Book a triple sharing room. In Japanese standard, the room is and toilet is big and spacious., especially the toilet. It houses a bathtub, a separate overhead shower area, just like space used for pre shower in onsen. Only strange is when leaving the hotel for outdoor sightseeing, has to return the key. Not sure why, but guess for security reasons, though no name on key tag. Eateries around after 7.30 pm seems a bit deserted and so unfortunate the nearest one 100m opposite the hotel is under renovation.

The best hotel I have ever stayed at!”

This is quite literally one of the nicest hotels I ever spent the night at. The rooms are GIGANTIC! You get your own bath and shower room. The beds are also some of the biggest I've ever seen in Japan. I was in a group so we had 2 rooms and one of them came equipped with a sauna! It was a very luxurious feeling, especially considering the more-than-reasonable prices. I would definitely stay here again.

Interior was so much different from exterior”

We enjoyed our stay in this uniquely design room and one of our members even had a huge room with sauna. The lobby decoration was beautiful and conducive environment for seating in contrast with the exterior which was unkept. Free laundry with purchased soap liquid at 50 yen and dryer at 100 yen. Free udon noodle for supper at own service.

We checked in at around 8pm, and asked the reception staff (a girl) to help us book a restaurant for dinner. She made funny faces and sound like we were giving her a lot of trouble and asking for some unrrasonable requests. This is the first time we've experienced such unfriendly reception in Japan. Besides, the room is old, the bathroom has a weird smell, it's big though.

Excellent Hotel”

Provide buckwheat noodles, udon and sweetmeats randomly in the lobby that make you feel like home. Breakfast is really delicious and delicate! Good location / big room & shower space / clean.. Highly recommend if you visit Obihiro!

Big and spacious room (triple sharing). ”

The English speaking receptionist is very helpful. But the room which we stayed in has an unpleasant odor, which I think comes from the rows of slippers provided for clients. It’s good to look into this.

Great hotel”

Hotel room (25 sq m) is the biggest I ever stayed in Japan. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Free wifi in the room. Room had good amenities, fridge, water boiler, tea, etc. Bathroom was spacious, onsen-style, where one sits on the stool with a bucket, shower head, shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo. Only negative is the double bed was small, given such a big room. Staff could hardly speak English, but managed to inform us about breakfast, the need to return hotel key whenever we leave the hotel, etc. Nice and friendly too. There was a free coffee corner at lobby. Breakfast was included, buffet style, many choices. Great breakfast I had. Overall a pleasant one night stay. Recommended to stay here.

i like this free udon supper service as not easy to go out to get supper during winter time. we did not eat it because already fulled.

Awful do not stay here”

Obihiro has limited options. We knew this would be budget but the smart reception does not reflect the ugly, uncomfortable rooms. The bathroom are like something out of a torture movie and there's no way to relax in those 'saunas'. Unhelpful staff, unwelcoming atmosphere. 2 nights was 48 hours too long. No idea where the good reviews are coming from.

The hotel is quite comfortable, the nice mattress, room space is quite big, come with limitation free parking for first come first server, lucky I manage to found a free parking thru all the days I stayed at the hotel.
