Our best accomodation during the trip”

Lazy Republique is just so nice, every evening it was a pleasure to get back to this place. Very calm area, but close there are some nice, cheap restaurants, and a shop if you need anything. Renting a motorbike is HIGHLY recommended as you can reach amazing beaches very easily - it's safe and cheap. The owners, Fred and Philippe are kind and colourful people, they gave great suggestions and info about what to see in the area. We liked the well maintained garden with a jungle atmosfere and the clean, salt-water pool. And Dominique the gecko with its funny sound.

We had a great stay at Lazy Republique. The bungalow was very comfortable and it was great to have no TV or WiFi for a week. The staff and owners were all very friendly and polite. The garden is beautiful and natural and the sky is really clear in the night. Take a walk through the Resort across the road to a lovely quiet little beach..

Love my stay here. From the friendly hosts, who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, the appealling design an the great food. Area is secluded but accessible to main area's.Boutique feel in general an a great example of how a place should be run. Will be back again. :-).

The place is new, it is very comfortable, and the owners, who are there in the morning and the evening, are awesome. Their English (and French) is wonderful. The place is a bit out of the way, so not recommended for people who only plan to be on foot, but they hooked me up with a motorbike quite cheap and handled all the details, so if you can do a bike, it's a great place.

Warm place with great staff”

Natalie and her staff are great! Always very helpful, and friendly. The food is so good! We ate other places and then ended up just eating here because it was so good. My boyfriend is a picky eater, and he loved it. It is a 3 minute walk from the beach. We rented scooters from Vj's plaza and then made our way around the island. Very cheap. The rooms are cool and clean. Great design. Good place to stay!

Very nice villas”

Very nice villas (only 4) with great restaurant attached, owned by international couple. Very friendly! Villas are nice and new, but look unfinished: lack of paint and furniture inside. Looks like they didn't have time to finish all that was planned, and hurried to open in 2012-13 season. Hope, it will be fixed later: the rooms need some decor, and minimal set of stuff: TV, fridge, a pair of nightstands. Great breakfast provided! A lot of people come here for a dinner. For the beach (the villas are located on the Bai Lan, not Lonely Beach as described) you should go 5-10 min by motorbike.

Enjoyable stay in Bai Lan, private villas”

Very enjoyable place to stay in Bai Lan... quiet and peaceful. Included breakfast was great. There are also good restaurants near by. The brand new concrete villas have sliding fly screens and glass windows to let air in and keep bugs out. Gardens are nice, well maintained and are lit up at night. The staff are friendly and took care of laundry. No complaints at all.

Lazy Republique - The name is the program”

This ressort is perfect to relax offside from loud bars and parties. The owners Fred and his wife Pilou are very friendly hosts. The beaches are near and the nice housings are clean. Only thing we miss after a long day at the beach: a small television in the housing. We will come back. Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful”

Situated in my favourite part of Koh Chang this area has a nice village feel. The Lazy Republique is in a good quiet location, with very friendly and helpful owner, who was a pleasure to meet. Everything here is of a good standard

A brilliant place to chill”

Was made very welcome from day one. Everyone was very helpful. First time we have experienced in Thailand bug screens on the patio doors and a fleshly cooked breakfast to order rather than a buffet which is cold and rooms cleaned everyday with a smile.😀😀

Great and quite place to relax”

We stayed for 3 days in Lazy Republique. Stay was great, room was spacious and clean, with AC working properly. Shower was fine although drainage was slightly blocked, but no rpoblem. Host: if i remember well his name was Long and he was incredibly welcoming. Always came to say hello in the morning and to have a short chat, always with the smile. We felt very welcome. Breakfast: really nice, Served with love. you can choose from few options and they preparing it for you. I always had scramble egg with ham or bacon. and it was very delicious! My wife had muesli with yogurt and fruits and was also happy with it. In General Location is not near to action, but you have few shops close by, also scooter rent is next door for only 200 bath per day.. Highly Recommend!

Nice private rooms in quit village”

Lazy Republique had some Nice private bungalows with airco. They only serve Breakfast. This accomodation is in Bailan, quit town on Koh Chang. From Bailan you Can easy drive with a motorbike to Lonely Beach and Klong Koi Beach ( our favourite)

Excepcional”

This place is worth visiting due to many factors. The first one - and the biggest one - are peaple working there. Nathalie and Zeeng are really hospitable and helpful. They are always willing to help and talk, help to arrange your further trip etc. Bungalows are modern and clean - they are cleaned every day. Water is brought to your fridge daily, new towels every day:) I would definitely go back or stay longer if given opportunity!:)

A delightful chill-out spot”

My stay at Lazy was delightful. The resort is situated at the northern end of Bailan, a quiet, peaceful little town with great people and great food, and just a 10 minute walk from the party area of Lonely Beach. The owners are extremely hospitable, and truly made me feel at home! The included breakfast was fantastic, and the coffee was European-style pot with milk on the side. The room was basic, clean, functional, and comfortable, with a big bed, air-conditioning, hot water and a refrigerator—it felt like my little home-away-from-home. I really miss this place! I stayed for a week; I could have stayed for a month. I highly recommended it for a quiet chill-out pad whilst staying on Koh Chang! I would stay again. Thank you so much for giving me such a warm and pleasant stay!

Nice stay at Republique Villas”

Nice sized and clean rooms and bathroom. Good water pressure for showers and comfortable beddings. Large sliding doors. Good location if you want to get away for some quiet relaxing time. Host was very friendly and helpful with travel arrangements. A few restaurants and small convenience stores nearby. We recommend Tamarin, cheap, large portions and tasty foods and friendly family owned and operated restaurant. Cons:. Very minimalist, concrete floor, no headboard. Not major issues, we still enjoyed our stay and even extended it by a few days. Need to take taxi to beaches

simply and functional”

Overall, this is a good place to spend the nights at a reasonable price. Other than an aircon, a fridge and a water heater, there're only two small guest soaps and two towels. No hairdryer No shampoo And.. the room floor is an unpolished concrete.. well it's pretty rough and uncomfortable(for me).

Quaint bungalows near Lonely Beach”

Clean, modern bungalows walking distance from Lonely Beach. A bit far from most attractions in Koh Chang but there are a few restaurants and shops close by. Rooms are great and staff is friendly and helpful.

great place”

the rooms are individual full concrete constructions. very secure and kept meticulously clean by the awesome staff (a special shout out to the two wonderful groundskeepers, Pet and Nimm). the location is quiet and away from the general hubbub. everything else needed is nearby. a short walk to any beach. staff were friendly and helpful.

It was awesome! I *loved* Lazy Republique and would definitely stay here again next time I visit Koh Chang. The owners are so friendly, the food is delicious, the quiet music is eclectic and interesting, the rooms are very clean, minimalist, modern and comfortable. Excellent - would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at lazy republique very much. We were only able to stay for two nights, we would have loved to extend our stay as the owners made us feel so welcome and comfortable. It's a very personal and intimate experience. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone!
