Just what I expected! A party place to stay!”
Most of the guests like to stay up drinking and laughing until 1-2am. Then sleep to noon. Great central location in PP. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The place is kept clean. This would be a great place to get primed for the full moon party at Ko Phagnan!
Beside a bar ... too loud of music... and the music does not stop till 3.... the showere for hot is downstairs and the door when locked u could litterally open it with a spoon.... the location is central but just not worth it
Party hostel with no rules”
In the middle of the night around 2am two girls returned in the hostel really drunk, throw up all over the beds and the floor. No one to put rules. It is a place with the worst type of backpackers. If you want to sleep ,you are a problem for them.Only one toilet which could t use it.The receptionist didn't tell me that it opens at 9:00 am ,so I paid the deposit for the key and finally I could t take my money back. They should have tell me about that.
Cheap hostel to stay in Phi Phi”
The hostel is fine. Beds are fine too. The only problem is that it is next to a very crowed bar at night time and they always play live music. So if you go to bed early, you will be hearing a lot of noise up until 2 am, when everything closes. But if you are up until late and come back to the hostel drunk, you will sleep like a baby.
Phi Phi never sleeps ”
Great if you want to meet other travellers and party. Met some great likeminded people here. If you want to sleep, you won't, the hostel is right next to a bar which plays music until 3am. Otherwise location is good and it's cheap.
It was nice hostel with perfect location for night life n party, even it was hard to find for the first time they clean the rooms & bathroom every time But they dont have electric plugs near beds, so we have to share 2 plug with 8 people, and also we have to bring our own lock to use the locker But overall the hostel was good
Great location except a little noisy ”
great hostel. There's a bar next door with live music until about 2am, but it's pretty good music and you'll probably be out partying anyway. The hostel was comfortable and the staff wasn't the best but it's okay. They wouldn't turn the A/C off for us even though there were only three of us in the room and we were all cold. Then in the afternoon they turned it off and wouldn't turn it on! All in all, it was super cheap and we were happy.
Location it's in the name...!”
Okay this is never going to win prizes for being a great hostel, but if you want cheap and sort of cheerful then this place is a good 'get your head down' hostel. No frills just dormitories with bunk beds, a shower, close proximity to bars, the beach, a convenience store, pharmacy and medical centre. If you want to party then this is a great place to start it's all on your doorstep, loud music till the early hours, but you won't mind as you'll still be out. Lots of activities to choose, specially around the island tours, scuba diving, Snorkeling etc. Staff at the hostel were very friendly, I sent some washing off early one morning, was told it would be back the next morning, got back that afternoon to find it all washed, folded on my bed.
It's ok, it's clean enough, close to everything. Although it's a bit tricky to find. Easiest is to ask for banana bar instead of centerpoint. The staff talk little English but they trie to make the best for you
Cheap and central.”
Good location in relation to bars, beaches and viewpoint. Albeit Phi Phi is very small. Short walk from the pier. Great to meet people. No problems with the cleanness, rooms cleaned daily. Only drawback 2 showers between 24 people when the hostel is fully booked.
Short, but satisfactory.”
My stay was only 2 nights long and involved just returning to the Hostel to get some shut eye, but the hostel satisfied me on all expectations. Clean, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, great location, and cheap to boot. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
On a budget and basic accommodation”
My stay at centerpoint went rather smoothly, I stayed in the 10 bed mixed dorm which is located downstairs. I met some great people and as a result had a fab time in Phi Phi.on the other hand other guest didn't have the same experience. One guest checked in to then find out by other people staying in the room that the last person to sleep in the bed had urinated and the bed sheets had been changed but the matteress protecter was still wet! The staff said there was no more spare beds that evening so the person ended up sleeping on the sofa. He checked out the next day and they got a full refund The 10 bed room doesn't lock and people tend to come in and use the bathroom when the others are occupied. The main doors are locked at night and you are given a key for the side enterence but with a small push of the door it is easily open. There is a security guard at night but not sure he is fully aware of guest staying there as the previous night a guest had brought an additional person back! Enough said........ A few people complained about the bathrooms! To me they were on average for Phi Phi. And yes the air con gets turned off at 11am till 6pm but I didn't spend my days in the room so didn't effect me! Was cool enough during the evening! All In all I would recommend P.P. Centerpoint- staff are helpfully, location is great (central but you can at least get to sleep at night) and facilities are standerd for what you pay!
If you want ANY sleep don't stay ”
If you wanna party whole night and want some budget place to stay - this is for you. If not - stay away from this place. The bar next door is very bad (we have done bars next door before, but this is a different level). People staying here and drunk ignorants shouting at any time (even 4am). Many mosquitoes coming from the bathroom (which you cannot close from outside) - had to sleep with bug spray on as we were getting destroyed. Aircon works OK at night and gets turned off at 10am. Beds are OK. OUR FLIP FLOPS GOT STOLEN so don't leave them in front where they want you to. We did the Pirate boat tour - we highly recommend it, but there are new regulations on alcohol on boats from 15. June 2017, so only beer is sold on the board (of any party boat). Have fun :)
very good location ”
great location! very noisy dont expect to sleep before 2-3 am.. the staff weren't helpfull at all.. they also asked me 300bath for the deposit key (150 each for 2 people) and at the and of they stay they wanted to give me back only 200 bath .. hopefully I kept the receipt .. also there were cockroach in the bedroom
Awful staff, disturbing cleanliness, zero atmosphere. ”
Do not stay here!! To start, the staff treat all guests like they are a nuisance, so try not to to disturb them while they're texting or watching their favourite shows or you'll have a black mark against your name! I even woke up one morning (in a 12 bed dorm on my own) to a member of staff giggling in the bed next to me reading her text messages and charging her phone. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe it. I was put in a 12 bed dorm on my own being told there was no other space elsewhere, but when asking other guests they said there were spare beds in their rooms?! I did have other people staying in the room on the second night, but when they checked out I was horrified to see the 'cleaner' not even changing the sheets, just simply giving the bed a gentle sweep with a feather duster!! When asking why they didn't change the sheets she explained that if a guest only stays one night in a bed they don't change the sheets. I was utterly disgusted - anything can happen in those beds! I wouldn't consider myself a clean freak but I had to keep my eyes closed when having the COLD showers to distract myself from the ever-growing mould and dirty facilities. To top it off, when coming out of the shower I was greeted with a local staring at me through the bedroom window (where the curtains didn't shut properly). I was a solo female traveller so really didn't feel comfortable with this, especially as the dorm door didn't shut let alone lock, and the overall security of the hostel was terrible. When speaking to other guests they all had a similar feeling about the place; dirty, unwelcoming, antisocial and not to be recommended to anyone!
Great value, bring earplugs”
All in all a great place to crash while at Phi Phi on a budget. A lot of party-ers stay there so they come in late at night. Also, it's right next to a bar that plays awesome karaoke till 2am, so make sure you have earplugs if you want to go to bed before then. :)
good location but bedbugs..”
it was good located, in the middle of both beaches in the centre of phi phi and cheap. But they had bedbugs so.. no way. I think because they dont change very often the sheets, or at least they didnt change mine. Another girl had the entire body with bugbites, something very disgusting.. and well.. the smell of the shower is also not normal.. and the noise of the bar is another thing.. its impossible not hear them. The centre its full of bars and everything. Thats why you come to phi phi xD for partying.
Get ready for rowdy lads on holiday”
It's full of the backpackers of the worst type. Even though it's a hostel, almost everyone was there in a group. I wouldn't recommend it to solo travellers trying to meet other people. There's no real common area and it isn't a fun place to hang out. But if you're just looking for a bed to sleep in and you don't mind extremely loud and obnoxious people waking you up by puking/yelling/threatening drunken violence, it'll do.
Centre point for New Years ”
Disturbed sleep most nights, tiny lockers so nowhere to keep all our belonging, rude reception staff who go out of their way to not be helpful in any way, no common area so not a really social hostel, shower and toilet are combined with only 1 between 12 people.
It's a hostel”
It's a cheap hostel so don't expect much. Is 1-2 minutes from the beach, but next door to a bar that plays very load music throughout the night. Wifi works well, staff seem very uninterested in helping and hardly ever look up from their phones, not even when checking us in. We only stayed one night and then found ourselves a private room at another hotel for a cheaper price.
