Great hotel with perfect view !”
Great hotel with perfect view !
The location is very far from the Mall road. You need to have a car or a taxi to travel . Rest is fine.
Major cleanliness issue”
I stayed at this place in March with 2 toddlers. Rooms were super dirty, linens were not washed for months and lot of dust. We stayed there for 2 nights and were waiting for our holiday to get over. Both my children were sick by the end of the holiday and we regretted booking this place. This place is a BIG NO for family, bachelors can still manage. Food was decent, room service was better than the buffet. I plan not to book any sterling propoerty ever.
Worth the price”
As usual Sterling resorts are good to stay, but this one is little outside of the market approx 2 kms away so one needs to have a vehicle to reach the market area. One way its good that the resort is little far away from the crowd but it becomes difficult if anyone wants to go into the market area anytime. Rooms are neat and clean. Location is fantastic. Food little expensive. Staff is co-operative.
EID Festivals ”
Please provide tissue box at room and free wi if at room
All in all..a terrible stay.
Great place if you want to recharge yourself in natural bliss ”
Queen of the mountains as its popularly known, Mussoorie hosts this grand resort - Sterling. Resort on the whole is amazing. The approach road is worrying. Getting to this resort is a nightmare. No signage prominently placed. We found it difficult to get to this place. But once in, it was a nice one to spend a few nights. They have a choice of hotel rooms and suites. Suites are spacious. Food is a bit above average. Could try this one fir 3/4 days. By the way, no shuttle services to mall Road which is the main market street. You need to spend Rs. 600 for a return trip to the mall road.
Lives up to its name- holiday differently!! Wonderful stay”
Large spacious rooms offering a mountainside view, friendly and helpful staff, less items on menu but excellent preparation. There’s no wify and the property is located a little off route, but the view compensates for it. We were looking forward to a peaceful holiday and it indeed offers one😊
Far from Mall Road !!”
Actually its a very nice property and well maintained and have all qualities to be rated as “5 Star” but I am going with 3-Star rating because : 1. Property is located almost 3-4 kms away from Mussoorie mall road, there is nothing near to the property not even a small food joint ( though one can find 1/2 tea shops). If you are not on your own vehicle taxi from hotel to mall road will cost you Rs 300 one way as on hills this is not at all a walkable distance. 2. Hotel Staff is not 100% prompt, for small services you need to call them few times. If you want to just enjoy the property or travelling by your own vehicle its a good choice else you may feel stuck here. However considering the location of property cost is on bit higher side, I think should atleast have one round of drop and pick shuttle services to increase comfort level of guests.
Very professionally managed hotel. Plenty of in-house activities to keep you occupied when its too cold outside. Highly recommended for honeymoon couples especially. Well heated during the winter months.
Mobile network is problem and wifi usage is chargeable. Also house keeping facility is slow.”
No network Wifi connectivity is chargeable Slow in house service Pros : good resort and great location
Ok for the price charged”
The hotel is located around 2.5 km from the mall road (M.G road end) and is a bit secluded. The doon valley views from the rooms are stunning. A great selection of food is available though a bit over priced. However, cannot say much about the staff especially at the reception area. The staff kept on changing and most were indifferent. Travel desk person was really useful in guiding us in planning our daily itinerary.
Good view but . . .”
The good point about this resort is the view. Else, it is far from the main town (2.5 km from the library). The cottage rooms are very far off from almost everything and guests need to walk up and down the hill. This is difficult for senior guests. The room is fine but the bathroom is not clean. Anyway, this resort is suitable for groups with young kids cause they have adventure activities, etc.
Had expected Sterling holiday resort to be a resort with class, however it turned out to be quite opposite. Housekeeping was bad, the room given to us, No. 0080 had a bad smell in it, the walls were damp with fungal growth on it. The bedside drawer had biscuit crumbs in it. The key card repeatedly failed. The waiter in the restaurant promised me discount on dinner and then went back on his words. The location is scenic but far away from the Mall road and the taxi charges Rs.300 one way. The resort should arrange pick up and drop for reasonable rates if not for free. Bad quality dairy creamer kept in room. Overall, a good resort but badly managed.
We loved this resort..it was just amazing☺
Value for Money.... Best place to be...”
Cool Stay.!! Though the approach road is very adventurous, you will forget all and find yourself out from the Jungle fire and in a very peaceful locality ( Mobile connectivity is Rare :) Clean rooms and Bathrooms.. Staff was supportive...
This was nice, comfortable and relaxing”
This is one of the good resorts at secluded place, 4 km from hustle bustle of mall road
A decent stay”
We really enjoyed our stay in Pine hill for its scenic mountain view from balcony, delicious food from the restaurant and quiet environment. A few things which hindered us actually were 1. Very small TV for a junior suite & channel availability was very few. 2. Indo-Tibetian Police academy is very near to this resort & hence mobile phone signals were not reachable. Vodafone is almost nill & Airtel is little better in their lobby & restaurant. 3. Though in the website it says that the resort is renovated in 2011, the quilt was not so clean which ended up in slight allergy in my forehead (I'm not too sure whether my allergy was because of the climate or the old quilt).
It was a great experience staying at Pine Hill, the hotel campus itself is beautiful and there is something for every age group.
It was awasome”
Thought the stay was good, rooms needs to be improved. Out of 5 rooms, 1 was not upto to the standard. Bed were not in the condition.
