I booked with Agoda But I was checking in staff said I booked from Agoda and she shows the result on her computer. Stuff and front counter not so friendly and she charges us 800 baht/ night with bad service and bad quality for all material all poor

Very basic room with no amenities.”

They have a very nice seaside chalet however the rooms are too basic and the surrounding areas are not being kept clean.gardens full of dead leaves and rubbish dump just next to the chalets.public toilet at the cafe are dirty and flooded and nobody fixed it for 3 days.Its sad to see such a nice place but the upkeep and service is not their priority.

Ideal for all types of Travellers”

I would recommend The Blue Parrot for a number of reasons. One being that it’s really cheap, I would recommend getting an Air Conditioning room if possible, however the Fan rooms aren’t terrible. Two, it’s close enough to everything but far enough away as well. By this I mean, it’s like a 5 minute Walk to a food Court and loads of bars near by. it is about 20 minutes from the Full Moon Party, however the Hotel will arrange transport for you to the Full Moon Party which cost 100THB Per Person. It takes about 5/10 minutes to get to this place from when you get off the boat. DO NOT PAY FOR A TAXI PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THONG SALA PIER AS YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF. There’s loads of Taxi’s to catch from the pier. Lastly, I would recommend getting a moped as you’re able to see the whole island, but mainly because you have to go to the “PANTIP MARKET” which is right by Thong Sala Pier.

Nice cabins”

The cabins are clean and comfortable and the compound is well kept. The staff are friendly but the cabins faxe wachothwr , not the ocean and the food is too pricey. All in all, a good choice but The Beach Villiage Reaort next door has a variety of priced rooms and a pool as well and they rent bikes! Both were good.

Amazing 4 days at Parrot”

We stayed four days there in a aircon room every thing was okay and you definitely have to try the pizza at the restaurant. The staff is is friendly and helpful.

Always a great stay”

Nice room. Great owner, staff are helpful and will clean room when requested. Good pizza and sunsets at the restaurant. Grounds are well maintained and covered motorbike parking available. Set on a nice stretch of beach and close to 7-11 and grocery store

End of rainy season review”

Take note: I am writing this review right after the rainy season and a huge monsoon downpour period. We stayed 4 nights total. If you are sensitive to mold, be careful what season you stay here in. We booked a fan room, but upon arrival it had a very strong moldy smell. We upgraded to an air-con room, even though we don’t care for a/c only because the smell was slightly better in the air con room. Connor (owner) was accommodating and gave us a small break on the price of the more expensive air con room. We did get sore throats and eyes by the 4th day regardless. There was black mold spots on the ceiling corners, the pillows and parts of the mattress. The a/c unit leaked a lot so the area under where it is placed is unusable. However the room is still spacious, so there are other places to put things. The bathroom was clean and functional. The wi-fi was working one full day only, and intermittent the other 3 days. When it rained hard outside, the walls became wet on the inside. We had to move the mattress away from the wall. There are only two plug outlets for power. One is placed quite high and my adapter kept falling out, so only one was really usable (we have 4 devices to charge between the two of us). Cleanliness is not perfect but acceptable. The heavy curtains help block out the morning light and the area was relatively quiet considering it was full moon party time. Try the pizza - its delicious. The property itself is okay, but we were very disappointed with the (public) areas in front and back of the property. The beach had lots of garbage and rivers nearby were pouring dirty water into the ocean. We would not swim here at this time. The entrance to the property is bordered with the public road and ditch that was full of dirty water and garbage.

Massive disappointment”

We were a group of 3 staying in the triple room for one night. When we arrived we were given the key for our fan room which smelt of mould. After leaving our clothes in there for just a couple of hours, we returned to them being damp with a horrible smell. On top of this, the bed linen was soaked right through, meaning we were unable to sleep in the room. We asked to change rooms, our request was accommodated however the room we were moved to was only slightly better. However, the top sheet on the double bed had eroded away in parts due to mould and was therefore unusable. By the time we realised this, reception had closed for the night and we were left having to sleep with our towels. The wifi is almost non existence, the connection is terrible and you can't access it in the rooms. The service overall was ok, but minor issues occurred which included being told the wrong room price upon arrival, and issues with an unclear food menu meant we were overcharged. We would not recommended anyone to stay here. However two positives are that the location is good and it has a nice restaurant and bar on the beach front.

It is far from the food market, need to walk about 3km. If you walk at night, best way is to past through the hospital back door to the main road. Or else the road to market is very dark and scary.. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Excellent guest services. Room is fine, clean & tidy, you pay what you get. It is big but without TV.

Had a great stay here. Ideal place to chill out in pre Full Moon party. On a lovely small beach, nice area, lots of shops, restaurants around. Good party resort next door. Chilled vibe here, good food, lovely helpful staff, tv with lots of movies & comfy bean bags for chilled out days. Need to get an air con room, other rooms damp.
