Great value for hotel in Valparaiso. Has best terrace with view in the area. Staff is very helpful and hotel is very modern. Cheaper options available with hostels but this is overall a good value

Really great location. The property was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and responsive. I'd recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here 7 days for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The place has great views that looks out to the ocean. It was also very clean and hand built by the owner and his son. But the best part of all was the staff, from the owner Jerom to our local guide Natalie, they were extremely friendly and we got along so well with them to the point that we would share wine and cheese plates on the balcony while enjoying the sunset and sharing stories with each other. They helped us get the best prices for rentals (lower than advertised in town) and completely tailored day trips to whatever we needed. This place goes above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. Definitely highly recommended!

The hotel can see the sunset and close to seaside. It would take 10 minutes to walk to downtown along the coast.

Good hotel with some very quirky features. The outside is very well done and our room had a carved pole in the centre of it. Staff are excellent

Inaki Uhi is right on the main street, close to everything and 7 minutes walk to beach and diving center. Marianela is so sweet, she helps many things including free pickup and drop off at the airport, booking tour and kari kari dance show. the room is cozy and clean. wonderful place for a great price

The room was good value, hotel was in a great location in town. The only town on Easter Island, with some restaurants here and there and convenience stores nearby. However, the hotel owner Marcelo is not an honest person. I asked him 3 times to help book a restaurant (an island special dinner and folk dance performance), and each time he recommended his own. The final time, he lied that he had booked the restaurant and came back to tell me the restaurant decided to cancel dinner service that evening. A total lie. For that reason alone, and Easter Island being a once-a-lifetime destination, he did ruin my holiday. And for that reason alone, I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

Both Kori and Marcela were fantastic. There is such a homey feel, great conversation and the opportunity to meet a lot of people in different places in their life's journey. The accommodation is very comfortable, and is close to the centre of town (an easy walk away). Marcela picked us up from the airport and took us to the accommodation and then dropped us off at the airport afterwards. Such a fantastic service. I was only there for a day (half a day really), but had the opportunity to visit different sights which again were in walking distance of the accommodation. Going into town, the people were very friendly...I was able to sit and talk with a store owner and one of her customers while enjoying a delicious empanada and coke. People greet you in the streets and are generally very welcoming. Makes you want to come back....and for more than just a day. The other tourist' that I spoke to, also felt the same way. Basically, you don't want to leave.

5 blocks from beach; lodging includes parking, breakfast and WIFI. It’s gated, safe, cute with personality! B&B is walking distances from many great places to eat, all with terrace/sidewalk seating.

This should be more of a bed and breakfast, i think. The staff is excellent, extremely friendly. The hot water is the big issue...there is hardly any, because it is solar power based. So, if you get up early or if it is a cloudy day, you are in the cold. The breakfast could use some improvements, some sort of fruit would be nice. The eggs that they serve are amazing, green range chicken eggs. If you are a vegetarian, you are down to bread and butter with cheese and jam. They also arranged my car rental.

Booked for 2 nights but ended up staying all week. I was picked up promptly at the airport with a fresh flower gift. They have lots of amenities at reasonable rates: mountain bike and ATV rentals, and laundry service. Kitchen is fully equipped to make meals and eat ocean-side. The view is phenomenal especially at sunset. Town is 20-30 minute walking distance, super safe and scenic. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. The rooms and common areas are kept super clean. People are sweeping and mopping a few times a day. Just sitting outside on one of the tables or lounge chairs out front watching the ocean is a full on vacation.

We had a fabulous time at Cabanas Christophe. We were met at the airport by Christophe. He took us on a whistle-stop tour of Hanga Roa pointing out important landmarks - restaurants, markets, etc. Our room was perfect - very comfortable, lots of space and the views were marvellous. It is the ideal spot for the walk to Orongo - it is across the road. We hired a car via Christophe. That made getting around the island a lot easier. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning and our fridge had milk, juice, jam (delicious) and butter. This was replaced as and when needed. Plenty of tea and coffee too. Our room was cleaned every day. We were made very welcome at Cabanas Christophe and enjoyed our stay. I recommend it highly.

This is my third time in Valparaiso in 2 years and I stay in the same hotel. It is comfortable and well priced and just a few minutes walk from the centre. I will stay there on my next visit.

Winebox Valparaiso is a wonderful place to stay. Up on the hills overlooking Valparaiso, it is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. We had a wine tasting with Grant the owner and 11 other people up on the rooftop terrace. The wine was great and the company was fantastic. The rooms are well designed and very unique. The graffiti on the walls matched the decor of the city very well. Overall I would highly recommend staying at this fantastic hotel.

Casa Volante's central location made accessing shops, banks and some tourist "must sees" (Plaza Sotomayor, the working Ascendors) easy. That the local bus and metro services were also within walking distance enabled us to easily access areas further afield as well. The friendly, knowledgeable staff (especially Renee) helped us decide what to see and how to get there, as well as providing all the local info to allow us to easily locate ATMs that accept international cards, supermarkets and dining options. That Casa Volante is situated right in the heart of the "picture postcard" area of Valparaiso gave us a taste of living within reach of the locals - a taste of the "real" Valparaiso.

Excelente hotel, limpo, simples, funcional. A localização em Valparaiso é bem próxima dos principais pontos de atração. Ele é facilmente acessado por taxis, que custam pouco, ou remises. Roupa de cama e banheiros limpos. O pessoal de atendimento é atencioso e prestativo. Muito simpáticos. Café da manhã é bom e servido em local bem agradável com vista para a cidade.

The hotel is very nice, with excellent views of the sea and Valparaiso. The location is perfect and handy to everything, including the metro that goes to Valparaiso. Staff is helpful. I guess the only thing that could be improved is the food. It lacks of any style, and instead they just try to satisfy everyone with a bit of different cuisines - bad idea and combination. Despite this i believe is a must, especially for couples.

We enjoyed the hotel very much after we got settled in. Getting to it and the small street leading to it made you wonder what you had gotten yourself into. But the staff was very very helpful and most of them spoke good English. The manager went out of her way to try to make everything good for you. The only problems were the small rooms and the out of the way of getting to the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Higueras on our honeymoon. Not only did the hotel provide excellent service and facilities, but gorgeous sweeping views of Valparaiso and an incredibly sophisticated atmosphere with understated beauty. Special bonuses of a wonderful hotel restaurant (rated as one of Valparaiso’s best), romantic live music (a guitarist and saxophonist) during dinner, a lovely pool, and the ability to borrow some classic movies from reception for free to watch in your room if you needed some rest like we did.

Chile is a bit expensive for the tourist and Valparaiso is no exception. This hotel may be the best accommodation in Valparaiso but compared with hotels in other countries for the price, you may feel a bit underwhelmed. Be aware that this is a noisy area and there is no air conditioning. Judith is great host and made my stay more enjoyable. I can recommend Hotel Manoir Atkinson.

Both nights had to speak with three people to get them to turn down the control Co trip for the AC. To make matters worse, there was work in hotel property outside hammering the pavement from 11:30pm-1AM one night; the other night there was a group of drunken people directly outside hotel making noise until 4am. Breakfast was sad, hallways hot, but it was clean.

El Mirador is more of a family-run home than a hotel, and gives a pleasant feeling of living wih a caring family. It is hard to find (Valparaiso is an imporssible labyrinth even for the GPS) - but the views form a little terrace are worth trying. The rooms are a bit run down, but impeccably clean and touchingly decorated with hand-made lace curtains and bed linen. You should not hope for a giant breakfast there, but it will be enough to start you running and exploring the 40 hills of Valparaiso.

The B&B has great views. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the main store area. Its location is a bit inconvenient as its a steep walk back from the beach or town. The owner will pick you up and drop you off at the bus station in Vina, but otherwise, was not very friendly and did not offer many recommendations about the surrounding area. The taxi I took had some problems finding the hotel, so it's probably best to have the owner pick you up rather than taking a taxi. Would recommend travelers to have their own car.

Staff is wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Comfy bed. Quiet room. Great location. It was perfect for us! We loved our stay and will be back!

It's clean and bright. Friendly people works there, they are ready to help you in all your needs. You feel yourself at home.

We arrived at this hostel later in the evening (after 10pm) due to dealing with the police after our rental car was broken into and our backpacks were stolen. We did not have the ability to call or email the hostel, but the owner kept our room for us and greeted us in person when we arrived. When we explained the situation, he helped us by covering the broken window of our rental car with plastic and duct tape. He was very kind to us. Our room was clean and nice. The location of the hostel was great as it was close enough to the center, but far enough to be quiet and safe. Breakfast was wonderful. Internet was good. The facilities were nice. This hostel is run by a French couple who speak English, French, and Spanish fluently. A great find!

It was my first time staying in a hostel so I was a little worried, however it exceeded my expectations by far! Amazing breakfast that varies everyday, best service I ever experienced in any hotel and comfortable and clean rooms! If I ever have the opportunity to visit this magical place again I will definitely stay here again!
