Find hotels near Enoshima in Kamakura, Japan

Breath Hotel is a fantastic find on the shores of Fujisawa. I had booked a two night stay in order to relax and visit Enoshima Island. Upon arriving at the train station, I realized that I had booked the wrong dates and had arrived a day early. Ahhh!!! I called the hotel, they sent a van to pick me up, and graciously sorted out MY mistake. My reservation was changed and I was given a much nicer room for around the same price that I had booked my smaller room through Agoda. So, book through the hotel if you can! From the moment I called to the moment I left, the staff treated me like royalty. The rooms were superb! I recently stayed at a 5 star Hyatt in Seoul and wished that that room was like the Breath Hotel rooms! The bedrooms were spacious w/several amenities included. But, the bathrooms...OH MY. They were suites. A huge jetted tub, waterfall shower, sauna machine, water closet, sink area with a plethora of samples & amenities. I didn’t want to leave & can’t wait to return!!

I stayed there one night but it was great. It has a menu service so if you don't want to leave the guesthouse, you can ask for food or drinks inside, which I find very convenient. Taito was very kind and understanding when I had to leave my luggage an extra couple of hours. The location is great, very close to Katase-Enoshima station, which is for the trains that leave from Shinjuku, and a 10 min walk from Enoshima Station. Very close to the beach too, to Enoshima and it has a surfing school just around the corner. The room separates female from male with a curtain which some might find uncomfortable so keep that in mind, and there's two shower rooms which are in the first floor right next to the reception, which makes it a little uncomfortable. There's only one toilet in the room floor and another one in the basement. I do recommend this place for people who are going to explore Enoshima and around.

I arrived very late but informed the hotel in the morning, by the time I arrive there's no one but after I called them, their staff came rapidly. The private shower room is very comfortable, which the water is from a nearby hot spring. The temperature is just nice to make me sleep warmly in a cold day. Outside my room is a Japanese style garden, quiet and beautiful. The hotel prepared towel, tooth brush and Yukata, there are tea set in the room. The size of the room is just nice for one person, location also good to find. The owner of the hotel has a restaurant opposite it, I tried their dinner, which is fair and nice.

Really nice little guesthouse. Very close to the beach and the nearest rail station kugenuma-kaigan. The area itself is really nice and has a very beach town vibe. The house has a good kitchen, but the lounge area is perhaps a little small for everyone to make use of all the time. The room itself was cosy and cool, some interesting bed sheets (like two enormous towels) but they didn't effect our comfort. A little more expensive than hostels and guesthouses we've stayed at in other areas but appeared to be the cheapest in enoshima. Easy to get to kamakura from here.

Pros: 1. Nice house and facilities eg toilet, fridge, amenities 2. Friendly staff to introduce items in the house we can use 3. Real living exp in Japanese calm and peaceful env Cons: 1. Twin Bed Room is really small that cant really fit our suitcase. But the beds and view from outside are great! 2. Unclear direction from Koshigoe Station to Annex. Hope the host can provide a suggested route 3. No convenience store nearby (although it’s not our big problem), the closest one we walked for 30mins around But it’s a great exp to live in Kamakura this calm little town. Thank you!
