Booking was confirmed for twin beds but the hotel staff refused to give twin beds.
While checkin all the instructions were not passed on properly by the hotel staff to us.
Restaurant space is small. For Supper the restaurant dont offer South Indian food items which is disappointing.ExcelentePros-

4)Transport Facilities provided by them is very good and The driver (P.Mani) who came with us is very supportive

5) Travel expenses are more than normal for local trip within the city and coonoor
5)wont recommend for any people until the above problems are solved

Maybe the room rents were high due to the Easter season, but it was extremely overpriced for the facilities provided. All the staffs were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were spacious. Staffs very co operative and helpful . It has the best connect to the shopping streets on Ooty . Meadows residency has the best contacts for drivers and local visit . If you book a room here and go for a random trip also they will guide you on your visit . Breakfast, which was complimentary was at its best . Coffee was little average in taste , Coffee lovers can go for Tea here ..Dunt forget to taste cookies from the cookie jar in your room. Its awesome !!! Any day i plan again to ooty i will block this place .

Thw hotel was great. Nice location close to eateries and short distance to attractions. Staff were exceptional and very friendly. Definitely worth the money.

Loved my one day stay in Meadows Residency. Will definitely book there next I am in Ooty. Wonderful rooms, hospitality, nice restaurant (The Oven) and excellent location (close to all the tourist interests). And all this for a reasonable price.

Something less for each day.”
I have stayed two nights there. There are something less (no towels or no complementary bottled waters, etc) for each day. Having said that, the hotel is very nice and the staff was polite and if I ask anything they were willing to help me on my request. One thing I have to add is "The dosa for the breakfast was awesome!"

Good Budget Hotel but not a 3 star Hotel.”
Located right in the heart of the city at Charring cross, very close to the Botanical, Rose gardens and Market, Owing to the location it is convenient to visit most of the spots by walk. The complimentary breakfast is really tasty and served hot which consists of south Indian breakfast with eggs, dosas, toast made to order. But the restaurant is quite small and had only 4 tables, sometimes we have to wait a little bit. The room looks a little smaller than shown in photos but room is good and the service is also very good. Friendly and cooperative staff. In the room, most of the lights were broken and the bedside lights were not there as shown in the picture and looks like somebody had removed it, in the toilet lights were not working, though we complained, they never bothered to fix it. Also, there was problem with hot water. Even though it was summer, it is quite cold in Ooty and hot water was not coming all the time. Heater and hair dryer r not found in the room. Floor was not that much clean The bathroom was clean but the toilet drainage system was very poor and it blocked each day. Room Service was good, Mr.Venkat Raman used to serve really quick. One evening when he was not there we had to wait for more than 45 minutes for a cup of tea, and they told it is due to rush in the restaurant. Wi-Fi is awful, it is very slow, and my mobile network which is much faster than Wi-Fi. Room did not have safe, so make sure to carry your own lock and key. The first day when we returned, rooms were not cleaned, upon enquiry we found that we have to hand over the key before leaving and instruct them to clean the room, but staff did not tell in advance.

As always, Meadows is a most convenient place to stay close to the centre of Ooty with good service and comfortable rooms. I will definitely come back again. However, this time we were a bit disappointed with the very poor wifi connectivity, which had been better on previous stays.

I've stayed at several hotels and guesthouses in Ooty and the Meadows Residency has impressed me the most with its excellent service, central location and affordable price. The rooms are of medium size and equipped with everything (including 24-hours hot water and good wifi in the rooms - neither of which are to be taken for granted in Ooty). The South Indian breakfast was fresh and tasty. The location just next to Charing Cross is very convenient. Excellent value for money.

3 lovely days in meadows residency”
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The services provided were fuss- free, warm & genuine. The rooms were very clean, well maintained and comfortable. We had a warm south Indian breakfast each morning and we were pleased with it. The staff are very kind and helpful. It is located near many shops.. you can walk down and explore the town. The hotel is within walking distance to the railway station where we took a lovely train ride down to conoor and back, admiring nature. Furthermore the KPN bus service centre is just next door so it was very easy for us to travel. We will definitely go back to meadows residency next time. Thumbs up! Suggestion: You could consider renting movie dvds in the hotel as the nightlife in ooty in quite dull. That could keep guests entertained in the late evenings and night.

Would have preferred a twin bed option. Staff friendly but didn't always respond to requests first time.
