Good value for money safari lodge”
Quiet, few rooms, renovated common areas
Ezulwini Billy's Lodge is a safari lodge that includes full board and 2 game drives per day. The bedrooms in individual rondavels are slightly old but the common areas are brand new and renovated with taste. The food is unfortunately a little disappointing and the internet connection expensive and not working well...

Small, Cosy, Personal, Fun & Wild”
We've been to other private game reserves/lodges before in S.A. and love them all. It took a bit of getting used to on arrival because the lodge itself is quite small (ragarding grounds and capacity) compared to the other reserves/lodges we had been to. The grounds are quite nice with some nice flowers here and there but they also like to keep it as natural as possible (also conserving precious water) which means in the dry season the grounds also come across as dry compared to other lodges where they use quite a bit of water keeping the grounds lush and green. Once settled we liked the lodge quite a lot. The owner was very friendly, had drinks with us, took the guests down to his very nice wine cellar to taste some wines. Because it is such a small lodge you get to know the other guests very quickly and you also eat together. It's different but turned out to be very nice, cosy and friendly. The gamedrives were GREAT also compared to other reserves. The ranger and tracker really went out of their way to find the big 5 and other beautiful wildlife for you even if it means going off the gravel road and into the bush with the Landcruiser. That thing's a tank, haha. It was great and fun and we got up very close to a leopard, lions, elephants and even a black rhino which is very rare to see. All in all, we were a bit reserved when we arrived but it turned out to be one of our best experiences in S.A. to date. Thank you Lawrence! We will be back.
