Unwind with Limited Connectivity”
Nice place with clean basic room facilities for a remote location to have a relaxing time and unplugged with nature... Seaview may be partially obstructed by trees and the beach is towards the rocky boulders type.. Good place to unwind..

Amazing paradise”
We loved our stay in North Borneo Biostation, the chalets are very clean, spacious and cosy, the beds are big and confortable. The staff is nice and helpful, including the friendly dogs and little kittens:) The breakfast is ok, with 3 options, Malaysian, English and continental. A tip for improvements will be to include some fresh fruits . If you go, take the snorkelling or diving tour, we loved it!!

Out of the way place to stay”
First, the staff here are fabulous. Kudos to Biostation to have such an exemplary team of folks working there. The bungalow itself was lovely, very tropical wood with a comfortable bed and a lot of room to turn around in. Adding bedside stands with lamps would be a great addition. Others have mentioned the wonderfulness of the outdoorsy bathroom. I agree. Hot water was good. Biostationmis located on the Sulu Sea , it's entry into the water for swimming and snorkeling through slabs of rock of some kind. There is a house reef some 300 meters out, and Biostation offers exceptional snorkeling tours, courtesy of the very knowledgeable dive master and instructor Giovanni. We really enjoyed our snorkeling trip. Once you walk away from the sea entry near Biostation, there are some sandy beaches, but unfortunately there is lots of garbage, however Biostation keeps their area tidied up.

A perfect getaway if you want to disconnect from the outside world. Telephone line is practically non-existent but they have wifi at the restaurant. The beach is very peaceful and the chalets are very comfortable too.

Great Place to stay”
I recommend this hotel. The problem is to access it if you are not by car. But just get a taxi or rent a car and it should be no problem. Great isolated place with a very clean and beautiful beach in front of it.

Place to escape modern life”
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a secluded, romantic, baliness like place to stay in Borneo. The villa is totally rustic, studio unit. Upon entering our villa, I had to turn the aircond on for at least for 1 hour before the humidity dissipates from the air inside the villa. There is no tea/coffee facilities in the villa however, and wifi signal is only available if you are at or near the cafe. Be prepared to bring your own water because although you get 1 .5 litre bottle of water per night stay it won't be enough. They do sell bottled water from their cafe but be careful to look at the time as they have a closing time to sell stuff. As for breakfast (which was included in my package), it was so-so. I wish if they would have improve their menu and food choices for the better. Overall, you will be blown away with the scene and ambience of the whole place.

A great and clean place for a retreat from the concrete jungle. A little difficult to find the place as it is deep inside the jungle. Overall, great experience with a glimpse of glamping.

very clean hotel and walking distance to seaside. however, the sea view and the garden view chalet make no different. I had booked a sea view chalet. But in front of the chalet blocked by the trees and grass weeds.

Truly Gems of Kudat ! ”
Pros: 1) Quiet enough throughout the day since it's a bit isolated from any road. You got peace of mind here ! 2) Pets and staff are friendly too. 3) We are staying at Chalet no 2 , nice sea view from room . 4)Please be noted thy this resort is located on a hill and part of sea view maybe covered by trees in front of your chalet , that's all right for us ! 5) Water Current in in front of this resort are stable , no worry if you are not a good swimmer 6) Accesible by normal sedan car. Cons : 1) Restaurant close at 10.30pm(if I m not mistaken) , please make sure u fill up your stomach before that. 2)Food and drinks are expensive , that one we understand since it's a resort , nothing is cheap 3) No hair dryer is provided , ask the owner and its all right, since I almost bald :-) 4) Most of the beach at this premise are stony , you have to swim further 50m from the beach for better view of snorkeling. P/s : Please pick up any rubbish that you found while snorkelling.

Perfect road trip rest place”
This is the place to stay if you're on a road trip to see the tip of Borneo. Place seems deserted and the road leading to it is small and rocky, we thought we had the wrong location. The chalets are lovely with really big bathroom. Beach perfect for catching sunrise. Breakfast so-so.

It is a great place to stay in Kudat. The chalet & surrounding is very clean and well maintain. Walking along the beach in the morning has stunning view. The place has cats & dogs. If u r afraid of animals, it might be a bit tricky. Love the place as there is no mosquito at all. Hair dryer is upon request and water heater uses gas. You might need to ask for change if hit water is running low. Overall, I love the place and is highly recommended to be a nature getaway!

Perfect Stay”
Wonderful stay! I can say that it's really exceeded my expectations. Cozy houses with hammocks in backyard, palms, birds, crazy squirrels, sea view - all this facts make this place special. Little paradise. Location of the hotel exactly in front of the beach, it will take 1 min walk downhill to get to the wild beaches with wonderful stones. Easy access to the water. Dining is very nice and really tasty, friendly staff. Our suggestion is to go to the fish market to buy fish and seafood by yourself and ask staff to cook it for you. You will pay about 5RM per 100gr. Very nice cooking (steam/grill). Or you can ask John to buy for you fish when he will go to fish market. Good to know that owners of this place are Russians, so you can even try Borsch (russian soup). Totally recommended this place! Would like to stay here longer)
