Decent property marred by bad experience”

We had booked a cottage in See Front Cottages. The security guard did not know the property name and did not allow us in the parking lot (parking is shared). The check in took long time as the luggage boy was not available. Wasted 1 hour getting into the parking lot and checking in. The billing is a mess. They told us that the rate for breakfast is 199 but charged us 399. Could not negotiate as we were in a hurry to leave. Shall not stay there again.

Overpriced for budget cottages”

When we arrived the bed was made up with dirty bedding and it took 2 attempts s to get it changed. We had to get a maintenance man to show us that the loo did flush if you put all your strength into it but it developed a leak day 3. The food was good especially the chilli prawns although we reluctant to eat it at first. The resort itself was not tranquil as described , camel rides on the beach (which was dirty)and at the weekend it was heaving. The staff won us over to stay..they were super! We didn't,t feel we could go into the pool with western swimming costumes out of respect and this also applied to the beach. The sea was not clean as the area had a lot of industry including fishing and fish processing which made the area smell When we decided to go in the pool when everyone had left, the filter and pump were not working and the pool was murky. The landscaping was beautiful but the place felt run down after the monsoons but , in fairness, was being painted. The houseboat for the backwaters was unavailable as was the motor boat.we visited the paradise lagoon sister resort which was nearing completion. The rooms were outstanding but the restaurant and pool were still to be built.

Angenämt. Det hade blivit ett missförstånd om sängarrangemang: Hade önskat dubbelrum med separata bäddar, men i rummet fanns en dubbelsäng. Hotellet erbjöd omedelbart annat rum - enligt uppgift en uppgradering - utan kostnad. Frukostarna trista, men à la carte-serveringen utomhus i baren utmärkt. Stranden framför hotellet rimligt ren, men stranden i övrigt mycket skräpig. Inga papperskorgar utställda!
