The Villa Toscana offers good value for money. They provide airport transportation. Depending on traffic, the ride by car should take between 3 and 5 minutes (walking distance). The house is in a gated community, and it has a beautiful garden that is contiguous to the breakfast area. You may enjoy the complimentary breakfast indoors our outdoors (covered patio). The choices offered are all tasty winners. The kitchen does not operate during the rest of the day, but staff at Reception can order from various delivery options. If you have a light sleep, you should know that it is possible to hear aircraft late into the night. As the house is in a residential area, there is not much to do within walking distance - but the hotel can put you in contact with a taxi company, the staff of which are just as attentive and professional as the charming folks at Villa Toscana. I truly enjoyed my comfortable room (with flat-screen TV)! I definitely hope to return in the future!

The location is the best you can get.. right on the doorstep of Semuc Champey. You're in the middle of the jungle way up in the mountains so you can't expect a 5 star resort. The place was clean and well maintained and that's all you can ask for. Rooms were spacious. There is no hot water and the power is only on from 6pm to 11pm (by generator) and there is no Wi-Fi. These are not negatives tho. The experience you have here is peaceful and you're surrounded by beauty. The staff went the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The food was great, huge portions and the service was great. I would book this place again in an instant. You can tell that they really care about preserving the environment and integrity of Semuc Champey

The staff (couple of German guys) was very friendly, the place is just magic and the food/drink prices are fair even they could charge much more due to "monopoly". (ie. you cannot go anywhere else - you're in the jungle and the only way is by the boat). The food was great (fishburger), the sleep in the reed hut amazing, everything clean. Much better (and a lot cheaper) choice to stay than to go to Backpackers in Rio Dulce. There's a regular schedule the staff will take you to RD and back by the boat, so no need to move there.

The Euro Hostal is in a gated area. Check-in was easy. The hostal is creatively decorated. My bed was very comfortable. I had a wonderful balcony overlooking the city lights. Nice warm shower. Very helpful employees. Free ride to airport in the morning. This place was the best and it totally lived up to the reviews. I was sad I couldn't stay longer. Don't hesitate to reserve yourself a room here. The price is wonderful for the services and the room. Great value!

An expatriate couple runs the intimate Casa Elena (4 rooms) and gives each guest personal attention and care. From a multitude of tips and suggestions about how to make the most of your visit to the hearty and delicious home-cooked complimentary breakfast, you feel truly welcome from the moment that you arrive. The house is not in the geographic center of town, but a comfortable walk of 10 to 15 minutes will put you right in the main square. All major tourist attractions are easily accessible on foot, so distance is not a problem - and Casa Elena is on a quiet street near the road from Guatemala City. The house itself is beautifully decorated with local art. All rooms feature paintings, and the furniture is very pretty. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - they have storage areas that are more than adequate as well as TVs. The view from the terrace is unforgettable. Antigua is a magnificent town to visit, and this hotel would be an excellent choice from which to enjoy!

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It is not far from the airport and provide airport pick up which is very important as my flight arrives later after midnight. The next day, the hotel owner was so friendly to give me some local information and it took me just about $4 to go to city center. He also offered a $10 shuttle to Antigua. Everything works well in my short stay in Guatamala.
