excellent place to stay”
The location of this hotel is perfect!!! close to everything, me and my parents walked from our hotel to Church of good shepperd. the view is amazing!!!! Snow capped mountains, stunning lake. the room is clean, decent size for 3 adults.

Wonderfully clean with a large bathroom. Efficient and comfortable without frills. Lovely view of the lake sitting in the front porch. Quiet and perfectly situated in Tekapo village. Completely happy with the booking and our stay in Tekapo.

Nice stay”
Though the name is motel but it's more like a hotel. We booked a suite on the ground floor and it had good amount of space for three of us. Room was clean and facilities were adequate. Location is super convenient.

Location is right in centre. Very friendly welcome by the owner. Rooms were well equipped and clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend this hotel. To other travellers.

Accommodation dated but very clean”
We booked and paid for Accommodation for 5 online. Turned up and new Manager said they decided to not sell that room for 5 people anymore. Then proceeded to say that we had to pay for the 5th bed even though we paid for it. She banged on her desk with her fists and said "I don't have time for this" We didn't pay AGAIN for the 5th bed after much discussion. Great accommodation, central, big enough room. Would recommend but if booking for more than for I would suggest to contact direct.

Rude Staff”
Friends visited our room while waiting for their hotel to be ready to check-in. The staff scolded us and asked my friends to leave the Motel immediately in a very rude attitude.

SUCKED but clean”
We got the "Suite with Lake View" , however, there was construction right outside our window and therefore, NO LAKE VIEW AT ALL. If there was a way to upload photos, let me know and I will! Please keep note; all labels should be updated as MOST OF THE ROOMS NOW DO NOT HAVE A LAKE VIEW due to construction of another lodging place right in front of the motel, between the motel and the lake! Instead of this location, and for the view of construction scenery, we would have booked something a bit further up a hill that would have been cheaper by around ~$100 cheaper, with a better NON CONSTRUCTION view, though it may be a 5 min walk further from the Lake. The staff should have at least given us a discount for such false advertising. Also, the bed had a heated quilt but there were no outlets to plug the heater... so what is the point of a heater blanket that I would not be able to use?? SCAM!! AVOID!!!
