They advertise a rooftop lounge, but if it rains, it's not open. There is no other place in the hotel to have drinks (beer / cocktails). The location is very good. Right next to the light-rail. My stay would have been better if it wasn't raining.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic location. Couldn't be happier with our stay. Was initially hesitant because of the low price but the staff was very kind and the price definitely was not indicative of the stay quality. Was very clean and nice.

It's a very convenient place which you can take the train to many place. The hotel provides the night snack , it's very yummy and really represented Taiwan. The staff are very polite and helpful, really appreciate it.

Clean hotel”

Clean room. Clean hotel. that’s all what we need. We came around 20:00 and leave in the morning. It’s raining during check out ,so we did not see around pier 2 art disctrict. Booked harbourview quadruple room, but not as in the picture that straight facing the harbour. It’s on our right side. only partially harbour view. We hire a private tour for travelling around taiwan,so location is not a problem. There is a good japanese chinese style restaurant a few blocks away near a bridge. Will be back again

Very comfy hotel with two queen size bed for just two of us! Room very big n comfy n clean. Location just exactly in front of the pier 2 art centre and LRT just exactly beside hotel too. Nearly hotel have alot of nicely foods too. Even we didn't include breakfast for the hotel booking but they are very nice give us free buffet supper everyday. Thumb up! Will stay again !

Harbour view in a quiet neighbourhood ”

Right at the center of Pier 2 Arts zone, it is very convenient for travellers who can spend whole day exploring arts and activities at Pier 2. Far from city center so it is not recommendable if your activities are mainly in town.

Good location and value for money”

You can have the good view of the harbor from balcony is excellent and facility the hotel provided is very good in this price range. The station for the newly built ( now in test-run) light rail tram train is just in the front of hotel. The art centers are also in the walking distance. The only setback in this hotel is breakfast room is too crowded and some visitors need to line up to get seat in breakfast room.

room is big, i pay HK$50 extra per night and got an executive suite and thus have a big terrace. love that the washing sink is outside the bathroom and make a two girls' daily cleaning procedures effective!

City Suite Kaohsiung Chenai offers extremely spacious rooms with modern furnishings and well-stocked amenities in each room. Toilets were spacious and clean, plenty of area to store multiple luggages, and also a big open balcony for enjoying the harbour view. Only gripe with the hotel was its distance from the MRT exit. Requires about 8 minutes of walking from the MRT exit, and if you're visiting on a hot summer season like me, 8min under the sun is enough make you sweat buckets under the scorching sun.

Value more than money ! worth”

Hotel location is just infront the Pier-2 Art Center, nice !. Walking distance @650m from Yan Chen pu MRT. Beside hotel have public bicycle station, i just scan my credit card and then return at MRT station, take abt 5minutes only, very convenience. Beside hotel also have 24hours mini market (OK mart), i can buy drink and snack before return to room. Hotel staff is very kidness and helpfull. I will return to stay again !

I loved it, 10 mins walk from the Yan Cheng KMRT station, Pier 2 Art Center is just outside the hotel which is suitable for photo taking or a walk along the pier to enjoy the sea breeze. OK Cafe convience store is also located just outside the hotel which offers snacks and drinks. The room for 4 comes with 2 Queen bed, clean toilet and rain shower/bathtub.

Great stay”

Let's start with the good things. The location was alright - once you knew how, it was a 10 min walk to the mrt station. Secondly, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The place was clean. TV channels were all in mandarin (except about 10 out of 100) but I could understand so it wasn't a problem. It was also very close to some tourist attractions - the art district is just across the road, the love river and xiziwzan bay within walking distance (1hr). The cafes n the art district are probably one of the better ones in Kaohsiung yet not too expensive. For the negatives, I didn't like the food at the hotel at all. It tries very hard to cook some dishes which were international, but it just failed very badly. I tried not just the breakfast, but also the dinner buffet. Only those which were supposed to be chinese food (or needed little/no preparation) were of reasonable standard. I feel they should hire cooks who actually know what those foreign food tasted like or just stick to what they know, which is chinese food. Unfortunately, there was only one convenience store next to it and no other food available within 5min walking distance in the early morning. There were some cafes in the art district but they don't open too early and were not very casual dining places. I only managed to find one open before 10am by walking straight out for 5 min or so which sold porridge with side dishes(highly recommended as it tasted of good homecooked meals). All other places only opened after 1030am. The other thing is the lack of pedestrian ways immediately around the hotel itself, which forced everyone to walk on the road itself. For tourists who may be unfamiliar with Kaohsiung's rather inventive ideas about how to drive may find it a little hazardous, especially with young children.

Sky parking for SRV/Van car is preferred. Need to park at public parking near by. Breakfast end at 9:30 is considered early than other hotels. Food choice is less as it is 4 stars hotel. Hotel tissue paper quality is not good. Baby bath tub can offer by request. Overall it is good value hotel with hardware but little improvement need to software

City Suite Kaohsiung Chenai”

1) Room - Clean & big 2) Internet - fast 3) Pillow - too soft, can improve 4) bathroom - Clean & Big 5) breakfast - Huge varieties but similar everyday. should change frequently. 6) bike - should provide free bike for guest like other similar hotel chains in KHH. 7) public bus is accessible easily. However is around 800m to the nearest underground station, hotel should consider provide free shuttle like every 15 minutes.

Modern hotel with big rooms”

We are a family of 12 people. We like the hotel very much. The reception staff even helped us to pay for our parcel which was delivered to the reception desk one day earlier than our check-in date. Excellent customer service! The only drawback is that the lifts are really too dark! We almost can't see each other's face inside the lift! The same for those dark corridors outside the rooms. We strongly recommend the hotel management to our no lights inside the lifts and at the lift entrance of each floor.

Comfortable and clean hotel”

It was really a nice stay at city suite, I like the location as it is in the Pier 2 art district and a 15 mins drive to the city centre. The room is clean and comfortable, the bath room facilities is well equipped with separated toilet and shower room w a bathtub. For the weekday rate it is really cheap! As this is a hotel that cater to large tour group, breakfast can be very crowded.
