Hotel apartado pero confortable”

El Hotel se encuentra a unos 15 minutos en taxi de la estación de trenes,pero merece la pena la elección dada la buena calidad de los servicios. Habitación muy limpia y confortable, buenas vistas del pueblo, el desayuno del buffet muy completo y el personal muy amable.

A good 3* hotel in the center of Lào Cai”

It was ok but nothing special. The totaly room size is big, but a lot of space is used for a part of bathroom and not to use. The location is good for go around in the city center of Lào Cai. In winter time you cannot use the pool because it's outdoor. The breakfast buffet was ok, but not very extensive. For me it's a bit overpriced for what you get at all.

very nice helpfull staff in thsi great hotel. situated in a non-descript street, the hotel itself is really good; clean rooms, feels all very safe. the breakfast was sumptuous, i gather they do this to please chinese businiessman who lodge in lao cai frequently. breakfast of the year winner for me!

Beautiful lobby and rooms”

Large beautiful hotel with facilities for weddings and conventions. Well located with lots of parking. The included breakfast was one of the best I have had the pleasure of eating. The menu was very large for lunch and dinner dining and room service was also good. My first room was very nice and very very small. The second room was larger but with a view that looked into a hallway. What I did not care for were the poor toiletries provided. The razor was dull and the toothpaste difficult to open. The bathtub is so high off the floor as to give guests with mobility problems trouble getting in and out. The water pressure was not very good. I loved the plush towels. The staff was friendly and helpful, but didn't speak much English which is understandable since the hotel caters to Vietnamese and Chinese guests. I was not happy to be presented with a charge for early check in when I was checking out. I made an issue of it saying I should have been told of it when I checked in. It was removed.

Big and renovated hotel”

I decided to stay in this hotel knowing it's not in Sapa where all the tourists staying. The hotel was almost deserted due to the renovations/working at that time. we had very nice dinner and quite nice breakfast.The room was really big and comfortable.

Disappointing”

My boyfriend and I stayed at Lao Cai Star for 2 nights and it was quite disappointing. The staff was unable to give us simple information like how to get to Sapa by bus and instead they tried to sell a private car service that costs 20 times more. In our first room, we saw cockroaches but they accept to change us to another room which was better. The second night when we get back to the hotel we realized they forgot to clean up our room... In a whole, if you can avoid this hotel, just avoid it.

Rats in the hotel”

The hotel is right next to a construction site.. noisy and dusty.. the worse bit, we saw rats running along the wall in the hall way. The second day rats was inside my brother room. We reported to the hotel, they checked and told us that they have covered the hole. On the third day, at lunch time, three rats was under the sofa when we came back to the room. We took photos and filmed the rats. Came down, showed to the staff, demanded to see & speak to the manager. The manager apologized on the phone and said that rats were came from the construction site and they've tried to catch them manually but so many. I was so upset that they knew the rats situation and did nothing.. I decided to check out right away (one day earlier) as don't want to sleep with rats any more.. The hotel did not take this matter seriously and that make me angry...what if we got bitten by rats... and this is a four stars hotel.. I should report this matter to the Heath dpt or Tourism dept while I was still in Vietnam.

Room☆☆☆☆☆　building is old, but clean. not old safety box, refrigerator free waters free coffee powders and tea powders. Staff ☆☆☆☆　very good. helpful improve: wifi antenna I couldn't catch wifi at bedside.

OK but not impress due to rats appearing”

The room was basic, staff was nice but the disappointing was found rats in the hotel room and I had to checked out a day earlier as too scare of the rats.

Lao cai star”

L'hotel est situé à proximité de la frontière, position idéale pour partir en Chine.Il dispose d'une belle piscine. Petit déjeuner complet. Par contre nous sommes arrivés tôt (train de nuir de Hanoï) et on nous a réclamé 50÷ du tarif de la chambre alors que l'hôtel était aux deux tiers vide.
