Best hotels & accommodations in Rio de Janeiro Federal State

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The food was delicious and the room was spacious with everything I needed. The view from the rooftop is spectacular at sunrise and staff is also very friendly. The hotel is at a walking distance from Copacabana beach. I would be happy to stay here again!

I have been to Rio Several Times and I stay at a hotel around the corner. By far this was a much better hotel. The staff was simply amazing and spoke English well. The rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. I can not say anything bad about the hotel. In a great location. I would highly recommend to anyone. Follow me @ ...

Very nice place and location very good breakfast lots of to pick from nothing to add also very nice and friendly staff helping with anything you ask even if not speaking english I had great experience to make few friends Rafael, Thiago, Michel superb guys made our stay perfect and very welcoming till the last seconds of stay was very hard to leave but I believe is on...

perfect location for a stay in Rio de Janeiro. The beach is just right in front of you. and you can have a view of it from the room balcony. For an even better view, just go up to the swimming pool on the top floor, there you have a 270 degree viewing both the beach and the mountain of Christ the redeemer statues. The room is nothing fancy, but clean. friendly and hel...

at first, i was afraid to stay in this hotel, i was very surprised, they gave me a room on level 18 (i stayed for 7 nights. my room facing eastern side of copacabana. i could see very beautiful sunrise everyday just from the balcony of my room. it is easy to access copacabana beach and walking around. the staffs were also helpful. i think they have made some renovat...

Good choice for people who are in early morning flight departure/transit. Hotel located at Terminal 1, no transport require, its just 10-12min walking distance to Termianl 2, ( international departure hall) There is a food court just at the same level (3rd Floor) with Rio Airport Hotel

The Hotel interior is new, beautiful, and clean. Room were new, not so clean, toilet is new & good Restaurant food is good, delicious Bad: The Hotel doesn't have any signboard or title, we have very hard time to locate the hotel, even inside the hotel doesn't have a signboard or title

We enjoyed our stay at the Windsor excelsior immensely. And would stay again. The price was a little high but it was during carnival. You have to pay 15$ per day for each device which was probably our only issue during our stay. The staff were very friendly but surprisingly lacking in English for an international hotel, however, this seems to be just rio and Brazil in ...

My wife and I stayed at the Miramar Palace hotel in Rio arriving on January 1st. The hotel was late getting our room cleaned from the previous guests probably because of the large New Years Eve celebration the night before. Our stay was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and we enjoyed dining at the hotel one evening. We would s...

Hotel Atlantico Business is a nice hotel. It is narrow and high rise building with roof top swimming pool and with nice view in Rio de Janeiro and Sugar Loaf. The hotel is located at the central area of Rio de Janeiro (Centro) and near from major attractions and it is not far from Capacabana Beach (five minutes’ drive). The hotel standard, amenities and service...

It is a better business hotel in the CBD area as compared to others and walking distance to the convention sites. Beds are comfortable, breakfast was great and a not too bad gym for working out. Wi-Fi is provided in the room. Busy area during the weekdays and nearby to tram stops and many eateries around. Although is a 4 star hotel, bring own toiletries as it does not ...

this is my business trip, price is not cheap but Sheraton is a world wide hotel, so the services has guarantee, this is the first time i being this hotel, that is near by the beach, just the room a little bit small but it can accept, around the hotel place is beatiful, restaurant is very good!!

I had not stayed in Downtown Rio before so this was a first. This hotel is perfect if you are not a beach bum and prefer to visit historical places of interest and pubs and restaurants. It is right in the centre of Rio and you tend to meet some of the more normal Cariocas, i.e those who dont party 24/7. Thiongs were a good bit cheaper here than in Zona Sul so that w...

I booked the Executive King Room because of the King Size bed. It was very Comfortable and Big. The room itself was a bit on the small size and didn't have enough closet space for me. On the plus side the Safe was big enough to accommodate my 13" laptop. The shower was a good size with good water pressure. However the bathroom was a little tight. My room was towards...

It is a little hard to locate the hostel; it takes time and effort to reach it as it is on a slope. The staff are helpful and informative; some speak Engish. The dorms are not too big with 9 bunk beds. The room has big lockers to store lugguage. There are small lockers in the lounge next to the reception. You need to have your own locks for big lockers and ask for a ke...

The friendly welcome at the hostel is great! No matter when you arrive, you can lock the luggage in a safe room until you can check in the room. Although the rooms were quite small - but that's normal in Rio for that price - the stay there was very very nice! The whole hostel was very clean (also very very clean toilet), and everybody (included cleaning staff) tried ev...

I came in at night from Sao Paulo. Hostel was a bit outside the town center, it was only a 10-minute walk from the bus station and not that difficult to find even at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent Spanish (which was better for my broken Spanish than my non-existent Portuguese). Got a whole room to myself but paid only around $40, because i...

The location was prime (near the Copacabana beach) and amenities such as a drug store and a supermarket were located nearby. The staff were English-speaking and really friendly, but the room was rather cramped (even for a hostel) and lacked ventilation. Not for long term stays.

The location is so nice,200m from the beach and metro station and it is safety area in Ipanema area. Staff are really nice and kind and they can arrange the tours. There is a bar inside we can drink and eat pizza. It is a nice hostel. If I come back to Rio de Janeiro,I will stay here again. AKIRA OHKAWARA

Santa Tere Hostel is great, in fact we like it so much that we have extended our stay. The hostel is only 4 months old so everything is new and works perfectly. The staff are really friendly and have been so helpful in helping us arrange tours and onward transport to Ilha Grande. The hostel itself is located in Santa Teresa which has more of a local feel than Copacaban...

I like the staff (Naiara and the other Italian girl-sorry I forgot her name) are very cool and beautiful girls, and speaks English. It makes my stay easier. They always try their best to clean the place, but other guests are doing their best to make it gross. Toilets are in the dorm room but far from the beds, which is good.Wifi is much better, breakfast is good and ...

I stayed there before, during & after carnival 20 days total.. I tried to move down to Lapa & or Copacabana but the facilities or the location where either dirty, too loud or too small. Terra Brasilis was the best hostel I could’ve stayed there during my visit. Ulises, Matheus and the owners not to mention the cadelas were really awesome!! 🌞🌠😝

Everything ok, except for the location, you can tell it’s not the safest neighborhood because the hostel has two code secured doors and they change the code once a week. I arrived late at night and another guest let me in, then the receptionist told me I was not allowed into the building without a reservation (so they wouldn’t have let me in even though it’s not the s...

I stayed 2 nights at Maracuja and it was great! The staff is lovely, the hostel is clean and very well located : 5min from the historical center. The hostel has nice terrasse on the canal to chill and to have a nice caipirinha at sunset. I definitely recommend you to stay there!

Nice hostel with a friendly staff and great breakfast just a walking distance from Geriba beach. Some restaurants and small market very nearby. To be honest I was expecting little bit more based on the reviews. It'd be nice if there would be somekind of hangout area outside where you could mingle with other guests. Also more hammocks would be very nice, there was only ...

Hostel offered airport transfer so no problems with finding the hotel's location. It is located in a private & guarded neighborhood, very convenient going around Rio as it is near a train/bus stations. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and breakfast was sufficient. Only problem was the noise as we were near the kitchen area. Overall, we had a great stay at Injoy. ...

Pros: I stayed in a 14-bed dorm room but I was alone the whole time I stayed. Breakfast is one of the best/generous offered in the area. I had a really bad asthma attack my 2nd night at the hostel and Cacaia took care of me like a mom - bringing hot chai latte, water, breakfast and even lunch in bed along with extra pillows and blankets... even her own scarf. She and...

The hotel is very close to the Escadaria Selarón, the metro, and public transportation. It is clean, comfortable, and cool! The breakfast is delicious and could use a little variety, especially since we stayed there 4 nights. The staff is helpful, but when they're busy, they can be a little curt. For late nights, after 11 p.m. it would be great if the kitchen was o...

Mango Tree was a good place to stay. The staff was very helpful with tips for us, directions, recommendations for restaurants, and assistance with transportation, and airline boarding passes. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels were really good. The location is excellent, with the beach two blocks away and the subway 3 or 4 blocks away. Wi-Fi was very pr...

There is one very important thing I did not like. I don't live in Brazil although I am from Brazil. I decided to stay at this hotel and during the day when friends or family came they could not come up with me to my room. Hotel staff said it was for safety reasons. But even my mom and dad could not come up even for a just quick coffee. I have stayed in other hotels in ...

I've stayed in 5 hostels in Rio. This one had the worst value for the same money. It feels like the owners try really hard to earn as much as possible while providing a bare minimum. The room had a tiny window and felt like a prison cell with poor air ventilation. The bathroom had no soap. You can't even wash both of your hands at the same time, because you have to k...

Centro isn't as glam as Copacobana or Ipanema, or particularly close to a beach. The area is a bit grotty but has the best architecture and is on the metro so beaches are not that far away. In terms of price it is considerably better than the beach areas. Not only is the hotel cheaper, the rooms are better, breakfast is better etc. We'll book when we return to Rio in ...

This was my very first hostel stay and I'm glad I stayed with discovery. The friendly staff made my stay really comfortable and the fellow hostelers were also very amiable. Nevertheless, I must add that staying at discovery really enriched my Rio experience (travelling literally half way across the globe).

rio is not a cheap city to stay so the orla is not cheap but we found it to be a fantastic option in rio. the hotel is in the perfect location right between copacabana & ipanema so you are in easy access to them both. we found ipanema nicer than copacabana but the view of copacabana beach from the roof of orla was amazing so i would definitely stay there again if i was...

Everything was amazing in this stay, and I would definitely like to come back! The front desk worker, Elyaquim, was amazing! He helped us with everything we needed. He had truly made our stay better in the hotel. The facilities are great! Staff very friendly, English speaking.

My mom and I spent a total of 4 nights at this hotel and we had the most incredible stay! The accommodations were great, the staff were the kindest, the breakfast was delicious, the location was prime, and the hotel manager was such a gem! He made sure our stay in Rio De Janeiro was a memorable one. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was truly one of...

The reception guy is unapologetic, we booked and paid for Bohemian tour a night before the tour but he sent us to Buzios beach. The whole day of that tour is ruined for we spent much of traveling 180km from and to Rio. Upon reaching the hotel, the reception guy just say sorry without sincerity.

The hotel is very good with very good and friendly hotel staff. Also the location is five stars. Further the hotel has very nice views and a very beautilful terras with swimming pool. Next time I will be in Rio de Janeiro I would go to the same hotel again. I recommend this hotel to other people.

The hotel is perfect for a few days in Rio. It's less than 4 minutes walk to Copacabana beach, the breakfast is good and the twin room was fine. Not huge, but more than enough for two people. We will be back! Only problem was the pool wasn't open when I was there :-(

I have booked only one night as i was transit 20 hours in Rio, i reached early at 7:00 , hotel staff refused to give me a room which they already have while i had a trip at 8:00 , it is their right but they was not helpful at all. I returned from my trip at 8 Pm and left hotel at 9 Pm . Room was very spacious and clean, location is good.

The personal was very competent and helpful, we enjoyed the very good breakfast (indeed the best breadfast we have had in Brazil). The Pousada was divided into several buildings, all of them nice and well renovated historical dwelling. We have felt very well at Pousada do Ouro during all our stay. Pousada do Ouro is well located directly in the historical center of Pa...

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel in Feb 2013. I stayed at a couple of other places in Buzios but I was pleased to return to the Serena, receiving a warm welcome when I arrived. The hotel and staff were excellent and certainly exceeded my expectations for the following reasons: The location is great as it is in a quiet, safe area, close to shops and restaurants an...

Location was good and price was reasonable. Meager amenities and even the promised facilities like fitness center were out of order for the duration of our stay. House keeping was slow and lacked attentiveness, if we didn’t make a special request at reception for our room to be cleaned we often got back to the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening to a room that ...

Don’t think twice about going to Rio, we never felt threatened or in any danger, on the contrary the people were the sweetest, most helpful you could hope to encounter. By booking with Agoda we saved a fortune compared with the hotels own website or travel agent prices and breakfast was included. (With others it would have been £50 per day for the two of us.) Cop...

The Sofittel Rio De Janeiro is an excellent hotel. It is located in the best spot you can ask for - just on the border btween Impanema beach and Copa Cabana. You can walk few minutes only in order to enjoy each one of them. The view from most of the roomms is stunning, the staff is very freindly and speaks perfect English. The breakfasr next to the pool and infront of ...

Great little boutique style hotel. Staff were friendly although only a few staff spoke English but they always came quickly to assist when staff could not understand. We were with little kids so the beach in front of the hotel was great for me with the cooler water and the big waves, but the children preferred the beaches on the other side which were warmer and smaller...
