The location is in a quiet neighborhood yet close to whatever you would need in walking distance. A short taxi ride will take you almost anywhere in Durban. The hosts are friendly and helpful. This is a place with many repeat clients of which i will become another.

A delightful guest house”
We loved this guest house. Delia and Warren, the hosts were charming and very hands-on. The breakfast was great, no grease and exactly what we asked for. The room was spacious with a separate lounge area. The linen was good quality and crisp with cosy down duvets. We will certainly go back!

Really excellent stay. Owner-operator couple and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were great! Linen and laundry service was better than 4-star. Free wifi was very good. The building architecture and furnishings were lovely; and the location very nice. It really was value for money.

From the balcony of my room, I can see the sea at night time which is very beautiful. The staff took care us as their family. The breakfast is very good and nice. I you need pleasant stay please think about Roseland House at Helen Joseph street. I miss you.

First of all, I like staff of this hotel. They are so nice. They can help us everything. The breakfast in the morning is the same in everyday but it is good quality and also various kind of foods. The decoration of the room is very nice with Victoria style. The bathroom is very big with the bathtub. They also have 2 swimming pools in the guest house although I did not use it. I love this guest house "Roseland".

we booked a room for 4 people - two to sleep on a sleeper couch. unfortunately, my two sons aged 17 and 19 could not fit on the couch which was very uncomfortable, so my one son ended up sleeping on the floor.

The hotel is a sort of a serviced appartment where there is no restaurant but the family prepares for you the breakfast and any meal on request will be prepared for you at a cost.

Quaint guest house, nice but a bit dated”
Found the place eventually. Really nice old house, but decor very outdated (particularly bathroom). Very friendly, but service was very amateur. Not rude at all, just a bit sub-standard (think Manuel rather than Basil). Got to the point where it was amusing: a fellow guest was served her breakfast before the staff realised her sausage was missing from the plate. The plate was quickly taken off her with her knife and fork in mid-air before being replaced under her floating cutlery 15 seconds later complete with sausage. So, don't expect 5*hotel service, but that aside, it's a nice place.
