Good location & staff...recommended”
Within 10 mins walk to shopping area ( Dapuqiao station), fast food joints, n supermarket ( century mart) Spacious room: 2 bedrooms Access to swimming pool. Nail shop, Massage, Gym within the hotel Cons: staff not fluent in english
Great business and it does not break your bank ”
I love my stay in Rayfont Celebrity Hotel & Apartment, it was about 5- 8 mins walk away from the transit train and opposite was a great massage place with friendly staffs. The room heater was great, the room and toilet was clean. I will be booking this place again
we stayed at this hotel one night. the hotel itself is very nice, the price corresponds to the quality. the design is nice-looking and the staff are helpful. the subway is pretty far though-about 15 minutes walk, but nearby there are lots of shops and restaurants which are open up until late in the night.
Very Nice Affordable Hotel”
quick check in of course thanks to agoda. hotel easy to locate since is close to a major road. subway stations and restaurants nearby. massage center very nice and affordable prices with professional staff. easy parking in case you have a car. friendly staff. room very comfortable. internet slow and have to be paid.
My wife and I have had a nice stay at the hotel. The charges in comparison to the condition of the hotel and its location is really worth the money. I will definitely recommend my friend to check out this hotel when they decide to travel to Shanghai.
A good value for the hotel”
During my stayed, i really enjoyed it despite of taking time to warm up my room during winter...A good location as easy accessible to 24/7 shops, restaurants, banks...Taxi is easy to get and the room is clean and kind of contemporary...The gym facilities are just OK...It also provides a good service upon requesting
The hotel is good situated. Near the metro station and some little shops. But the room was just awful, it was dirty, things were broken and it was very outdated. When we complained to the staff we got another room. But that was not better. The toilet did not flushed ! We got so fed up that we contacted Agoda en booked another hotel and moved out ! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone !!!
A great place to stay and very friendly staff. They need to improve their English for foreign visitors. The internet connection is not very stable and TV screen quality poor reception Battery of the dead in the control unit.
Budget hotel which nothing fancy that was close to metro.”
Hotel was budget which is obvious by the price. We had 2 bed apart. Beds were hard but found that this seems to be the norm after staying at a few hotels in China Close to metro which was great. Staff at desk happy to help when asked and if they couldnt speak english they would grab another who could. Our rooms were made each day and any requests we had the staff delt with straight away. Room was a little run down but for price i wouldnt expect anything else. All up great location to metro with plenty of eateries and food shops within walkin distance.
Clean, strategic location ”
Walking distance to train station. They clean the apartment unit everyday
Good for those who one to be on a good location and use the hotel for sleeping only”
Front desk support team very good on customer service and fluent English speakers
An apartment building with location I needed”
Good value for money. It is clean and comfortable. Close to TianZifang and shopping mall where you can find a western grocery store and restaurants. Don't expect a hotel, it's in a apartment compound-but gives you an interesting perspective on living in Shanghai.
Spacious room, walking distance to subway station.”
Room size is big, but staff is not very friendly. Facing too much problems during our stay, staff not willing to help us to carry our luggage when they see us having difficulty. Was told that anything damage during our luggage safe-keep, the hotel is not responsible for it. And lastly, toilet choke but the plumber take very long to come and service it. Not a very pleasant stay!
i dont know why this hotel has 4 stars. its like 2 or one. the room was the most terrible under a construction , smell like a really hell I got nose breeded from that and also really small and neighbor was a chinese mafia it was noisy and scary , if u wanna appriciate your life u will if u saw this things. it was terrible smell and dirty place and surroundings..
Old style apartment alike hotel”
Old style apartment style hotel, big room n enough space, reception cannot communicate in English well, not close to subway station, when check out the hotel staff called very tricky taxi for us to send to pudong airport, we were cheated by that taxi driver lots of money fees by giving us fake bank notes return to us, hotel staff who called that taxi for us neglected responsibility!!!
Comfort bedroom , toilet was extremely dirty n smelly, the toilet's drain cover near toilet's bowl was filled with dirt like never wash before, every toilet corner were dusty like never clean at all n mould all over shower area -walls , floor n anti slip mat, housekeeping staffs very unfriendly, they forgot to replace tea bag after make up room, we called for replacement , when the staff arrived at our door n handed over the items, my mum said thank q to her in Chinese n she just ignored n walked away...so rude!
Not enough information!”
Firstly I am very disappointed with the un-updated information to me about the hotel changing location. I arrived in Shanghai on 1AM, and I took a cab to go to the hotel which should be located on 1077 xietu road. When I came to the hotel, the staff told us to go to the hotel on zhaojiabang road. Me and my family were fully exhausted to walk for another 2 blocks in the middle of the night, and finnally we stayed in rayfront zhaojiabang road for 3 nights. Later on we planned to take tour to other cities around Shanghai and will back to rayfront for having the other 2 nights stay. And when I came back to the zhaojiabang road, they told me that this wasn't my hotel. My hotel should be on xietu road, which is the hotel that I came on the first time.. I was full of anger because there is no information they told me, and once again we had to take a walk for blocks which I thought I arrived at my "right" hotel. This is all confusing to me and my family, because until now i don't know the reason why they put me on the different hotel on my first stay. It would be delightful if they can tell me the reason by sending me an explanation email or message. Looking forward to it. But anyway, it is still a good place to stay despite of the "uninformed" drama
DO NOT EVER COME HERE, NO MATTER HOW CHEAP”
where to start. Okay, the hotel condition itself is not too good, the room is a little bit old, some furniture is not in a good condition, I don't think it should be rated as 4 star, but its acceptable to stay. However, at our last night before leaving Shanghai (our flight is on 6.30 AM, so we have to leave very early), we would like to ask the front office to cancel our credit card (used for deposit), since we didn't use anything from the room. This is where it all begin. The front office said we used the internet in room (which is not free), and charged us 250 YUAN for it. We said we didn't use the internet. All I did is I tried to connect to the internet using LAN cable (thought its free), but as soon as the login screen in my laptop asked for password, I didn't continue (I don't have the password though). We asked the front office to check it with the IT department, but he said they are not in the office since its already late. Asked him to call the manager, but he said the manager is busy and can't be contacted. Finally his true motive unfolded. He said he's willing to help us, he will reduce the fee to 150 YUAN (and it has to be cash to him), and said "its cheaper than paying 250 YUAN". We ended up paying 250 YUAN, since it was better to pay to the hotel than to the front office. And the worst of it, the staff yelled at us very hard when checking our room for the "false internet charge". My advice is don't stay in this hotel, I was charged with false internet charge, who knows what will they charge you. Rude staff and bad room condition is tolerable.
