This time just satisfactory....
It wasn't my first time in the hotel, and even it was fine in the past (and that means one month ago), I can't say it about this time as I stayed in room VIP2. Firstly, after arriving to the room I was shocked by the blanket. The blanket was tattered, and had various wholes and triangles. I went down to reception, and this was changed immediately - however, to provide such a blanket to a guest should be a no go for any hotel - even for those with no stars. Secondly, the safe deposit box. Nice to have one, but this box was not mounted to the furniture, or wall. And since such hotel room deposit boxes are small and lightweight, they can be easily carried away. Not mounted - means no safety. Furthermore the third digit of the deposit box display did not work. So you need to be careful while inserting a code. (If you code was 12345, than only 12 45 is displayed). The box needs definitely repair. Water pressure: ok for the shower, but not existing for the wash basin. I found also no possibility to switch of the lights in the bathroom during night, and the light control unit did also not work as expected this time. E. g. the master switch was not working at all. Lights in the bathroom have not been very bright, which is making shaving a challenge.

Good location
This hotel is in the very good location in HCM. There are many restaurants around the hotel. Price of the room was also reasonable. From the pictures it looks very new but essentially room was kind of old and bed sheets etc were also old. Room was big enough and had bath tub. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast needs an improvement but value for money.

Somewhere to stay
Free WiFi. Limited TV channels in the rooms. The rooms/bathrooms were clean although the shower curtains smelled and were stained with mildew; and the white towels were a bit on the grey side. The walls are thin. Not much of a view from our tiny Superior room windows. The staircase was always blocked by the housekeeping trolley and room items. The free breakfast that was included in the room rate was not appetising, luckily there were many options outside of the hotel to choose from. The staff were not particularly friendly but they were helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel in three years and it wasn't as nice as I had remembered.

Smelly Lobby
The lobby needs a spruce. It is not very sightly for guests to be welcomed by brooms or mops that are tucked somewhere at the lobby cafe. There is a musty smell in the lobby and its worst in the lift that goes up to the room. On the bright side, the room is quite nice and comfortable.
