Decent lower budget option”

Some bad reviews here, but had no problem at all. Room is dated, but it is the 'budget' option for the Atlantis. And what does it matter when the pool and beach are literally minutes away?!

Nice place to stay if you don't want to be in the middle of all the crowds.”

Cheaper of the Atlantis resorts. It's cheaper and the rooms reflect that. Not horrible, but could use updatinge. Provides shuttle service anywhere you want to go inside Atlantis. Less crowded than the Royal, but a short walk inside brings you to the Casino inside the Royal. Reasturants throughout the resort are expensive and water is only $3.50 a bottle, not $10 as some posted in their reviews. Similiar to staying in Disneyworld.

Easiest access to the Ocean”

While booking I was really wanting to stay at the Royal but for the price I decided in the Beach instead and I am so glad. The Royal was not Ocean front and required a lot of walking and then was to the logon and not the breath taking Ocean front like we had. This beach front was more too as my sister stayed at the Cove and had rocks and not the fun crowd and venders.

Hospitality and service ”

Staff working at some of small breakfast locations were not very attentive or friendly. Staff at the some of the outdoor restaurants were very impatient and rude especially the towel huts . Front entrance and lobby staff were great. Room cleanliness in the Atlantis Beach hotel was very poor, bathrooms were not very clean. Tub and sink. fixtures leaking and loose. One trash been for the entire room located in the bathroom (small).. Hospitality training needed for line staff. Frequent traveler. Service not as good as can be.

Nickel and Dime”

We stayed at the Atlantis Beach Tower. Now granted it is not the highest end of all the available towers but at the same time it is the Atlantis and not cheep. Everything costs money that isn't mentioned at check in. Beach access fees 10 dollars per night per guest, room cleaning, not included in the hotel price and additional 50 dollars, a list of free amenities available to guests, not free at all, 55 per guest per night. The staff is boarder line rude and at best unprofessional. Dining and everything there is very very expensive. The average for a family of 4 is 260 for dinner. Everything carries a 12% VAT or tax and everything has a 15% gratuity included regardless of what it is, water, a drink, you name it. Lastly the room its self is no better than your average motel 6. Poor water pressure, the hotel actually runs out of hot water in the evening and there is damaged grout and tile though out the bathroom. It was extremely disappointing to be sure, especially for all the money.

Don't buy into the hype”

Atlantis is a HUGE property, with a lot to offer as far as a great beach, tons of sea life exhibits all over the resort, and the room was ok. HOWEVER, for the money it is definitely not worth it! Drinks are $17 each and food is priced about the same. Would definitely recommend either staying at the Comfort Suites next door (you still get access to Atlantis facilities) or the all inclusive RIU nextdoor. OR, just pick a different Caribbean destination altogether and get more for your money. I typically visit the Dominican Republic, but wanted to try something different. EVERYTHING is so over-priced here. They definitely capitalize on the tourists.

Poor Customer Service ”

The Atlantis was fully aware that Social Advancement Group, nonprofit org, came to the Bahamas for a Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief follow up event that was cohosted with The Bahamas International Church of Christ and Hope Worldwide. We catered to the victims in the shelters or living with relatives. It is 1 thing not to receive a room donation from The Atlantis due to, “timing.” It’s another thing to receive surprise charges for maintaince and beach services during checkout. Management was aware that my guest and I were way too busy preparing for the event to even enjoy the beach. Not only were the charges a surprise, but management never even considered waiving them knowing I was in the Bahamas helping the people. Im one of the many tourists that actually care about the islands and its people, so to receive a room for the 2nd time within 2 months that wasn’t fully functioning and be presented with unfair charges after having changed my room twice, is appalling.

Don't stay in beach tower; ongoing construction”

Atlantis is at a good location with loads of facilities. However the beach tower is fun down. The facilities in beach tower are so old, with construction noisy from 7am to 4pm everyday. I think the resort is doing the renovation, if you are planning your travel in the next 6 months, try to avoid this resort. Additionally, the staffs there are not helpful at all, they lied in front of our faces and denied the fact there was no construction noisy when we went to complain in the afternoon after our tour around 5pm ish. Don't fallen into the trap of the room includes the water park tickets and pay extra for it. The resort fees everyday include the water park access.

Good”

The pool was awesome.. Hotel is clean and comfortable.. The Food is so so and pricey.. but what do you expect.. its Bahamas...

Low price, aging facilities ”

The price was very good however the facilities were beat-up pretty good. You can tell everything (room, hallways elevators) have been used pretty hard but covered up with a coat of paint. Definitely bargain bin and you get what you pay for. We didn't spend a lot of time inside though and access to the rest of the resort made up for it.

Too expensive! ”

Beautiful but expensive. The food is insanely expensive and not always worth it... for 2 people, we spent no less than $200 a night on food. Breakfast and lunch are also a pretty penny. On the last day, housekeeping didn’t even bring us towels- told us they would bring them later because they didn’t have fresh towels and that never happened. Other than that, the staff was very responsive and nice and it was absolutely beautiful.

A blast for families!”

Stayed with family of 2 kids (10 and 13). Waterpark activities are a blast! Overall hotel garden and pools are fantastic.

I’m an avid traveler and have been to multiple countries. I have been to the Bahamas four times prior however about 15 years ago. I don’t think I will ever return back to the Atlantis. The high taxes on everything, average bar drinks, lack of customer service by some staff, quality of food for what you pay Was extremely disappointing.

We had made a reservation to stay at the Beach hotel and were not happy with our room. The door did not open as it was shut from the inside. When we finally got inside it was very out dated with carpets on the floor. The room smelled like mold and was dirty. Luckily the staff at the hotel was super nice and friendly so they upgraded us to the coral hotel. We were very happy with our stay there!
