El STAFF es sin duda lo mejor, la ubicación paradisiaca... Si tiene algún punto negativo es que las comidas a mediodía son menos espectaculares que las cenas. Un 10/10.

Amazing!”

What a gem. Our stay was absolutely perfect. We spent 4 nights out of 14 nights in Mauritius. We stayed 6 different places in total but agreed that if we should ever return to Mauritius, we would definitely come back to Lakaz Chamarel and spend even more days there. The location was great. It felt secluded, but still you could bike around or take the shuttle to the beach. The suite was beautiful, so was the view from it. Everyone was so friendly. We really felt taken care of. The place is surely driven by passionate and dedicated owners and staff. You will not regret booking this place!

A fantastic place to stay, wonderful staff and overall ambience!”

This was an exceptional hotel, very well run, great facilities and wonderful staff. The lodge style rooms and main lodge itself were clean and interestingly decorated, very stylish. The hotel food was delightful as was the focus on eco tourism. The highlights were the sunset viewing deck with drinks and the private pool we had. The only downside was that our private pool was too cold to swim in during June as it is the Mauritian winter.

We loved our stay in Lakaz Chamarel. The hotel is so peaceful and well laid out - and our room with a private pool had spectacular views over the jungle. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful! A truly memorable few days and we would definitely recommend.

Exceeded our expectations”

The setting and grounds were absolutely stunning. Our room was equally well presented. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and their relaxed nature put us at ease. The food was good and varied each day, although the choice in the half-board menu could have been better (2 choices for each starter; main; dessert). They do a free shuttle to the beach, and have bikes available for use, meaning you can get to the 7 Coloured Earths and the Chamarel Rum Factory without too much issue. Would recommend hiring a car, or taxi, if you want to go further afield, such as walking in the Black River Gorges NP.

Only problem was the food, especially the set meals in the evenings, insipid, repetitive (usually ended with soup starter and ice cream dessert with main course that really disappointed)

Wonderful remote location ”

Pros- beautiful location with wonderful hikes and interesting sites to visit in the local area of Chamarel. Cons- more hiking trails and possibly guides would make it a better experience

Luxury in a lush green oasis”

Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge is eco-luxury at its best. The grounds, staff and food were top notch. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed the rather secluded location. The only improvement would be that the circulation in our room could have been better as a couple of nights the air was very heavy, even with the ceiling fan. Also, make sure you bring plenty of mosquito repellent!

It is an ideal place to regain your sense of peace. A little more information on the bird life would be nice. There was just one member of staff who could have been more welcoming when we arrived but otherwise everyone is very helpful and friendly. The wifi was intermittent and didn't work in the room so just go knowing this. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. Thank you Laka Chamarel for a wonderful few days.

Amazing honeymoon”

We came here for the first half of our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail and attentiveness of every single member of staff was outstanding. We were greeted by name by the manager at each evening meal (and he was often present at lunch and breakfast too). The food here is incredible, although if you are a really fussy eater - it might not suit you so much. We were very well looked after and found the facilities, location and whole experience to be overwhelmingly amazing. We had the best time and nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you so much to all at Lakaz Chamarel!

Eco-lodge type place up in the hills. A but far from things but lovely surroundings and fantastic meals. Service was caring and impeccable.

It was a nature park more than a hotel . I recommend the ocean view suit , it has the best view of the montain .

Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff and very relaxing place to be - especially if you want something different to the big resorts. Food is pleasant without being outstanding, prices are reasonable for a high end resort. Sea view suites definitely worth it for the view!

Almost like a private villa”

The entire stay you hardly see any one except at breakfast and dinner you will realise there are others staying. Perfect for honeymoon. The view from the view point is definitely recommended for the lovely sun set. The breakfast is simply amazing however the dinner was nearly as good. Try the cycle ride in the area, and remember to carry your own water!

A great stay for holiday and would come back again”

Half board dinner is good, especially when there is not much palces for food in the near neighbor. The food quality is generally good. We loved the starters and deserts, but not so empresses by the main courses. A good choice is seafood, not the chicken. The cleaner always choose the time we are not in the room to do cleaning, twice a day. We haven't met the cleaner during our stay. We met other customers only during breakfast and dinner time.

Stunning location, impeccable service.”

Lakaz is stunning, a tropical paradise in the mountains. A real hidden gem. The staff are incredible, warren the manager leads by example and ensures personal service. It's small and a world away from the giant all inclusives you find all over the island. The food is exceptional, there is a good quality wine list and compared to other resorts we visited the prices are fair. The price of beer is a good marker! Lakaz's beer is half the price of the beer at other hotels. There are bugs, you are at one with nature and that means random wildlife encounters at every turn. If you don't want to share your breakfast with an inquisitive sparrow or your shower with a gekko then this is not the place for you! The rooms are well equipped with outdoor showers - a great idea but less useful when it rains!

Nice and quit stay, but no value for money to us”

Looking back at our stay we have mixed feelings. We had a wonderful time, really enjoyed the quitness and the green surroundings. However we were not impressed with the food offered. All bookings come with half-board and you may opt-in for full board for approx. 65 euro p/couple. The lunch felt to us as a bare minimum. Our first day we got a small Indian rice dish with sausages and the second day a tiny ham salad. These two lunched were a huge dissappiointment and of low quality. The portions are not big, even though we are used to small portions. The lunch on our third, fourth and fith day however were of good quality (although still small). We were surprised by the difference in service. E.g.: sometimes we were offered bread with lunch, sometimes not. Sometimes we got butter with the bread, sometimes not. And: lunch being served without telling the guests what's on the lunch menu for today. Also watched: mistakes made with the food for another guest who had dietery restrictions. The mistakes were made repetively to this lady. Diner was of better quality. Every evening a choice of two starters and two mains and a desert. But also: small portions.  The massages where of high quality, I would definitely recommand the massages.  Yoga however was not on a daily basis, but upon request only. And since the yoga lady is also the one doing the spa and massages, it can be difficult to book a spot. Service was always given with a smile, but sometimes seem to lack experience. Taking a long time to get a morning tea. Ants on bread during breakfast. We noticed a huge inconsistancy, which, when improved, would definitely benefit the guest experience in this resort. Wifi was available in the room, ok, but not very fast. Available in the bar, but not in the restaurant, which can be a deliberate choice, but we never managed to discover if this was the case. We can see potential in this beautiful resort when there's a bit more attention for the customer service and food.
