Solo Female Traveler”

I traveled to Nassau the very first weekend the island open back up, and it was only for a weekend trip Fri-Sun. Traveling went smooth the island residents are following strict rules and they expect for vacationers to do the same which is honorable. Hotel was pretty empty lol which was fine but kind of boring at the same time, to my knowledge it was only one restaurant open and it was a very limited menu, I didn't really feel the "all inclusiveness" I was hoping for even with the drinks at the pool, but all in all the room was clean, pillows were tiny and the hotel employees were GREAT, very nice and got me anything I needed.

This is the quickest checkout I’ve ever had the whole process was probably like 10 secs...no kidding here! Tell them what your room number is, return key and pool towel card and cut you wrist band and boom you’re out of there...it really is all inclusive 3 meals, snacks during meal all beverages including alcohol. All you can drink and eat, isn’t that awesome? Everything is perfect, but there was just one time we decided to try another one of their restaurants and bam service was really bad. We were told we had to wait for 45 mins, we had nothing to do and no where to be so it wasn’t a big deal at all, but when it turn into almost 2 hours wait that’s ridiculous and the staff wasn’t friendly and helpful at all and a lot of customers are complaining about this and it was immediately taken care of. It really a great place and there’s one more reason I didn’t give it a five star is that the ac control panel wasn’t working so our room was so cold and there’s only bed sheets not a comforte

Paradise indeed but staff can be a little kinder”

Pros: beautiful beach, pool party at the infinity pool, the jerk hut was amazing, very clean Cons: It’s all inclusive but you can’t order food on the beach or at the pool. I was starving between 11am-12pm and the staff was not empathetic. I did not want the continental food. If there was an option to order hot food outdoors that would have been better. My friend got sick also and we checked out at 1:40 pm. I apologized and was always on the premise. The manager Terryann was very unkind in her demeanor. I just feel that at these resorts the black visitors are not catered to the way the non-black visitors are. Show some compassion.

Great Location - Evening Restaurant Booking System Needs Overhaul”

The location and the overall Beach/Pool and daily Buffet is a good value. Where the RIU suffers greatly is their room service menu, and the way they handle how you are able to dine in one of their evening restaurants. It’s not explained to you upon check-in we believe on-purpose. See you cannot make a reservation (Or) walk in to be seated. You have to be their at 5:15 sharp and your given a pager. Then you are either seated or you return at a later time. Note. The lady that handles their steakhouse is flat out rude. She acts like she does not even want to be there. The steakhouse is loud, and basically the same food on the buffet, accept takes about 90 minutes to dine. Also. Do not bother asking for extra portions. You only allowed to get one serving at any of the evening restaurants. If you can overlook the food your ok.

The resort is beautiful, great staff, clean place the only thing they need to fix is the food, same thing everyday , they don’t taste good that’s my only problem everything else is perfect 👌🏾

Book Elsewhere”

This hotel is not worth the money at all, it is overpriced and doesn’t offer any value for your money. The rooms are small, they do not have any activities at the resort, only one restaurant is open out of the five they advertise on the website. The jacuzzi was out of order when I stayed there and the location on paradise island isn’t the best, I would honestly recommend booking elsewhere if you’re visiting Nassau.

Overall quality of this property is poor. From food quality selection, drink options, look and feel of property, and experience at the actual beach. This property is directly next to a public beach which is equivalent to a bohemian beach bazaar. Constant Hagler‘s and beach walkers will solicit and pester you throughout your entire day on the beach. If you think you are staying at a high end all inclusive resort, you are not. Recommend staying at Baja Mar or Atlantis which you will have a significantly different experience of the Bahamas.

Food stunk. Ice maker in floor was broken. Room phone didn't work. No instructions or room service menus in room. Room smelled of mildew. Crazy expensive for a Motel6 quality. Agoda sent receipt for 1 person when should have been 2 so got hut with a dbl pmt at check-in. Agoda has zero customer support in the app.

Best hotel I've been in”

This is the best hotel experience I've ever had so far. Definitely recommend to couples and or groups since it's all inclusive.

This is an amazing ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT! Me and wife had fun! This is was like a relaxed chill hotel. It’s not like Cancun where it’s nightlife clubs and stuff like. I think there was not much stuff going on due to covid and lockdowns they have for the locals. Like I said it’s nice and relaxing. There is a 24/7 bar open in the hotel. They do small little shows at night time then after that the dj will play all type music which was great. The staff there is amazing. Everyone is super nice! SHOUTOUT TO THE SERVER AT THE POOL SIDE HER NAME IS SHAUNIQUA SHE IS SUPER GREAT AND VERY FRIENDLY!! She kept the drinks coming! She made our time at the pool very very relaxing and fun! Make sure to tip these wonderful people! The only thing I did not like about the pool was that the DJ will play a little music and then leave then come back and then there is no more music… we need music to have fun at the pool! Everyone was saying “where is the dj” “DJ DROP THAT BEAT”. They should have a dj there till the pool is close! But either then that we had a great time! Bahamas you did great to us! Much love !

Wait to Visit ”

Some of the amenities were not available at the resort. The town had a 8:30PM curfew due to Covid. No liquor in the room or snacks. Swim up bar closed. Mask required in the hotel and when approaching the bar. Staff was fantastic..... great people. I would just hold off for a while

Less than Impressed July 2021”

My Wife and I along with another couple stayed in RIU Paradise Island. The location is great. The facilities are nice. The food was marginal. The service in the restaurants typically very slow and mediocre at best. Cleanliness of the pool area was not good. Trash cans were left overflowing. I expect much better from RIU.

Very Comfortable nd Safe for Solo Travel”

I went to this resort as a last minute vacation and I had an amazing time. The food selection was very good (Jerk Hut was awesome!) and it's in a nice location. The ocean is beautiful, beaches are nice and clean.

Hola, el Hotel está muy bien ubicado. Realizamos el check-in muy bien y rápido con todo listo para alojarnos inmediatamente. Los servicios en todo el Hotel en general muy bien. Pero muy desconformes con el servicio de atención en los restaurantes, ya que no existe reserva sino una larga fila de gente desde las 18.30 hs. para cenar y nos dijeron teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de mesas disponibles. Por lo demás todo bien .

Empfehlenswert”

Hatte mehr bekommen als ich erwartet hatte. 1a Lage an der Beach. 1a Essen (3 mal am Tag Auswahl an einem riesigen Buffet und dann auch noch Snacks am Nachmittag). Freundliches Personal. Unterhaltung und Shows am Abend. Tagsüber entweder faulenz an der Beach oder an einer der vielen Inselattraktionen teilnehmen.

Muito aquém das expectativas ”

A gerência do hotel não consegue dar a este riu Palace o brilho que ele merece. 1 em cada 4 membros do staff é bom ou muito bom, os restantes são simplesmente terríveis ( não existe meio termo ). Desde indicações contraditórias a pedidos errados, os restantes 75% do staff estão completamente perdidos. O Hotel aparenta ter boas condições originalmente, no entanto, está completamente mal mantido desde ACs a chover dentro do hotel, a simples vasos caídos sem que alguém do staff passasse por eles e os colocasse de pé. A comida é uma roleta russa. Ou boa ou má, não há um meio termo também. As bebidas são terríveis, não houve um único cocktail que se conseguisse beber, parecendo que a intenção é colocar os hóspedes bêbados às 11 da manhã. TL;DR: Procurem outra alternativa se possível.
