Excellent location and great service”
We stayed with a group of 7 business friends. We had a great stay. The lady at the reception was very helpful. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast was excellent. There was a breakfast manager who asked each table avery day about their findings! I hope to visit this hotel again!
The hotel located on a quite street of Mala Strana，walking distance to most sightseeing spots，The staffs is very good，always welcome you with smiles and willing to answer your questions ，The room size is good with kitchenette， but the room and furnitures are very old，needed renovate，If you are driving， hotel have 2 reserved parking outside ， they charge eu15 per day. But the other parking on the street are free, and you have to try your luck.
Very nice and quiet hotel near everything!”
This hotel is a great place to stay during a visit to Prague. It's in a very nice accessible location but out of the hubabaloo of the tourist districts. It's on a very quiet street, but still near restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation. In fact, the #9 tram stop is only 1.5 blocks from the front door of the hotel. The #9 take you right through the heart of the city. It's only less than 15 minutes to walk to Charles Bridge, one the centers of attraction in the city. If you're up for it, a walk from the hotel to St. Vitus Cathedral, the symbol of the city, will be an unforgettable experience. Breakfast was very good the rooms are large and airy. The internet was fine and the showers were nice and hot. The staff was friendly and very helpful and spoke English very well. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would certainly stay here again if ever in Prague.
traveled with my friend, and decided on this hotel due to decent reviews. small boutique hotel with good location, near tram station, about 25mins by taxi from airport, and walking distance to charles bridge. hotel room is spacious, but because lights were all automated, can be a little eerie at night, especially when we are girls. breakfast spread is decent, and hotel staff generally friendly and helpful.
A classic hotel with excellent service”
hotel is located at malá strana, the best location for tourist in praha. 2 minutes to closest tram stop, or just 10 minutes walk to the famous charles bridge. the staffs are friendly, perfect in english, and very helpful in providing informations. wifi is ok (good connection, but intermittently disappeared), and there is a free internet terminal for guests. the hotes itself looks classic. unique.
nice hotel but rude staff”
pros....location and big room cons.....female staff very rude, booked a tour and paid the necessary deposit 3 days in advance and on the morning g of the tour (same day) at about 1am we were informed that tour cancelled, and mind u we were informed only at the very last minute however they do have a male staff who is a russian (if I'm not mistaken) and he is awesome and very helpful and polite nonetheless mind u that the showers are very small and there's a malfunction in its construction but then again the female (tall) staff would never agree and even said that it's only a 3 star, if u want u could stay at Hilton where there are bigger showers. moreover we were even threatened to have to pay if the water from the shower leaks to the floor below....I mean HELLO isn't that a clear sign of a foulty shower room
near the tram and river, breakfast buffet was good”
Staff speak little English, but were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Rooms seemed to be quite old, including the décor and walls. had a different expectation from the photos I saw on the hotel website, but perhaps those are for the more expensive rooms. location is within 10 -15 min walk to old town and Charles bridge, hotel is located in a quieter neighbourhood.
Hotel is slightly aged nevertheless it is still clean. It is also very close to public transportation which connects you to the city. It is also walking distance to Charles bridge and Prague castle. It deserves my recommendation.
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Residence Mala Strana in September 2014 and had a satisfactory stay. We were not wowed by the hotel, but it had everything we needed including a hearty breakfast with good strong coffee, and the location was ideal for us as we prefer to be very close to but not in the center of the major tourist area. Overall the hotel is nothing special but we were happy to stay there as we booked only 2 weeks in advance and paid a very reasonable price.
Greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. the room is old, bed is not the most comfortable, but the hotel is clean and centrally located. it is spacious, and for the price i paid, i really have nothing much to complain about. Hotel is very close to Charles bridge and everything is pretty much walking distance. Prague on it's own is a beautiful city. you get a 10% discount card to the restaurant nearby which have pretty decent food.
excellent value for money and good location”
the hotel is located very close to the Ujezd tram stop, around 3 mins walking distance. Very near to other tourist areas too. Surrounding areas has good restaurants. Breakfast is standard like other European hotels. Had asked for a late checkout and it was done for a very nominal fee. Overall, a very good hotel with great staff and excellent value for the money and location. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Prague is beautiful; you don't need a 5 star hotel”
We didn't spend much time in our room; we were in Prague to see the city. Hotel staff helped us to book an excellent full-day tour and accommodated all our needs. The small suite had a kitchenette which we did not use as there was a simple buffet breakfast and we ate out for the other two meals. I noticed that there were no plates or cutlery, but perhaps they would have provided that upon request. The place was very clean and bright, and completely quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much, but if you're looking for something fancy, look elsewhere.
spacious suite suitable for the family”
The junior suite is spacious for the 2 of us. Kitchenette was useful because we can boil hot water to drink in the cold weather. Hotel was near to the shopping areas. Just 10mins of walking and we were there. However, the heaters in the room were not sufficient to warm up the living room due to room size. The water running from the hot tap was yellowish at first, but cleared after letting the water run for a long while. Perhaps the pipes need some cleaning and maintenance?
Value for money”
This hotel is 10 minutes walking distance from Charles Bridge. The staff is helpful and breakfast is good. Though this is a slightly old hotel but they have maintained it well and house keeping is also quick and good.
Satisfied, Reccomend to others”
Location is good, just few steps to tram and not far from Charles bridge, 24 hrs reception and the staffs are friendly and helpful, Wifi signal covers into the room. Breakfast is nice, many selections. Overall we are quite happy with this hotel.
Great hotel, great location”
The hotel is in easy walking distance of the old town, has large rooms with cooking facilities at a reasonable price. A generous buffet breakfast is included in the price and the staff at the front desk were helpful. The only minor criticism is that you need to ask for cooking utensils, and no cleaning materials are provided if you want to cook a meal or two for yourselves. Wifi internet access is provided free, but the signal was pretty marginal in our room.
Convenient and comfortable hotel”
a good hotel near mala strana (new town) area. worth the price. the staffs are very helpful and speak english. rooms are a little bit old but comfort. the location is near the tram station or can be walk to the major attraction place within 10 minutes.
a lovely hotel with good location ”
the hotel room is very very comfortable and spacious. The only thing to pay attention might be there is no self-service laundry nearby like in Paris. Therefore, you are advised to use the service by the hotel. The room is also new and everything is so delightful
GReat location and friendly staff”
THe hotel lies in a quiet area of Prague but is still within waling distance of the center and the old town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, it had one bedroom, a bathroom and a big living room with a convertible sofa and a kitchenette. Furniture looks a bit old but the rooms are clean. The breakfast is great too! One bad thing is the fact that you get a kitchenette but it's just useless since all the kitchenware you have is plates, fork, knifes and glasses. How are you supposed to cook without even a pan? Except from this,we had a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel. Really good value for money!
