There is a strict check in time of 2pm as the reception is not staffed. You can stay at the common area / leave your luggage there if you are not travelling by car. The lodge is clean and organised, and is just 3 mins walking distance to the town centre.

The unit was spotless and the bed super comfy. Right in the town centre near great cafes and the Razza. If you need a bed for 1 or 2 nights this is a great place to stay for the price.

We booked an ensuite but would recommend to use the shared bathroom comes with bathtub. Check in and out was easy. Wash basin is in the room instead of toilet. Nevertheless the affordable price justify the stay.

Good for a short stay”
The motel is located in the centre of Twizel, a 2 min walk can get you to supermarket and cafe, so the location is very good if you plan to get to Lake Pukaki or Lake Tekapo the next day. The facility there is a bit old but is good enough for a short stay. Twizel is a small town so you can’t expect too much.
