Más sobre Jersey City (NJ)
Sitting across the Hudson River from New York City, Jersey City is the state of New Jersey’s second largest city. It serves as an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers. Something of a little cousin to The Big Apple, Jersey City offers museums, parks, and convenient access to iconic sites. The city can be reached via the Newark Liberty International Airport.
Jersey City is split into several unique districts. The historic downtown features restored brownstones and the historic neighborhoods of Hamilton Park, Harsimus Cove, and Van Vorst Park. The waterfront is considered by the locals to be a part of the downtown area, but it is usually categorized as its own neighborhood due to its remarkable difference from the historic downtown. The Heights is where to be for excellent views of the Manhattan skyline and well-preserved Victorian mansions. Liberty State Park can be found in the district of the same name and is as large as New York’s Central Park, offering great views of Manhattan, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. More parks can be found in West Side, and the commercial heart of the city is nestled in Journal Square.
