The Staff is amazing, from check-in, to information to booking additional activites for you. Located just a few minutes from the Main street by the lakefront. Clean, spacious and tidy facilities. Very high standard and a super cool glamping tent! Thanks for making it a great stay.

Great location (lakefront), certain rooms with lake view and within short walking distance to the town centre (plus supermarket). Stayed in the building next to the main hostel, would love to have the kitchen with seasoning (eg, pepper, cooking oil, etc..) which you don't buy when you're visiting for short term. Otherwise, would recommend..

We stayed here for 2 nights as it’s a great access for our trip to Milford Sound. The internet is weak but it’s not the main issue. The shower is great. We loved the extra blanket to keep you warm at night.

We only stayed night to break-up our Milford Sound trip as it’s a very long drive from Queenstown. It was a little confusing when we arrived as there’s another place called Lakefront Lodge which has nothing to do with th backpackers. Would defo stay at Lakefront Backpackers again.

Good starting point for Milford Sound”
Clean, super new bathroom , everything functioning well. We were at the end of the complex and the internet signal was weak, had to go to the main building to call or send email. On the other hand, it was quiet, we didn't hear the noise from the main building.

Fantastic Location”
Place was in front of the LAKE and walk able to city center . The room has a lot of space and a small kitchenette to do cooking. A good place to stay definitely. Highly recommended.

Nice lake view room with newly renovated bathroom. Just the room is lack of hanger facility, we have to put our clothes on the chair. Kitchen facilities not really equipped. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Room is spacious and clean with good view. We saw rainbow for twice at Te Anau lake. Poor wifi facilities - super weak signal from the room.

we booked a quad room & it is spacious & warm. However the bathroom is too basic with no proper seperation of shower & toilet. it would be helpful if shower curtain have worked & avoid to wet the whole floor. Communal kitchen is big and there is 1 big cat always welcome or bug you for foods.

They didn’t bother dusting the room before guests check-in. Dead insects and dust were everywhere in the room. It was disgusting to open the en-suite bathroom to find an un-flushed toilet.
