Buena opcion para visitar Tokio”
Buena opcion para hacer turismo en Tokio. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas pero estan limpias y son modernas. No esta cerca del metro si no de la parada Hamacho de Toi. Volveriamos a repetir
Good value for money and very nice”
Its a pretty spacious room considering standard hotel rooms in Japan. The bathroom is nice with fogless mirrors and a shower that can be used as a bath. Check in and check out can be done electronically, never go hungry with in-house vending machines and instant noodle sale in the front desk not to mention 5 minutes walk to any convenience stores and vending machines.
Excellent hotel, Close to Toei Subway”
Hotel was excellect, very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. It was also only a 10 mins walking distance to Toei Subway Station that connects to the JP line. Room was a bit smaller, but it's Japan so that was expected. The hotel should definitely be rated higher than 2.5 stars. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended. Would recommend.
Great location but small rooms”
We stayed here for 7 nights for our honeymoon. Very good location as it is nearby to Hamacho Station. But no wifi in rooms as stated. Only available at the lobby. Overall, we're happy with the stay there.
Great choice in Tokyo!”
The room is a bit small but it's ok according to Japanese standards. The impressive thing is that I never saw a bathroom and room that used the space as well as this one. WiFi is good, staff is nice, the neighborhood is quiet so it's nice to rest and it has blackout curtains, something that many hotels in Japan don't have. I am very satisfied with this hotel!!

Great budget hotel”
Only stayed one night, but everything was great. The room was on the smaller side witch wasn't reflected in the listing pictures, that's the only downside.
Thank you for staying with us here APA HOTEL NIHONBASHI HAMACHOEKI MINAMI and your review. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Sato/Receptionist
The rooms are small but well designed, with adequate facilities and they are good value. The location is in a reasonably quiet area (there is an expressway very close but the rooms are well sound-insulated) near the Sumida river and a park, fairly close to three metro stations and near to a variety of restaurants and shops. This is my second time there and it's a good example of a budget hotel.
Short stay layover near Tokyo Station”
Further from Tokyo Station than I thought (¥1200 - ¥1600 for a taxi ride). Toilet seat was dirty (brown splatter spots) upon arrival. Otherwise comfortable and good for a short six hour stay before catching the shinkansen in the morning.
Tiniest room ever and hard to find by walking”
The hotel has the tiniest room I have ever stayed in Tokyo. The hotel is located along the Sumida river. Giant anti-floor barriers separate the river and dry land. It is possible to run along the river although it is very cold. A small park (Hamacho) is nearby which had cherry flower trees in full bloom when I was there in late March. The hotel is difficult to find by walking and quite far from central Tokyo. The easiest way to reach the hotel by public transport is not to take the trains from Narita aiport. The best method is to take the airport bus to the Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT). There is a tourist office in T-CAT that can give a generic map of the area and directions. However the hotel is difficult to find by walking from T-CAT. It is easier to take the metro (Toei Shinjuku line stopping at Hamacho station) which require a line change-over from T-CAT which have different metro lines. The hotel has a small restaurant with breakfast. The cost of the breakfast is Y1200 for direct payment or Y1050 by buying vouchers from the reception.
The staffs are really helpful, extremely helpful I meant. Apart from helpful, they are friendly, polite and well-mannered. Despite being a budget hotel, they portray themselves as a luxury hotel in terms of services. Except the bell captain services, they did everything a luxurious hotel staffs did. You will definitely be impressed by how helpful they are.
Weekends stays are just more expensive”
Good location, very convenient. Near the train stations bus station and supermarkets. Booked last minute and on a weekend so it was quite a pinch. Other than that, nothing bad at all. Staff very friendly and helpful. Was a comfortable stay !
Good hotel in the heart of the city”
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly (though this seems to be a common trait in Japan) Needed a hotel during high season, all the regular lower priced hotels were fully booked and this was the next best thing. Very close to bus that takes you to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.
Impeccable quality, great location.”
I heard many times prior to arriving in Tokyo that the rooms would be tiny, and while in comparison they are, the room at the APA was well designed and spacious enough. The quality and cleanliness of the room certainly helped with the small space. The staff speak very little English but are very attentive and helpful if you are willing to use body language, or interpretive dance.
Nice room , nice room design and friendly staff”
The hotel is close to train station , hotel staff are friendly, price for this hotel is consider fair compare to other hotel in Tokyo , room is small but very comfortable and with all nice bathtub. Fast internet connection , nothing to complain about this hotel, I will stay to this hotel again
Softest bed in Japan.”
It was a pleasant and uneventful stay, I have no complaints. For newcomers to Japan the room might seem very small and it is for those of us who are use to more space, but it is the standard size room in this country. I would like to add, that the beds are not all comfortable. I was first given a typical hard Japanese bed, on the 6th floor, but decided to see if the staff could find extra blankets to put on top of the mattress. Instead they found another room - 8th floor - with the best bed I've slept in in Japan.
Great stay close to Tokyo station, ideally located”
Great experience the staff spoke mostly Japanese but they can figure out exactly what you need with a little work. The room was exceptionally nice with really fast Internet. Ideally located close to most popular attractions but tucked away for privacy.
Great location for a two week stay”
It was a great hotel for our needs, as there was a train station about five minutes walk away, so we had easy access to all of Tokyo. The area itself was somewhat residential so it was quiet and friendly and nice to come back to after a busy day exploring the city. The staff spoke enough English for us to be able to communicate easily, and the room service was excellent. The rooms were very small but more than enough for my partner and I, as we spent little time in it.
Always satisfied ”
apa hotels are good because you always know what you're getting, a super tiny room that is comfortable and always clean. i have stayed in many apa hotels and they are always modern and comfortable. i don't mind that they are super small after all this is tokyo. they are always within walking distance if not right outside the subway station. this one was in a really quiet neighborhood so it was boring at night. it's in the same subway line as shinjuku and shibuya which are two of my must visit areas whenever i'm in tokyo. it's hard not to be satisfied with this hotel because all of the important factors like charm, cleanliness and amazing hotel staff are in place.
Nice, pleasant hotel in a quaint part of the city”
we arrived early in tokyo because we had taken the nightbus from kyoto to tokyo. when we arrived, the check-in process was quick and easy and they held onto our bags until it was time to check-in. unfortunately, our room wasn't available at the check-in time so we had to wait about half an hour. they were very courteous and sorry about the wait. our room (just like most other rooms in japan i'm sure) was small - enough to fit the bed, a desk, and the bathroom (which was quite spacious and nice!) the room service staff was very respectful and cleaned up the room well. the internet (both in the room and the wifi in the lobby) was very fast and convenient for checking e-mail and searching for directions. the front desk was also helpful if you needed directions or help with transportation.
Good service but small rooms”
Good service by friendly staff. However, there is no restaurant nearby. It is hard to find food except from vending machine. A good location. Only five minutes are needed to walk from the nearest subway station to the hotel.
