Muy bueno”

We only had one night here as our previous accommodation in the city was fully booked. Upon arrival the member of staff who assisted was lovely. The room was a good size, the air con was cold and the WiFi worked well. The building itself had a terrible smell and the room also smelt bad. The bedding didn’t seem too fresh either and had a dribble stain on the pillow. The hostel feels like a European hostel full of westerners and no Asian tourists, if that’s not your thing.

Best hostel in Seoul for solo travellers!!!”

This hostel has another branch just 2 minutes away, and every single night people from both hostels gather and drink soju together! After that they go out to a famous spot where locals and expats like to hang out, so you can meet lots of new people :) I came for 2 nights and ended up staying a week. The location is perfect, the rooms are quiet and convenient, the social atmosphere is great. Every single staff member that I met was kind and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend the Lazy Fox anytime!

Guesthouse is located in a back alley way of the residential area near Hongdae. I was first greeted by one of the staffs, Hoon. He was a very friendly guy and we had some nice little conversations! The guesthouse has a very homey feeling! My room was a mixed dormitory style room with really big lockers that could fit a 45L bag! Outlets are on every beds. Don't forget your Korean plug adapters! Free breakfast between 8-10:30, which consisted of some toast, cereal and milk, and juice. On one floor the shower and toilet are combined, so if it's occupied you'll have to wait or probably use the other floor's. Showers were very clean and so was the guesthouse itself. Free towels! Location is great for people going out to clubing, bars, and exploring rest of Hongdae! Originally booked for one night but ended up booking for one more day! Recommended!

Great place with friendly staff ”

5 minute walk from hapjeong Station. Beds were clean and comfortable with plenty of toilets. Breakfast of toast, cereal and juice provided. Curtains with private plugs for each bed. The best part about this hostel is just the general cozy and homey atmosphere of it though. Jinny and the rest of the staff were really friendly. Great place to meet people.

Good for Seoul”

A lot of Seoul hostels tend to be party hostels and therefore quite terrible. This one seemed a lot quieter. It wasn't luxurious but it was good for the price... a good solid Seoul option.

Budget option for Solo Traveler”

Walking distance from Hapjeong station and you won't get lost since they do provide directions on how to get there via email. The staff is what makes this guesthouse one of the best in Seoul.

family vibe”

this hostel has a family vibe and the staff are so friendly and warm. close walk from the subway station and the mall. we stayed at the 4-bed mixed dorm at the ground floor and it was a comfortable room. my only concern is that the bed is quite small but generally fine for a hostel quality. will surely stay in this hostel given a chance.

Feel like staying with friends and family”

This place is within a few minutes walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2. You get the feeling like you are staying with your friends and family since they will welcome you and give you suggestions on you can further improve your itinerary for the day. Only 1 shower/toilet per floor though so you may have to check on other floors in case the one on your floor is not available.

Great hostel ”

Staff were super accommodating and lovely. Glad to help with your itinerary, very social and outgoing. The place was super clean, and the lockers were really big unlike most hostels. Would definitely stay again!

Thoroughly recommended!!”

The Lazy Fox Den has everything one hopes from a good hostel, including good WiFi, comfy beds and a great well-connected location - you even have toast and cereal for breakfast. However what makes this hostel truly stand out is the staff. Every single one of them is super friendly, helpful and great fun to hang out with in and out of the hostel! This makes the Lazy Fox Den (and I suspect the sister hostel round the corner) a no brainer!

The volunteer staffs were very friendly and everyone that stayed there were easy to talk to as well. Sunny was also very friendly and welcoming. I was there earlier than check-in time and also needed to leave my luggage there til after my check-out but there was no problem with it. It's one cozy guesthouse, if anyone have an adjustable plan it might be great to try and hang out with others! Sadly I had a fixed plan and stayed for only 3 days, if I have a chance I would visit again! :)

Perfect hostel for solo travelers ”

The location is quite convenient as it is only one mtr stop from Hongdae, the hostel is also very clean and tidy, I especially like the bed that is so soft and comfortable!!! I could hardly leave my bed haha~ The most fabulous place of this hostel is the staff. They are just so nice that make me feel like home and travelling with my friends rather than on my own as we share our experience in Seoul. This hostel is just awesome!

Place to stay in Seoul”

Nice and relaxing hostel in Seoul...planed to stay two nights, ending up staying for a week. Saying everything. Nice and helpful staff. Good facilities. Close to subway and restaurants/7-Eleven. When I would visit Seoul again, I would check-in here again.

Hongdae Getaway”

Went there on my solo trip to Seoul and decided to stay at the party area near HongYik University. Arrived there and it was raining. Was greeted by a part-time staff and saw a few young ppl at the lounge area. Didn't really have the hostel feel to it and I then went to a 4-bed room. Luckily I had the bottom bunk because to climb up and down would have been a pain. No privacy at all except for when I drew the curtains. I wanted to clean my clothes but found out that there were specially allocated times (something like 10am to 4pm) to do that. This is ridiculous as travelers would go out during that time. Who wants to be stuck in the hostel during laundry during that time? At least let us wash our clothes a little earlier or even during dinner time (if you are worried about the noise). Overall, a good cheap place to rest after partying but it was a strange feeling to stay there. It wasn't hostel vibe enough and certainly not a nice hotel. It's like in a weird category on its own.

Nice Cozy Place, Just Right for the budget!”

It is a 3-5 minute walk to the subway station where you will find convenient stores, food stalls and shopping items. Friendy staff Hun speaks English fluently and can help you with the information will need during your stay. Not sure but I only saw one bath in our floor but I did not encounter queueing/waiting time. the place is clean but can still be improved. It is a nice cozy place just right for your budget.

Aceptable”

The location is close to subway, and the staffs are nice, but there's still room to improve. Although it's a little bit over my budget, I still chose this hostel because it has tv in the single room. BUT it seems like the staff doesn't know the tv is not working, and it has not been fixed during my whole stay. The manager did promise that he will call for maintenance , but can't guarantee when it can be fixed....so until the day I left, it's still not fixed. Other than that, there's only one bathroom in each floor, so be prepare to wait for vacancy. And the cleanliness is strongly recommended to improve. In addition, the room's insulation is kinda bad, I could even hear the snoring from the next room, lol.

the worst guest house ”

I reserved and stay the single room with TV and a bed. I was very looking forward to watching MAMA in my room at the night. But the TV didnt work and I asked the stuff about it, but they didnt come to fix the TV and no apology for me... Also, the house's smell is the worst, I really hard to get in the house and go out from my room. I will never use this rude guest house and also not recommend here for people who think o use this house. 家の中は下水のような異臭でとても臭い、テレビ付きのシングルルームにして夜見たい番組を自分の部屋で見ながらご飯を食べたかったので、わざわざこの部屋にしたのに、テレビが壊れていたのかつかなくて、スタッフに問い合わせても対応無し、返金もなければ、謝罪もない。あり得ないですね。金輪際使いたくないですし、利用しようとしてる方にはお勧めしません。

Bossy Jinny is so hot!”

I had a blast on my birthday week in Lazy Fox Den. The atmosphere was great, location is nearby the station, street performance, a chicken and beer place, and convenience store, and the bed was comfy. The staffs are really accommodating specially Bossy Jinny. She's really hot! Haha. Much love from the Philippines. <3
