calidad/precio peor imposible”
service quality needed to IMPROVE!!!!!!!!!!”
the venue of the hotel is very good, and i think there is no one would doubt about it. there's NO FREE car park with the hotel. and you should park the car to the Lane car park, which is very close to the hotel. but it is very very COSTLY! However, i think the car park is not the worst thing. Getting into check in, you would know what is disaster. I've booked the hotel through Agoda, and I've showed the booking numbers to the receptionist. they said there was no booking under my name and the booking number either!!! the receptionist was going check again and again, and finally find my booking. and the reception is very small with a lot of people was checking in there, just like a market everybody just shouting. Eventually, I've spend at lest 30mins at the check in counter.
Proper grown up family hotel”
Third time we’ve stayed here. Two daughters (there wasn’t a correct traveller title for us!) taking their mum (Christmas gift) this hotel is perfectly positioned for us to take our older mum to pubs restaurants shopping and royal pavilion. Just across the road from the beach and a lovely spa!
Very good hotel and excellent value for money at this time of year for a midweek deal”
We needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights after moving house. The Queens fitted the bill completely. Right on the seafront and close to all major Brighton amenities. We had a sea view room. Great size, comfy bed, good shower and good tea/coffee facilities. Staff were very friendly. The midweek deal we got was excellent. A shame we weren't able to take advantage of all the facilities but for a great rate there was breakfast included as well as a pool and sauna. A small mini-fridge in the room would have been the only thing j would add. Otherwise, a near-perfect experience.
Great Location, friendly staff. Would stay again”
Noisy at night, take ear plugs.
Cleanliness not so good - staff average”
Stayed 4 nights. Very good location and I had a sea facing room with great views, found the housekeeping very hit and miss. Sometimes they came other times they didn’t. When they did come the standard was poor. Breakfast was good but crazily busy.
Fun Girls Holiday in Brighton”
we really enjoyed our stay at the Queens Hotel the staff were extremely helpful at all times - we had sea view rooms which were large and comfortable Breakfast was really good - plenty of it too The only down side was the club music coming from over the road - did not stop until 4am on Friday & Saturday nights - even with the windows closed it still bothered us But that is something that is not controlled by the hotel Overall - we thouroughly enjoyed it
Must have had the noisiest room in Brighton”
The room looked onto a kebab shop that closed at 8am after being open all night. Every drunk in town decended on it from 2am to 5:30am
Great location, great breakfast and huge rooms”
Staff were really friendly and helpful
Hotel itself is a bit dated, however facilities in the spa make up for this. In particular the salon has a very good range of massages, I highly recommend Francesca who is a fantastic massage therapist. Breakfast was basic not good enough for what you pay. If it wasn’t for the pool and spa facilities I would not recommend staying there.
Lovely staff and room .. brekkie was filling and unlimited... only down side was the noise with only single glazed windows on our room we herd everything and with several pubs and night clubs close by we could hear everything till 5am... would benefit from secondary glazing ... swimming pool was lovely .
Great location, staff and facilities”
Warm, helpful friendly staff. Lovely Victorian building. Practically opposite the pier. Excellent facilities with pool, gym and sauna access all included. Good breakfast. Civilised 11am checkout. Large comfortable rooms.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. This time we had an amazing king size room with a sea view. The staff are always friendly and willing to help, speacial thanks to Zoltan and Danna in the bar and restaurant. The pool is beautiful and the location is perfect. The only negatives...the sash windows obviously have a maximum opening of 10cms for safety reasons but it wouldn’t stay open so the room can get very hot despite its size and air conditioning, even in winter AND the website advertises special offers on cocktails Sunday to Thursday, that offer isn’t on! :( We would, all 3 of us happily return again the Queens Hotel ‘rocks’!
Very good hotel but bad nights sleep”
The hotel room was really nice, clean and warm and the sea view was lovely but the windows are old and there was very loud thumping club music somewhere locally outside (on a Thursday night) which went on until 5am Friday morning and then lots of shouting from people when it finished so didn't get much sleep. Breakfast was really nice and a good selection.
The hotel was a delight to stay in, as a couple the studio room had all the facilities we needed. ”
The breakfast was good, not the best but there was a big variety. The staff were excellent, particularly at the bar. The room was good but the cleaning/maid service was a bit unreliable, we didn’t know what time it would be. The shower was beautiful. The facilities like the sauna and pool were good, but the major downside was that the changing rooms had no cubicles to change in. There was one toilet in the women’s and that was it so it was very uncomfortable and awkward getting changed with other people in there.
For a 3 star hotel this hotel is not bad at all. We stayed in an apartment, the sofa bed was lop sided but overall that's probably the only criticism I have. Agoda had the best price for this room, took ages at the hotel trying to get them to match this price and eventually I booked through Agoda to secure the lower price. The swimming pool was ok, water a bit nippy, but otherwise nice, changing rooms could do with a makeover. Breakfast was good, day 1 we pointed out the hash browns were chewy and stale from being steamed from sitting too long and the next day the chef brought out smaller quantities so they were nice and crisp, they took on board our views. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Special room for special occasion ”
We stayed in the Tower Suite on the 3rd floor. Lovely size room with large bed and jacuzzi........ very special for our couple of days away. It was London to Brighton cycle weekend so rate was very expensive.
Birthday trip with mum and sister”
We bought this as a gift for our mum. A few days away with just the three ladies. The staff at this hotel are outstanding, really polite, always friendly and really helpful. The bar staff were attentive and gracious. Breakfast is vast and a comfortable dining experience as too dinner that we had one evening on arrival. Cream tea is a must the scones are delightful. Book a table for a lovely sea view. Rooms are big and have what you need (with exception of heated towel rails in bathroom) the swimming pool and gym are a wonderful added bonus. The hotels location is perfect for whatever you're looking to do in this gregarious city. We would definitely return and hope to soon!
Expensive for Brighton”
This was relatively expensive hotel so I was expecting something a bit better. The room was small and the windows the size of a postage stamp with no view. No air con so I was hot all night as the windows could only be opened a few cms. Reception and restaurant excepted other staff English language skills were limited.
Almost perfect if the Internet was working, no air conditioning so had to open the windows. We were given room with window facing the side street, so it's noisy of people partying outside the bars and restaurants. Lots of stairs to deal with in every floor, so carrying heavy suitcase going in and out of your room is a struggle. They should have ramp. Not recommended to persons with difficulty claiming stairs or wheelchair bound. The hotel is very charming and centrally located. Everything is within walking distance.
