Best hotel to stay. Staff is friendly and warm. We were 3 girls group and they accomadate all our requests. We are grateful that they offer late checkout with no additional fees. My only concern is housekeeping could have been improved.

Olanro Negombo - Friendly Staff”
The Staff at Olanro Negombo are friendy and supportive. The Meals were also tasty and in good quality. However, the variety of food was very limited and the hot water facility was not properly functioning.

In case of dissatisfaction of Set menu we go for the Ala-carte menu which is fulfill with various types of dishes with the cuisine of different countries in the world. Hot water works by electrical energy and water takes some time to get heated in to maximum level after shower is on. Great place to stay”
Great place,location and service. We have really enjoyed our stay. Location is very centralized to beach and town. Great food and amazing service. Reasonable price. Internet speed was fairly good, i used my personal 4 G router for my personal use. This place is great value for your money.

Nice hotel Close enough to the airport”
We stayed for 2 nights here, it is well worth the money, the staff are helpfull and friendly:) The room was very nice, and the food was very good!:) You for sure get value for the money you Pay. If i should mention one thing that is a tiny bit negative, it is that the bathroom could be a Little bit more clean, but it was nice and it didnt make a difference for how we enjoyed our stay there overall:) Thank you so much!Thank you Sri Lanka:)Best regards Sara and Eddin from Sweden

Great Value for Money Good Food”
Pros: Great Choice of Food Restaurant Steward Chandana & a Stewardess Who Spoke all 3 Languages Fluently Treated us Well. Kudos to the Chef who Made Mouth Watering Food. Cons: Reception Guest Handling is Poorest comparing to Other Hotel. The Receptionist Who Welcomed us Had a Strange Tone when she knew we are Sri Lankans. Her English is Poor and Needs Training. Other Staffs Were Helpful Housekeeping after 3 complaints they sent someone to clena our bathroom immediately.

The bedding looks old and is not clean enough. But there is a nice garden and swimming pool. Breakfast is good as well. I would like to stay one more day if time was allowed.

We had a room next to the reception wich was very noise - air conditioning and other noise during the whole night. The bathroom wasn't clean, no soap at the washbasin. The bedclothes didn't look clean. The staff wasn't to kind.

Not worth what you pay for ”
Pros - close to airport about 700 rupees by tuk tuk. - The pool is lovely - breakfast was good Cons- Firstly, the younger staff at reception were not helpful and were on their phones the whole time. Rooms were small and for a new hotel the bathroom wasn’t in the best condition. The shower was rusty and had a strange smell. - We we’re not impressed to find that the WIFI did not work the entire stay nor did the TV have reception so you couldn’t watch anything. - The fact that this hotel was about 70USD we expected more. Plenty off other places along the beach to choose from for half the price

Hotel is ok with the amount you paid, specially in holiday season period. We faced some small problems due to the Christmas night. They didn't have Sri Lankan breakfast, but no worries, English breakfast was good. Pool was large one comparing to other similar type hotels. They have some construction going at the moment. They didn't arranged the Tea Coffee making facility at the room so we had to ask for it, but there arn't any cream packets, kind awkward. But overall its value for your money for a short stay period.

We chose this hotel for our first couple of nights in Sri Lanka mainly because it was close to the airport and near the beach, it was a lucky choice but a very good one. The place is immaculate and the staff are wonderful . The cook (Ramon) will do anything he can to please. It's a great start (or end) to a visit to this fabulous island, the only reason I've given a low mark for the location is to warn travelers with children; It's a ten minute walk to the beach along an unlit busy road. But really it's no problem, just shout Tuk Tuk.

The rooms look modern. However we had an ant problem in the first room we got. Then we went to another room where the AC leaked water. Then we again shifted to another where there was a gap in the door. So at night with the inside of the room lit up, one may able to see inside. Last room was ok. Food was ok as well.

Very Disappointing Hotel ( Considered the WORST Hotel Ever Stayed)”
The hotel staffs are very unfriendly and the breakfast has no option. Cleanliness is extremely poor, their cab driver is very arrogant and their waiters are extremely rude. NOT RECOMMENDED

Not relaxing at all”
We stayed at Olanro for 8 nights last week. This was our last week of our fantastic trip through Sri Lanka. The hotel was terrible!! - in the weekend the swimmingpool was full of locals, divers who were practicing and they even took their rabbits to the swimmingpool. The local mens where looking all the time and giving sexual signs towards us. Swimmingpool was dirty with a lot of long dark hair. - the bathroom was realy realy smelly!! - the staff was realy rude as the cleaner stolen money from us out of our room. We told the front office immidiately about the incident and they told us the owner would come. We waited for hours but didnt see the owner so we asked it again. All the staff was already informed about what happend but they didnt believed us and they were looking angry to us all the time. We needed to wait 2 days and we asked it several times before he came to our room and finally said sorry. He said the cleaner would be dismissed but the next day we saw him cleaning again. - their was a lot of noise in the evening caused by the outside locals who had familydiners and even a funeral. I won't stay in this hotel again! Even the food was realy good!
