Big hotel, good location but dont expect 5 star facilities ”

Pros: the rooms are big; clean and some of the staff do speak English . The breakfast is doable. This hotel you can sleep comfortably. There is no smoke smell in the rooms. Cons: the gym is small and aircon operates during certain hours. Rooms are a bit musky.

Muong Thanh Lao Cai - helpful staff”

Booked 3 deluxe rooms and we stayed on 13th floor. This hotel has great view over the city. What impressed us most is the staff of the hotel who are very friendly and helpful. Overall Muong Thanh Lao Cai is a good value hotel and our stay was comfortable.

A good deal with Agoda”

A really good deal with Agoda, even if the price is the double and it would be expensive for what is it. There is a swimming pool on the 4th floor, it wasn't open. There also a little training center and a few tables tennis. A very luxury hotel with a nice view from the room.

The hotel is really good. Stayed at 16th floor, i could enjoy an amazing view from mah room. It has a good location, next to the supermarket, near local market just 5 minutes to walk. Clean room, friendly staffs, quick service.

This place seems to have rather low rates compared with similar hotels in larger towns. This is understandable given that Lào Cai is not exactly the most desirable destination for a visit. Perhaps if one had business in China it would be much more of a pleasant place to prepare, but it's not really worth staying in the town on the way to Sa Pa, for example. However, if one had to stay, there are worse places. The entrance hall is almost laughably grand. The general feel of the staff and, to an extent, the hotel, is somewhat communist, in the cultural cliché sense (i.e. not in the political sense)—not much smiling, rather humorless, etc. Staff could benefit from customer service training—particularly the restaurant staff. All over Vietnam, it is not necessarily usual for restaurant staff to come back over, check on your table, ask if you want more drinks, etc—you usually have to call them yourself—but here it seemed particularly bad—large numbers of staff milling around, paying no attention to the tables, etc. Similarly, when we wanted to use the pool at 6:30 am, and it was locked despite an advertised 6am opening, the staff seemed perplexed, put out, and nonplussed that we went downstairs to ask them to open it, which they finally did 10 minutes later. Not good enough for a hotel with their claims to quality, although again, the low price makes all this forgivable. Everything else fine.

I book the cheapest price on list, so that their behavior so terrible, the receptionist welcome with the sad and angry face, the room doesnt have wifi signal, when i ask them about wifi, they told me to open the door to have wifi, the window can not close, the air condition and the beg is noisy all night, breakfast doesnt have beef or omlettet. Please consider to come here
