A short drive from downtown it was necessary to use our car to access restaurants and cafes. We stayed here because we had tickets for the steam train to Silverton. No lifts, we were on the second floor but the outside stairs were not steep and carting cases was not a problem. The swimming pool and spa were a joy to use on such a cold, rainy day. The breakfast was adequate only. We had to drive to the railway Station and use the car park which was $8.00

If you are looking for a peaceful place to sleep this is not your hotel. It was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was polite and helpful. However, the Wifi did not work most of the time and the noise level was unbelievable. I slept for maybe 2 to 4 hours. Every person who walked down the outside hall and then down the stairs sounded like elephants. I could hear the TV of the person below me the entire night. The beds were comfortable though. If you are a hard sleeper then this will be your hotel, but if you are a soft sleeper then find someplace else.

It was just what I needed. Comfortable beds, microwave, and fridge. Everything worked well. Only tip I have...keep some shoes on. I walked barefoot and my feet were black. Other than that, it was clean.

Lovely owners and staff. Older motel that has been remodeled and is very nice. Clean and updated. North of town a couple of miles so the wonderful downtown of Durango is and a walkable distance.
