Spoke little English but really...”

Hotel staff did not speak that much English but enough to get by and far far better than the nearest competition we visited They also tried really hard to answer our questions so tops marks Rooms ...
Rooms felt quite dated Shower didn&#39;t work that well Hotel does really need a makeover but then obviously the price would go up !

The place is really close to the downtown. Bed was comfortable, the whole place clean and AC is something you definitely want in summer Almaty.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Very clean and very quiet neighborhood. Close to a street but no street noise. Good hot breakfast. Good value.
Just one minor complaint: relatively poor sound insulation. You can hear people moving about, especially above you (building is old with parquet wood floors that creak). Luckily, it wasn&#39;t busy ...

Good location on quiet street not far from main attractions. Helpful staff.
The suite described as searing area was spoilt by poor design. The bathroom divided the space in two so there was no room for seating.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good location. Wifi also good.
It is a small hotel and I understand it is difficult to maintain a comprehensive breakfast. There could have been a broader selection of breads and good coffee. Not only instant coffee. Also, it would be good to store the food in cold in the morning. Now everything seems to be left on the table for two - three hours. The breakfast room lady was nice and friendly. She made good oatmeal and good omelettes. There was no hot water in the shower even tho I waited more than 5 minutes.

Clean and comfortable good sized room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location. Walking distance to the sights. I enjoyed my stay.
No bar in the hotel, but a good one just over the road.

Comfortable beds Good service at the reception a lot of choice at breakfast buffet, however still improbable (at least for European taste)
You could often smell smoke (due to the heating with coal I think)
