"we were unfortunate because our neighbor was on phone and smoking all night on the bench in front of our room. we could not sleep until he went back to his room (at 1AM!). the walls are also very thin (like most motels) so we could hear his TV as well. This is not due to the hotel but more about the civility of the guest but still, putting bench right outside your room is not a good idea in my opinion "

"Great location at Morro Bay, 5 min drive from restaurants and opposite from golf course. Rooms are clean and what I liked is that I can open doors on each side of the room, and air out the room well when we first arrived. We had a garden view room, meaning facing the pool. "

"Receptionist was very friendly. Easy parking and updated lobby. This location actuall felt like a hotel compared to some of the other lodging places in Morro Bay. Rooms were clean and up to date. Their website is a little outdated so the rooms on the website do not show them update. Will definitely stay again."

"Our family of four stayed here for a couple of nights on a recent trip from San Francisco to Morro Bay. Our Irish relatives stayed across the street in a newer and more expensive inn. There were few differences between the two but the price. We had a great view of the Bay right out front but we couldn't see the rock from our 2nd floor room. Our relatives had a wrap around balcony and a panoramic view of the entire bay, rock, marina and estuary from their room. We paid just 40 dollars less per night than our Irish relatives for a good, but not luxury, room. As the season ends (mid September) it seems that the price of the 456 Embarcadero rooms decrease significantly. We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the above inn but for the price, it certainly wasn't value for money. I also was not happy that we were told there is a charge of 10 dollars for charging our electric vehicle overnight. Instead we travelled to Atascadero and SLO to use the superchargers. "

"From my perspective, all of the important issues were met: the place was clean, room was not cramped, bed was very comfortable, services/appliances functional, near the harbor on a quiet street. The demerits were trivial things like a tear in the curtain liner, shower could have been hotter, hair conditioner but no shampoo supplied (oversight?) But I have paid twice as much in Morro Bay for a bad night's sleep."

"We have stayed in Morro Bay many times at various hotels. The hotels are pretty much the same. This hotel was in a good location and met our needs. I would recommend it due to the location in Morro Bay - walking distance to almost everything in Morro Bay. I would stay again if the price was right (I got a very good price on this hotel--better than others due to a special rate Agoda was giving). We kept asking for two extra towels but never received them (they only gave one towel each per person and that's difficult if you want to put hour hair in a towel. We stayed 4 nights. We asked every day when the housekeeping came by - nope - not once! Second challenge was at check-in we asked for a room that had a view of Morro Rock - which could be seen on the 2nd floor. The lady looked for a room (staying 4 nights). Any room on the second floor would have accommodated our request except for the room in front of the stairway. What room did we get? Stairway room! Oh well! We adjusted to it. "
