Extremely comforting stay ”
Right from the entrance to the time of checkout the stay was amazing. The decor of the hotel, the staff's warm and friendly attitude and the location of the hotel made it a memorable vacation fro me and my family. The kids pool was good, the gym was decent, the spa is very cheaply priced and good, the breakfast was sumptuous, the staff very friendly and the proximity to everything made it a place worth recommending to others
Me and my wife were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and we decided to stay at the O Hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The grounds were maintained well and the rear of the hotel backed onto the beach. We booked a package which included breakfast and an evening meal. The only negative was that we did not have the evening meal as their was not a large variety on offer. We ate out every evening. I would recommend this hotel and i would stay here again. Good location but NOT five star ”
Very near to beach. But it is 2-3 star hotel. Hence I felt rates are higher
Hotel is too good & the staff is very friendly and caring. Please add some more variety in breakfast buffet.......... it’s by and large same everyday.
Don't Expect a Five Star Experience”
Our stay was nice enough, but should I go again, I would look at one of the bigger, five star, chains just down the road, as this hotel is clearly not deserving of it's five star status. Although the 'Resort' is in a good location, backing onto Candolim beach; and has spacious rooms, many fixtures in the bathroom were broken and two lights in the room didn't function, making it dark and oppressive (instead of having a relaxing holiday in, we tried to stay out as much as possible it was that depressing!) The air-conditioner is centrally controlled, meaning the room was at at chilly 21 degrees; making coming back, the beach or a walk in the monsoon very unpleasant. There is was no mini bar, the room-service menu was disapointing and the Gym is little more than re-purposed guest room with a few dumbbells and a treadmill (no towels, water or extras as you'd expect from a five star), Breakfast buffet was of inferior quality and little choice, and when I asked for a cup of coffee later in the day at Kitsch, I was told they only served tea! Complete Disappointment!
Good experience ”
Hotel staff was really good at the time of entry but on day of check out they were too busy to serve in the same way. Infrastructure wise the hotel is very goo only thing which can be improved is walk to the beach is too tiring as beyond pool there is sand where some tiles could be put for ease of walking. Overall a good experience
We really enjoyed our stay at the O hotel. It is an all around a good hotel. They have improved it a lot since a last stay a few years ago. Still not 5 star but I would rate it 4 for sure. The room is a good size with a work table with morning coffee set up and even a little balcony. The shower was in the tub which was a bit inconvenient but it was a rain shower & worked well. There is no free WI Fi in the hotel. Not even in the bar or lobby area. We used the free Wifi in the many shacks around. Seems a bit shortsighted since they would definitely benefit from more people hanging around and ordering drinks & such instead of going else where to do some work. The pool area is a bit dead & kinda small though they have a bar & snacks available which is nice. It would be fun it they had a Yoga class outdoors by the pool in the morning..they certainly have the room. The entrance is a bit odd since most of it is given to the Casino which is in the front of the hotel. You enter thru a side narrow security space & then get driven in a golf cart along the side to reception in the middle of the hotel.
Relaxing luxury experience.”
Simply superb and relaxing the best ever. Only wish that even after making a request for extending the check-out time since we checked-in late and informed the same at the time of booking. Was futile...apart from that it was a wonderful stay...
Nice location, Bad Breakfast buffet ”
The hotel room & view & access to beach was nice. There is just one restaurant which doesn't serve half the things on the menu. Breakfast buffet was a nightmare with houseflies everywhere & less place & too many people. Food was very average. Dinner time, food too highly priced for the quality. SPA was overly priced & had a HUGE amount of tax added to it too.
Good Value for Money”
Good hotel at a good price. Very helpful friendly staff that let us check in at 6 am with no extra charge. Little bit of ware and tare in the room but overall very pleased cause other five star hotels were nearly double the price.
It was a pleasant stay . we really enjoyed it”
the stay was very comfortable , i would love to go there every time i visit goa . the staff was trained well , the spa was good with best of amenities in the gym. over all it was a good experience staying there,
Great holiday hotel, close to the beach”
we had a great christmas at o resort, the hotel is situated in pleasant grounds with private entrance to the beach, where there is a great beach shack. the pool was nice and the hotel was accessible to nearby restaurants. rooms were a decenct size with good showers in those on the ground floor. not much difference between standard and delux rooms, so better off going for standard - i could hardly tell the difference other than the price(stayed in both). the breakfast was tasty with plenty of options from the hot and cold buffet and eggs cooked to order. we did not eat in the hotel restaurants, and it did not seem that many other people did either. prices at the bar were rather expensive, but staff were friendly. wireless internet was available, but at an extra charge.
Good hotel having direct access to beach”
overall experience was very good at the hotel. this is relatively new property (<2 yrs) located less than 500 mts from taj aguada. it has direct access to candolim beach, which is a big plus. the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. however, there were very few recreational activities available apart from the swimming pool and spa. overall rating: value for money.
Nice stylish boutique hotel for a romantic get-awa”
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. It's a midsize hotel with approximately 80 rooms, all directly located along an outdoor gallery / courtyard. The location is superb, with a backyard directly connected to the Goa beach. There is also a swimming pool in the backyard, and an outdoor restaurant on the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious. The decoration was in Goan style, but with all the necessities for a luxurious hotel. Unfortunately we didn't have a view on the beach or courtyard, but just a view on the adjacent buildings. But this is fine, because in Goa you won't spend a lot of time in your room... A negative remark is the noisiness of the rooms. We could clearly hear the television of the room next door, and also at night when people walked by our door we could hear them. The breakfast was ok, not very special, some continental items, and some traditional Indian food. There is a lot of staff and they are very friendly, but we had to remind them a few times for bringing the tea we ordered.
This was lovely hotel and it was a great location”
We had a great stay at this hotel. It was a nice hotel very close to the beach - just 5 minutes away. The location was absolutely gorgeous. There was a beautiful shack called Calamari right next to the beach and it had some of the best food we had in Goa. The hotel rooms were nice and spacious. The pool was great. It was a great hotel from my perspective. There were a few disadvantages. The breakfast buffet was not that great. There were many guests with kids and that meant it was not as peaceful as we wanted it to be. There were also some guests that were occasionally loud but the hotel staff were not aggressive enough to tell them to be quiet. The hotel had a spa which was quite expensive and we took a massage there but the quality of the service was not good. Overall, I really liked the hotel despite the disadvantages. If I go again, I would definitely think of going back to this hotel.
Excellent hotel and REAL value for money”
We had a fantastic stay, spent our anniversary here, the hotel has a private beach, the rooms are amazing and really up to the standard. The hotel staff is extremely nice and polite, the hotel is so close to baga and etc. Right outside the hotel, there is a wine shop and you can even hire bikes / cars from there. Lovely place and we will definitely visit it again!
A beautiful hotel, helpful receptionists.”
We stayed 3 nights in O Resort and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hotel check in staff were extremely helpful and smiley. The room was out standing. Beautiful shower although the water runs inside the bathroom from the gap in glass door. There is alternatively nice bath tube available. Big comfortable bed, nice TV. It is located on the beach, but the pool is very small. They got a big garden space which makes the pool lost in the area. The decoration of the hotel, loby etc. was beauiful. Brekafast and restaurant staff were poor. If you are big Indian food lover, you will enjoy the breakfast but unfortunately there is not much option for western breakfast. The last day, hotel reception allowed us to check out and continue to use the hotel facilities during the day. If one day we decide to go to Goa again, we will definitely stay in O Resort again.
Bumpy start, but had a nice vacation here”
We had a great time at this hotel, but there were a few things that really annoyed us. First of all, though very nice, I would not really classify this as a 5 star hotel. We paid $129 through agoda, and I think that was a very fair price. To start off with, the hotel has an awesome decor and I loved the styling of it. Very modern and chic but in a laid back inviting way. It is also brand new, which is always good. A very friendly chatty guy met us at the airport and took us back to the hotel (about a 1 hr drive). Upon a arrival they scurry you off to your room in a golf cart. The room was a standard size and very nice looking. Flat screen TV, big bathtub, modern furnishings, big fancy shower with rainwater feature. However, we had a LOT of issues with this first room. Right on checking in, they couldn't get the power to work and it took 10 minutes of us standing outside with our luggage for them to fix it. The A/C didn't work properly the first night and we sweated all night long. The shower didn't drain properly so there was an inch of water in the whole bathroom. The shower didn't work properly, fridge didn't work, etc. All of these issues cropped up again and again over 3 days. I think we had to call 3 or 4 times about each of these things. They didn't have another room to offer us, and I wasn't really that pleased with how unconcerned they were at how many problems we were facing. The food in the restaurant is pricey, but that is what you expect in a nice hotel. The breakfast is included and very nice. The hotel seemed very empty for being full, and I really don't see how they are going to stay in business. They only have about 80 rooms and hte restaurant was never full at all. I don't even think the Japanese restaurant was open for business at all. Not sure how well thought out this place is. They put so much money into the decorations and restaurants, but just don't see how this concept will work out in the long run. Anyhow, I think
Expect location everything else is horrible.”
In a place like Goa, where u can't survive without a rented bike or a car, this hotel doesn't allow to park it inside the hotel as they want you to hire taxis from their hotel. The house keeping staff is of no use as after they clean the rooms you have to ask them to clean the room again in front of u so that they actually do their work properly. Breakfast is very low quality. Everyday you get South Indian and toast. Air conditioner are very old and you cannot sleep without fans .
