Agradable ”

Quiet surroundings but near places of interests”
First timers in Rome, and a bit wary of our hotel choice (a bit expensive maybe because of the canonization of the two popes). As soon as we located the hotel (very near the Lepanto station of Rome Metro), check-in process was a bit fast and the lady front desk gave us tips of our must-see and must-do in Rome. When we saw our room, we were very much satisfied with our hotel choice. There was a skylight, a dining table and a fabulous bathroom. The bed was also nice to sleep in. Fabio, one of the room service crew, was very helpful and acceded to our requests ie power adapter, corkscrew and a lot more. Hotel was situated in a very quiet neighborhood and that's a big plus to us and the hotel breakfast was also great. Hotel interiors were meticulously done. Overall, it's a stay that satisfied our needs.
Clean and Well designed hotel”
It was an overall nice hotel because the location is rather out from the city. This hotel would be best if you often go to the Vatican city. THe rooom is small, but standard for european standards, but very clean and full of amenities. The surrounding is quiet so you can open the window without being too noisy. The hotel has some design to it, but I would say the theme of the design is rather too dark
Sleek Design and Comfortable”
I had a night's stay in this nice hotel. Bed is comfortable but it was 2 single beds join into 1, wasn't much problem though. Warm enough for winter. No water jug to make coffee/tea. Bathroom is clean. Staffs are freindly and fast check-in. Breakfast is nice and adequate. No signboard, hotel name is on their glass doors, so print the location map and ask around once you alighted from Lepanto Station.
New boutique hotel in central location”
a fantastic hotel which is centrally located in close proximity to the vatican in a quiet business area of rome. the rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. the hotel is next to a metro station which makes all rome's attractions and sights easily accessible. the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. the hotel also serves a very good breakfast. overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay!
Love the stay!”
It was our Second stay in the hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful! They never failed to assist us in any help that we needed. The hotel in within 5 mins from the metro! The room was comfortable and clean! The breakfast buffet options were good! And the food tasted great too! I would definitely return to this hotel again the next time i visit Rome! Thank you everyone at Hotel Metropolis for the great experience!
Great stay! ”
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They were ever ready to help us and made our stay even more pleasant. We took the room with the jacuzzi. It was very spacious and the jacuzzi worked perfectly. It's nice to take a dip in the jacuzzi after walking around Rome. The breakfast was good too! There were a variety of options for us! The metro is 5 min walk away from the hotel! And it is one stop away from Vatican City. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and would recommend this hotel, especially the room with the jacuzzi.
pleasant stay”
We had a great stay. I don't think the jacuzzi worked though but it didnt bother us that much. Staff were pleasant and it was within a short walking distance to the Vatican, and the subway station. Would stay again
Cute, but limited facilities ”
The overall stay was nice, but the room had no windows. Only a ceiling windows. No way to regulate the cooling, so had to spend the night with noise from outside to try and cool the room. Staff was very helpful.
Metropole Hotel Excellent Stay”
The Metropole Hotel was truly a wonderful hotel. Staff was excellent, rooms large and modern, cleanliness throughout, central location near subway, bus and streetcar, excellent breakfast, and free internet.
Fantastic”
Great! Was my second stay .... This time I had a friend with me and we were looked after beautifully. The ladies and gents on reception were extremely polite and courteous. Our room was clean and quiet. Would definitely stay thee again and recommend it.
Great!”
Great.... I stayed one night originally and then came back to Rome for 5 nights at Hotel Metropolis. Great location, close to metro and within comfortable walking distance of The Vatican and major shopping areas. Room was clean and tidy and the staff, without exception, were all polite and helpful.
Chic new boutique hotel for comfortable stays”
We found Hotel Metropolis exactly as described by other travellers - new, clean, chic boutique hotel with complimentary high speed internet. The staff were friendly, attentive and spoke enough English. The location of the hotel was very near to the red-line subway and one can walk to Vatican which is about 15 mins away. The only quirk we have would probably be the size of the room, which was on the smaller end, but most hotel rooms in Rome, at least the ones we have stayed at have not been very big.
best stay in Rome”
My stay was good, a place close to public transportation, 5 minutes walk, with easy parking in case you'd like to rent a car, quite place. In case you're a religious person it is close to the vatican, since it is in the vatican city. There's is a small shopping street near by in case you'd like to shop without moving too much. ;) and a shop of italian typical products called Castroni tactical hotel!!
Great location, friendly staff. ”
Hotel is well positioned, more fringe of the CBD than Darling Harbour but that gives you easy access to both. Easy drive in from the airport or by rail if you wish. The staff were friendly from the valet parking at arrival to check in and housekeeping. We needed an upgrade and a late checkout and nothing was too much trouble. Awesome room with adjacent lounge area with a great view over Darling Harbour. Room can be darkened to allow us to sleep off jet lag - brilliant!! The breakfast served in the executive lounge was also one of the better hotel breakfasts I have had. Bathroom was clean and tidy, spacious and well appointed. A shower head that dumps water all over you - another brilliant thing. Staff were happy to accommodate our needs with some work that needed to be done. Spoil yourself and go for the upgrade which was really good. The only down side was the noise from renovations going own but when we were in our room that was blocked out.
Nice Hotel In Great Location”
The hotel's location is fantastic as you can hop on the A line one block away if you do not like walking. If you enjoy walking, it is easy to get to the center. This is my favorite neighborhoods in Rome and I have lived in Rome and still live in Italy. It is an upscale neighborhood and has great shopping. Love it! Hotel and reception were very nice. They were comfortable rooms for European standards. The only negative thing is that the rugs were a light color so you can see marks easily. However, if you travel a lot you know that this is the case in any hotel room you just can not see it as well because the rugs are usually dark. :-) Happy Rome adventures!!!
Hotel with skylight”
Overall, everything is as expected. Nothing is missing but nothing particularly good as well. Breakfast is OK and the cappuccino is the one thing that's better than expected. Hotel is close to Vatican but still a bit far from the rest of the spots e.g.- Trevi & etc. One thing I like about the room is the electrical skylight which is very nice when the sky is clear with breeze coming in during the autumn. One thing about the hotel is the staff. The staff isn't exactly friendly and helpful when comparing to Asian hotels (Maybe it's an italian thing?). Anyway, I've asked them to help me book a restaurant & taxi and they seemed to be annoyed for some reason. With nothing else to do, they tried to call for me but didn't insist further after the line is busy. For the taxi, they didn't even call to my room when it had arrived!
nice hotel but bad location”
I really loved the hotel .. The room was great and big .. I like the services and the breakfast was nice .. But I don't like the location .. The hotel is far from the intersting area but the overall I like the hotel and I could give it 8/10
