Perfect Place for Everybody.”
Huge Pool.Nice accommodatios.Garden maintenance is a must.
Old and Crowded ”
Disappointed with the place but at least had a good bonding time with my family. We have to wait for late night to swim because pool is too crowded since it is open for public, thou pool is big. They are not strict with proper swimming attire and no need to take a shower before going for a deep. And you will see boys played basketball and went straight to the pool after. They are under staff to maintain the whole place.
This is a place to escape to if you want solitude - there was only one other couple staying there when we were there. The rooms are basic, old and bare. No hot water, no staff available. I had to go and search for a staff member to get breakfast and nobody was there when we left. Maybe it was because it was a week day and I imagine that the place is busier at the weekend. The grounds are extensive and the pool looked nice for families with young children - there were 2 little ones in the pool. Overall impression is of a run down hotel that seriously needs some TLC to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The place is used for functions and business group team building. I wouldn't take my people there because of the quality of the accommodation, but I guess some organizations aren't to fussy.
It's my second stay here. It's usually very quiet and relaxed like a retreat but at times nearby parties can spoil this . A room away from the party location will minimise the noise. Staff are consistently nice .
Nice surroundings spoiled by noisy parties”
Sadly two noisy parties in four days blasting into my room to the early hours ruined my stay completely
Escape Sanctuary at a Very Competitive Price”
While we booked on Agoda very late in the evening, it was a relief that the staff welcomed us without any further a do. The room and bathroom are clean. Toilet amenities like tissue roll, soap, shampoo, towels must be requested as our room seem to have an empty toiletries but staff responded one by one on what else do you need, something that I think should have been prepared inside the room. Chef on call has a very limited time, so if you miss the time, you can drive to Walmart, before 9pm. We love the swimming pool, wide gardens and variety of plants around the hotel. Makes you forget about the busy city and invites you to just enjoy being away from home.
very bad resort”
Hacienda Darasa Garden Resort Hotel”
no food the restaurant is not working ”
Hard to find food need to go in the town.
solitary place to be with...but lacks presentation”
Its like an abandoned resort. Part of the resort itself were already closed, there are several units that needs repair.. probably got damaged by previous typhoons, the said basketball courts' boards were already torned, but still manageable to play with, team building area was totally shut (very big tower also closed, possibly its like a zip line machine) we weren't able to visit the other areas of the hacienda, - no restoration being done yet. We owned the resort for a night, cause it seems like there were no other guests but us. the pool were the ones that we enjoyed. 2 very big pools -well maintained. The room we stayed in were also a plus, very spacious and relaxing. For us total of 16. The airconditioning is a plus as well. If the resort will be restored.. ill give it 2.5 out of 5stars
Poor and expensive. Food service is poor
Pleasant nice gardens great pool and staff”
Second time there and enjoyed my stay. Has potential for Eco tourism if it developed the gardens organically.
Okay, the staff was accomodating.”
I would say the service offered and the rooms were suited to someone on the budget. It also helps that the hotel was near everything: the town proper, the bus we rode on going to Batangas dropped us off the hotel entrance. The staff accomodated a person with special needs.
It was a very quiet place. Almost scary.”
The room was ok until I saw that the window was broken. It was a big room hot and cold water are working fine.
Dated building and a location of no interest”
The Darasa was expensive for its condition and location. The room was not in good condition and the hotel is overall just approaching a 2 star hotel but that would definitely require some repairs first. The gardens themselves are nice enough and this a place to experience the real Philippines. However, it is not close enough to go with a small motorbike or tricycle to Taal Lake which was our original plan and there is nothing to do in Tanauan. If you want to see the local night-life go out before 8pm and be careful.
Wounderful, the Hotel, the Personal and Resort!”
Every time again.... enjoy the silence of this Resort!
great quiet place convenient to shopping by bus ”
My first review! It was very enjoyable especially if you are in the mood just to stay in the facility and be romantic. If you had younger children the 1/2 the swimming facility is designed for kids and families and the other for exercise competition and romantic at night (but not too risque) moonlight swimming as they are centralized near other rooms but still gives you a romantic feeling of finally being alone with the one you love. It was great for that alone! A matter it made an otherwise average and mundane stay one of the best I have ever experienced in my life! it was different from the beach because of seciurity at the gate and it's design you feel completely safe and no critters! If we had not been how should I say this-it was so romantic and unique that it was almost overwhelming except for the fact that being older I behaved. Seriously no kids around-and if you had kids the rooms were completely safe to leave them. Older kids will be bored silly there! Next to that the staff was friendly and helpful! The facilities were what we expected and food adequate not bad but not exceptional. We were not told but discovered a second roadside restauranryt just before we left more for Fiipino people than the Foreignor and his Filipino girlfriend which was a little annoying. There are two shopping sites within 20 minutes from the location by bus and because of nothing else to do ( can only stay in room and be romantic so long) we visited both.
A big Hacienda”
driving there was longer than i expected but thanks to the directions and map provided at their website we got without asking someone on the road. when we got there, i was just amazed at the simplicity of the hacienda as it gives serene and calm aura on our entire stay. checking in gives us no hassle and we were even escorted to our room by their courteous staff. the room was clean and spacious; one of the things that i notice as i monitored the whole room is the lack of toiletries (only a soap bar is provided), also our tv unit does not have a remote control. i didn't managed to ask for some help on the staff since i plan not to use the tv either. jumping to my food review, their complimentary breakfast was neatly prepared but as a picky eater i think their choices of breakfast was to narrow. i would recommend this hotel to those finding peace and serenity and wanted to be out of the city even just for the weekend.
great location but small rooms, nature tripping”
great location but small rooms, the place is good, nature tripping, but kin da scary because theres no other people booked when we stayed on the resort
Good but not great”
It's a quick getaway from Manila, great for team building activities but not exactly for small families. The restaurant has limited items to choose from. Good thing Puregold is merely 5 minutes away from the resort. The room is alright but could do better with a phone or intercom so that we don't have to go down to the reception everytime we need something. The pool needs cleaning.
