Vast old hotel with lots of facilities ”

The hotel is so vast. Although the hotel is well kept, it feels old and deserted. Maybe because there are only few guests when we booked yet its so huge. We were all alone in the beach. No lifeguard in view. The waves are huge. We saw some stray dogs which is a concern for safety. There are more people in the resort beside it making it less creepy. We also used the pool where lifeguards are available. They have an interesting clean mini zoo. Food is average.

All staff were very friendly and warm; location and facilities are nice. Check in was fast. Very good Chinese restaurant in the hotel. On the negative side, rooms and other facilities need upgrading including furnitures; outdated, old and dirty. TV was useless but I don’t mind it since we seldom stay in the room. Minibar was old and smelly. No iron and board, hairdryer, laundry bag, robes available in the room. I may not stay overnight in this hotel anymore due to poor rooms, but i would still like to commend all the staff for excellent customer service.

its old yet still iconic the property is well maintained, especially the pool area except for the bathroom, it needs to be updated/renovated too bad they stopped the free transfers to and from the city they just retained the free airport transfers. so if you are staying for business in this hotel, best to find a van that can take you around while you are in the area. there are no public transport available - its far from the center of the city - unless you came in by car and not by plane. great place to stay for a vacation with the family - the pool area is huge and there is a myriad of activities to choose from not only for the young children but also for the young at heart there's fishing, a driving range, atv's, firing range and water sports

The best hotel in the NORTH....u will surely enjoy it’s facilities from d swimming pool(s), beach, ktv bar, mini-zoo, restaurant(s), gym, & hoping that d casino will be re-opened to complete our relaxation. I will definitely go back for d 3rd time ...thumbs up for this hotel👍

I have been in this hotel about 15 years ago and I am amazed on how the hotel and the facilities were well maintained. The hotel staff are very helpful and courteous. I would be back again given the chance.

A place getting old but still with class”

This was our 4th stay at Fort Ilocandia, Although the hotel is showing some signs of age I still find it a place with some class. Fort Ilocandia is a bit ff the beaten track but I like the peace and quiet. The facilities are good but require some tlc. I am sure I will return Brian Windle South Australia

We of course had our problems like always but it was a great time. This hotel is wonderful. Not all of the entertainment offered on the site are available but if you are looking to relax Abe enjoy the great Philippine outdoors this will be a perfect destination.

Their rooms and courtyard looked so beautiful - like you were transported in Seville. The staff were accommodating! They even cooked my mom special dried fish just because she mentioned she was craving for it even though it wasn't in the buffet table. Wish I had more time to enjoy this hotel. One con is the location. It's a little far from the town and difficult to locate.

A 3.5 star hotel”

We booked 2 nights. We chose this hotel coz we thaught this is a 5star hotel of the north. But we were wrong. Upon arrival at the lobby it was a bit dark not so welcoming... staff were polite. We checked in but the staff said we were supposed to check in the day before.... hmmm there must be something wrong with there computer... anyway we were given a room as booked .. they said it was upgraded .. oh I don't think so because the room was smelly ( olD smell ) no carpet in the room... CR was old and not so clean NO BIDET IN THE Toilet which made our stay so uncomfortable! No complete amenities. Have to request for a robe .... additional towel for our kid they said( front desk) we have to pay 50php but good the the house keeper didn't made us pay coz it was for a child anyway .... he was polite and it was a plus point! Room was far far from the lobby. Pool and beach was so far unfortunately from the room they gave us... 😢.....a plus point was a quiet place for holyweek for you to be able to meditate.... Breakfast was average Enough for a 388php payment... btw the hallway going to the room was smelly... ( olD carpet smell) Please do improve your hotel. You've been known for good reputation... for now over all score 6out of 10 . 3.5 star hotel.. but there is still room for improvement to make it a 5 star hotel!🤭😃

The Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel is quite a serene place to stay a holiday in Ilocos. Its expansive quiet surroundings, solid buildings and interiors, quaint brick spanish architecture, clean grounds and beautiful gardens highlighted by bright bougenvillas provide a relaxing stay. The hotel itself provide a visitor with many photo opportunities because of its beautiful interior and exterior structures and garden areas. The room is clean though needed bathroom refurbishment which is quite outdated and old. The food at their Cafe Ilocandia is simple but filling and good. The staff we met at the restaurant are polite and served us well. Their swimming pool is good for a swim and a dip in the afternoon or early morning. it is clean though needs refurbishment or scrubbing because its quite old.

I loved my stay this time compared to 6 yrs ago when it was too crowded and busy. this time it was too quiet and as if I have the whole resort especially the beach all to myself and really just found myself roaming around the vast expanse of this stunningproperty . fort Ilocandia was well maintained, the garden was well manicured. Clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. facilities/ fixtures though are dated which I do not mind because it still functional.

Very nice resort plenty of things to do. Friendly staff, clean and nice restaurant d It's a bit remote for town and convenience stores and local transport is very limited. It's excellent if you have your own transportation

We were here for christmas visiting family but did not want to stay at the relatives houses, a bit sad there was nothing offered for christmas eve or christmas lunch. facilitieas was full but not in tip top condition anymore, still okay for the price. still our go to hotel when.in ilocos

Warm stay”

Picture and selfie perfect place, the beach looks not swimmable but there's an available pool. Food is expensive but big serving and worth to order within here because of the hotel location rather than going out, need to improve certain dish, like our room service order buffalo wings that is merely fried chicken wings. Club sandwich, Kare Kare, Fresh lumpia and included breakfast buffet superb! Need to open light at the entrance to the rooms, its too dark there. Children enjoyed the pool and tub :)

Luxurious Hotel to stay in the Province of Laoag Ilocos Norte”

The room we stayed in had a bath tub with heater. The room had a phone, an electric hot water heater for coffee or tea, a refrigerator, a safety deposit box and cable television. A terrace overlooking the swimming pool, the driving range and the beach. The package we got included buffet breakfast. There was a bread station, juice station, coffee / tea / water station. An egg station and the buffet spread which consisted of noodles, rice, fried fish, sausages, ham, cake, fruits etc... The property offered free shuttle on mondays, wednesdays and fridays from the hotel to robinsons mall in san nicolas, then to puregold in laoag city, then back to the hotel. This was four times a day from 12 noon onwards. Schedule available at the front desk. On other days, you can hire a van that can take you around. The only negative thing in staying in this property is that if you don't have a car, it is hard to get around. There are no tricycles nearby. The only option is to hire a private van on the days when there is no shuttle provided by the hotel. Or you can rent a van from the hotel. Of course its a but expensive. Also, you can ask the concierge for cheaper options ini hiring a van or smaller vehicle. The place itself with all its amenities is worth the money you're paying for. A beautiful historic hotel to lay back and relax. Excellent location for a vacation with the whole family. There is an olympic sized pool, a tiled floor pool and a children's pool. There are a lot of activities available. My son went fishing and he had the time of his life. We also went swimming. The beach is not conducive to swim at the time we went there because of the high tide. There was also a mini zoo. The casino is closed, hopefully they will consider opening it in the near future. It would have made our stay perfect. I am looking forward in returning to Fort Ilocandia soon. I had a very memorable and relaxing stay.

A Fort in the North”

a bit pricey but with all the facilities and services it has to offer, i guess it's worth it; quite far from the city center (about 20 mins drive) but near some of the city's points of interests; old but elegant and charming; staff is courteous but front office and room service are quite slow to act/respond.

Very much impressed with the shuttle service, not just from the Airport to Hotel, but they have daily shuttle service to the city proper. We did not spend a penny on transportation because the Hotel already provided for it. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet of different cuisines. The room was very spacious, especially for the deal we got from Agoda. There are several scenic spots in the place that the travellers could enjoy and have their picture taken. There is also an olympic-sized pool, that any swimmer, such as my husband could enjoy. Looking forward to going back with the whole family again.

My family enjoyed our stay at Fort Ilocandia. The place is really spacious and we consider it a one stop shop hotel, as they also offer various activities (i.e. Kayaking, beach volleyball, sand boarding, etc). Food is also good! We tried cafe ilocandia for the bagnet, poque poque, blue marlin sinigang. We also dined at Red 8 Asian, food did not fail but the crowd is quite noisy. But nonetheless, we really enjoyed the vacation! ⛄️Merry Christmas!🎄
