The place is surprisingly big. Location is a bit hard to find at first as it is not along the road. But outside is the Robinson mall, and just a tricycle or jeep away from the Laoag city proper. Very Quite. Highly recommended! Staff are all very helpful and the reception is open 24/7.

Great Stay and Great Value for Money”

I am with my mom, my sister and my partner when we stayed here. I booked a room good for four. The hotel was clean, I just got annoyed by a cockroach that woke me up in the middle of the night. I told the staff about it and they were nice to offer an insect spray. But I think they should ensure more cleanliness the next time. It's still a good value for money. Will book again in the event that we would come back at Laoag. 😊

If you're looking for an affordable yet comfortable place to stay at during your trip to Ilocos, this is the place! The only con is that the roads leading to this nice hotel are too narrow, you might need some ninja driving skills. ;)

Great Value - Great Staff!”

I was pleasantly surprised by Farm Side Hotel, but was more appreciative of the staff, their helpfulness, and how accommodating they were. We got in early and the staff accommodated us and let us check in early. We were able to eat breakfast almost every day at the canteen and cold/hot water was available as needed. There were also toiletries available in the rooms and towels. The surroundings are kept very clean and if we needed a tricycle, security was very helpful in obtaining one for us. We also used the car/van services for a drop-off at the bus station and the price was very reasonable. Truly appreciate the help and services since we were in town for my Dad's funeral. Thank you so much for making our stay pleasant, easy, and affordable. Highly recommend!

Value for Money”

My group had a pleasant stay. Since we arrived very early, the staff allowed us to leave our baggage and just check in when we return from our Vigan tour, since we did not get a tour package and we were on our own. The following day was Pagudpud tour but this time we needed a van to rent. The hotel's service was already full but they volunteered they will try to find us one and contacted someone they know right away. The fee was the same if you get one from the hotel, which is fair, and the driver was very nice and helpful during our Pagudpud trip. The driver even volunteered to buy us bagnet and longanisa in the market for our pasalubong. McDonald's and Robinsons was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Since we don't have a service going to the bus station (i can't imagine travelling by tricycle or jeep with our baggage and pasalubong), we asked the hotel staff if they have a service that could take us to the bus station and thank goodness! they have, of course for a fair fee. For those travelling with limited budget, I would recommend Farm Side Hotel.

A not bad at all place to stay in Laoag!”

Especially if you're just looking for a place to sleep, this place was actually pretty good! The cheapest double bed room had a tv, a working aircon and towels. It was clean, I didn't see any bed bugs. The bathroom was pretty nice! There was hot water and even a hose. There's no complimentary shampoos, or soap though. Although you can easily buy them from the restaurant of the hotel. They have a restaurant but it closes at 6PM. So if you're hungry, you'll have to walk to McDonalds, which is around 400m away. The internet worked and I was able to do all my work. It was pretty decent. The location, being kinda smacked in the middle of Barangay 49, it looks like a hole in the wall at first, but actually it's not that far to McDonalds (400m) and Robinsons (800m) and the highway. although the street at night is poorly lit, and can be dark. So just walk fast! No complains about the staff - they were nice. It even felt like staying in your own house! Overall for the price, it was pretty good! I was able to work and sleep well. It did the job!

great hotel, super value for money”

It is great hotel, super nice and clean and quiet. very relaxing. The room is perfect and complete with all you need. Big enough for family and super value for money. The staffs were so accommodating and provided everything we needed.

Good location for site-seeing and mall shopping”

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise indeed: a diamond in the rough for such a far out place as Ilocos. It is a short 8 minute walk to the new Robinson's Mall in San Nicolas, which is also where you can pick up a bus, Jeepney or trike for going anywhere you may want in Ilocos. It also has s very friendly staff willing to help with anything you might want or need. All-in-all I recommend Farm House to anyone traveling north for vacation.

It was an okay experience ”

I like to emphasize the incident happen where in my friend accidentally locked himself inside the Comfort Room, when we check-in at the hotel into our rooms I already saw that the door knob of our room is kinda loose. I hope that they make action in this kind of problems to avoid inconvenience for the guest however considering other it was okay and quite place to be in Thanks I'll give this hotel 3 out of 5

Just so-so”

Good enough to spend the night after a tiring day. Location is not along the national road. You need to be good in maneuvering the steering wheel and calculating the space in order not to dent a wide car. :)

Just ok”

Stay was just ok. We just slept there and used it as our base for touring the numerous attractions. Stayed on the third floor of a hotel while I thought I was booking a duplex unit. Water pressure needs to be improved. A small writing table and chair would be nice additions to the room.

A nice place to stay”

The hotel is down some small streets but is well signposted. Walking to Robinsons mall only takes 5 mins or less and there are plenty of trycicles near the hotel The room we stayed in was nice, comfy bed. Wifi signal was received in the room, and V clean. Only issue was the bathroom fan was very loud when switched on so I'm guessing has some fault. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food, Overall a good place to stay and worth the price we paid.

Value because indeed it's very cheap if you only need a place to stay/sleep because most of our time we are outside exploring the Ilocos Region. Privacy because it's sooooo quiet, we felt like we're in our own home, this is located in a residential area but the people always welcomes us by Ilocano hospitality. Location because the hotel is not too far from a mall (Robinson's), from the city and all you need is just a walk away. You get what you've paid for, just a minor comment/suggestion to the management to fix/repair/replace/improve old toilet accessories such as faucet, leaking sink, and shower. Also, please improve the water pressure and foul smell in the toilet. Please improve also the WIFI connection, we are in the ground floor villa #6 and WIFI inside our room is very weak, we need to go outside just to have a fair connection. In general, Farm Side Hotel is awesome for its Value, Privacy and its Location. We truly enjoy our stay here and made our first Ilocandia Tour a memorable event of our marriage life. A FARM TASTE”

My three nights stay was way too quiet because I am always outdoor and just staying their for the night till 7am in the morning, which is the latest. But all of my queries and complaints had been attended so far. From the continuous running water from the sink's faucet, to the delivery of coffee and milk chocolate in the morning and tour inquiries. Although they have poor wifi connection. In general the place is always clean, they changed their bath towels, cleaned the bathroom and tidied the room everyday. Same is true outside the room. A true feeling of the farm where peace and serenity resides. Convenient because if you are a person who loves to walk it's a 50 meters away from the highway, and about 150 meters from the nearest mall, though there are available tricycles (three-wheeled vehicles) that you could ride on to. Reception is 24-hour open. The place is like two kilometers away from the airport. There are public buses available anytime at the highway for those planning to see Ilocos Sur. You will get value for money as compared to other pension rooms. Don't be deceived by the name "hotel", it is just a Filipino term for comparing the place outside the city as equivalent to a hotel. Overall if you are just a tourist and most probably will be always exploring outside, you could settle on this place for your things will surely be secured. Enjoy Ilocos stay!

very good stay with no hassels”

Had a very nice stay,every thing was good but there is short walk to main road of a couple of hundred meters.tricycles out front and cheap to city proper.There was no food available when we were there.

reasonable price, far from attractions and airport”

the room was okay with hot and cold water. but we had a hard time adjusting the temeperature of the water. location is far from attraction and 5 mins walk to the hoghway. it's a little bit dark at night from the highway to the hotel so i recommend to bring flashlight. the location is ideal for local people and people who are going to do their own tour plan since there are lots of transportation mode when reaching the high way. (bus, jeep and tryc)

Nothing spectacular”

Actually, it's less than a kilometer away from Robinson's mall. However, it's located in a street hidden from the main thoroughfare, which makes the place quiet, which i prefer. We stayed in a very affordable room, which is less than 1k php per night. Room is okay, nothing magnificent, but better than what i expected for the price. There is cable tv, functioning cold/hot shower. Cafeteria closes at 6pm. So you can't order food after that. But they would still serve coffee or milo (10 php). The only thing i find disturbing is the bad smell coming from the drainage. However, the smell is just subtle. Staff seems friendly. All in all it's a good enough hotel especially if you're just touring the area most of the time.

the hotel is a bit far from the airport. if you did not request transfers from the hotel you can take tricycles, which are major transportation in the city. fare is 150 pesos. if you're checking-in late, better eat out first because they don't offer room service. we arrived at the hotel around 8 in the evening. robinsons mall is walking distance from the hotel. room is ok. spacious and clean. there's a cabinet provided for baggages. there's cable tv. big bed and clean comfort room. far from the city but if you're going to vigan, you can just wait for buses on the road no need to go to the city.
