Quaint home away from home”
Lovely rustic ambiance that evoked a feeling of nostalgia. Wasn't that far from Session Road (less than 10 mins?), but taxi was hard to come by from 7 PM-5 AM. Kind and accommodating staff (yes, they let you leave your bags with them if you arrive before check-in). Clean and spacious room with beds that DON'T feel gross like some hotels/B&Bs. CR was an issue: sink and bidet were leaking so there's always minimal flooding on the bathroom floor every time we used them. The wifi connection on the second floor was also off for some devices (worked sometimes on Samsung, but Apple and Oppo couldn't connect. I used my data our entire stay there). Breakfast was really great though. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay at Old Orangewood and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Homey, value for money accoms”
Pro: Very homey and the staff catered to all my needs Con: I was assigned to the Pulag room which is too high up to get wifi signal. You may find it quite far from the center but I've been to Baguio several times already so it's okay.
The place had a very nice ambiance away from the city. However, their amenities should be maintained properly or updated. Room cabinets were a bit old and rest rooms cupboards and mirror should be changed.
Not recommended for foreigners - local nationals may still like it.”
When I arrived at this hotel, I imagined something like a folksy mountain lodge. That isn't what it is. The two things nice things it has are the location is 15 minutes walk from the main market and the breakfast with excellent coffee are a great value but it stops there IMO. The room we had is a two Star at best with bathroom being one Star. It was the only one on the main road which has jeepneys and traffic running 24 hours a day, a car cleaning service across the street with vacuum running as early as 5 a.m. and barking dogs on and off all day in the side and rear. For 500 pesos more a night I would rather stay ANYWHERE! I've have live in the Philippines 18. I've stayed in many mid price and this one isn't for me. I think many locals nationals would not be bothered by the things that bothered us but I suspect most international travelers or expats would opt to spend more and give this place a pass. I won't be returning or recommending it to anyone.
Homey and Warm”
From checking in to checking out I enjoyed my stay there. The staff are very friendly and accomodating (i was the only one not because I am very shy) But they provided everything I needed. I love the coffee and the food. The place I stayed in is at the attic. It was lead by a wooden spiral staircase which to me is a haven to recharge, reflect and heal. It actually feels much like home. I would definitely come back.
Enjoyed our stay!”
Everything had been a breeze during our stay here. The staff are so courteous and friendly, they know their guests by heart. 🙂 The place really gave us the feel of having a vacation at the City of Pines. It was very spacious and children-friendly. The management really took their time in planning for a superb B&B establishment. Will definitely stay here for our next trip in Baguio. 🙂
The Best Sleep we've had”
It was an amazing bed and breakfast! the room was spacious and their amenities outside the room were the best. They have the best living area/lobby with a fireplace for crying out loud! it was very home-y also. The breakfast was really good also although maybe they could change the coffee to brewed instead of instant next time. :) bonus is the restaurant across the street from this BnB. Their food was very delicious and affordable plus they have the coziest interiors, too. :) The location of this property is very accessible also and relatively quiet for a busy place like Baguio. We will definitely come back within the year on our next visit
Very homy and good value for money”
We booked the room with twin beds and the area is good enough to move around and place your things hassle-free. Breakfast is also very satisfactory with many options. Receptionist is 24 hours and also has mini store in case you will be needing mid night snacks :) Location is quite far from the center but nevertheless not a concern for those laid back traveller like us :) Most importantly, bathroom has functioning water heater! :) In summary, the place is highly recommendable and a good value for money.
The place is nice. I noticed that they are very receptive to reviews. So the last reviews I read about not having tv, and not enough room light, instant coffee was served etc were not there anymore. Now there was tv, a lamp inside the room, and overflowing brewed coffee. Breakfast choices were great too! The double bed was too firm for me though. So, that could be improved. Still, all in all the accommodation was great!
Great value for money”
The cleanliness of this quaint little place is what struck me most...
The room was super cute, the hotel has a great feeling. The common areas, the living room and the cafe are cosy. The staff is great and helpful Highly recommend it!!!
Worth coming back again”
Staff are courteous and attentive to guest needs
Welcoming and Homey”
Staff are courteous and professional. They are willing to help with all the inquiries. Check in is efficient. The hotel gives a homey and welcoming feel. Rooms are nicely decorated with free toiletries and exceeded our expectations. We will be come back
An accommodation worth every centavo”
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Orangewood Inn. The staff members are friendly and accommodating. They also answered all our questions on getting to different places we would like to visit. They also allowed us to use their utensils when we brought food back to our hotel. We also have free breakfast that is very tasty! I also liked how we have a fancy restaurant in front of us. Old Orangewood is also "Instagrammable". In case you enjoy taking pictures, you will enjoy posing at the different spots for your feed. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who goes to Baguio. I will definitely book with them again if I will be visiting Baguio. If there is one thing I would like to be added, that would be a television since there is nothing much to do in the inn. Thank you, Old Orangewood, for making our stay in Baguio and comfortable one!
they accommodated our late check in at 3am. the room was nice and cozy, but with just the basic amenities. towel, soap and tissue were provided. bathroom was a bit old. our room was right next to a school which we can see when we look out the window. the reception area is very cozy with a fireplace. not to mention their alfresco, kind of like a backyard that they made use of, was filled with wooden chairs for chillin out with friends while having coffee. the coffee shop in their restaurant looks decent. its a quaint little place with a very reasonable price. before i forget, they have ample parking space right upfront.
The Old wood design of the place gives you that real Baguio vibe”
The place is perfect in giving you the atmosphere that you're really in Baguio because of its all wood design and the fireplace is really nice. The staff are nice as well and the play room under the stairs makes my niece happy. If i will only nitpick for them to improve is their breakfast hope they use rice made for fried rice :) but over all the breakfast is good. Will definitely recommend this 👍
Nice Bed & Breakfast place”
If there is 1 thing we love about this b&b place it's the fire place. Our youngest boy roasted marshmallows while my husband was having coffee. We were far from home but we felt like we were in our home. Breakfast was good most especially the longanisa & daing na bangus. Try their coffee. Php140 pesos for a brewed coffee that's better than Starbucks or Coffee Bean. The staff were freindly & they made sure they make me & family feel comfortable. The location, we love too. Not chaotic. Make friends with other guests. So when you get home, you do not only bring pasalubong but also good memories with new friends.
Thank you for a very heart warming review! We love that you felt at home, this is exactly what we wanted the place to feel like for you and the other guests. Your wonderful review will help us in so many ways. Happy Holidays to you, Ma'am Rosena and family. We wish to welcome you home again at the Old Orangewood B&B. Best Regards, The Old Orangewood B&B family
Very courteous and acconodating staff and the place is very dainty, all corners are instagramable.”
