One Night Only”
I only stayed at UDee for one night, but would have stayed longer if I could. This is a lovely place to stay. I was with a friend and we got a room with twin beds as requested. The room was clean. Towels, water, and mini fridge were all provided. There was also a TV but we never turned it on. The A/C worked well and there was a nice little balcony off of our room. The bathroom was good as well. I have no complaints! The location is really great - walking distance from the bridge and night market. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby... check out the Library Cafe across the street! Staff was friendly and although I didn’t really need them for such a short stay, I felt like I could reach out and get help if needed. It is a walk up building, so be ready to climb some stairs!

Good location, clean room, n friendly staff. Price is affordable. However, if you are staying on the higher floor, be prepared to climb the stairs. Overall, a very good hotel.

1 night transfer stay”
Hotel has no lift but not more than 4 storeys. Shower pressure and hot water was fine. No separation from shower and toilet was a little uncomfortable. They provided some light snacks and drinks near the entrance/exit door for guest. Cars can be parked along the side of the guesthouse exterior.

What happen if unable to open main gate when you return at night. Or electrical failure at night. What if there is a medical emergency? Shoud offer guest a number when check in or display at main entrance and in room.

Nice stay”
Room was very nice. Clean bathroom. Air con was great. Staff was very nice and has a cute little coffee shop down stairs with delicious drinks and a very cute patio. Very quiet at night. Not far from death railyway and night market. Bed was comfy.

We arrived around 11:30 and were able to check in early. We were showed to our room and provided with ice cold bottles of water in our fridge. The receptionist gave us a map and showed us where all the points of interest were in the area. Upon check out she also ordered a taxi for us. Very happy with this service.

Relaxing place close to restaurants”
U Dee is located about 15 minutes walk from the train station, the station is also where the night market is. There is a cafe downstairs and also a more fancy restaurant right across. Staff are friendly and room is clean. Appreciate them having complimentary buns and coffee for us downstairs. You can take a slow walk to the River Kwai Bridge and get food and souvenirs there. The bus station is a bit far to walk and so if you wish to catch the bus/van, you should arrange for a taxi or bike.

U dee was a delight to stay at! The rooms were nice and large and the aircon worked really well! It was in a great location, around a 10 minute walk to the bridge and a 5 minute walk to the train station! (If you are traveling from Bangkok I highly recommend getting a train from thonburi noi station for 100 baht) We also visited erewan national parks 7 step waterfall. This is a must if you are here! You can get a bus for 50 baht from the station and the staff were really great in organising a tuk tuk early in the morning to get there! You dee also has its own massage parlour next door which was great! Would highly recommend! There was sandwiches left out beside the coffee machine most mornings which was really good! It saved us having to buy dinner a few days as we just threw one in our bags and ate them whilst out. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to stop in kanchanaburi as it has everything you would be looking for!

Stayed here for a few nights and the room was clean and comfortable. 30 minute walk to bridge train station or 35 minutes to main station. They have worked to make the room as quiet as possible which helps for a good sleep. Close to places to eat, and we found Sawitree towards the bridge for excellent bicycle rental ( higher standard mountain bikes) and scooter hire.

Cons.. 1)rather quiet place BUT not very good sound proofing of rooms. if you are a light sleeper would be an issue. A guest (at i don't know which floor) spoke very loudly and i could hear her loud and clear . It was also inconsiderate of her. 2) the entry point to the rooms is at the side of the cafe/lobby of the bed and breakfast. But can be un-safe if you get back late. there is no front desk at night, though i suspect there is a night staff around. 3) No phone in room AND only stairs up to the rooms. Issue if you have difficulty climbing stairs. Pros.. 1) Quiet part of town if you like it. 2) Has a rather posh cafe opposite it. called Library Cafe. 3)Owner Kan is helpful. You can ask her for tour and taxi arrangements. She explains stuff to you when checking in. 4) The entry point maindoor to the rooms is only opened with only with room card. 5) Like it that they provide light snack/breakfast for guests in the morning. Hot water flask with free pre-mixed coffee only downstairs.

Hotel is most worthy of its high ranking, but very high cost of local in-town transport limits options. Lack of a gym & constant running out of guest amenities, particularly hot water for coffee, are drawbacks. English is not widely spoken or understood in Kanchanaburi. It makes getting basic needs met very hard.

Clean, comfortable and spacious room with a balcony. They have a coffee shop downstairs with air con that is a nice spot to relax. They provide free tea and coffee and snacks. The rear entrance is good for security and is separate from the coffee shop. It is in a great location, it's not far to the bridge, 7/11, restaurants and bars. This will be my first choice when staying in Khanchanaburi again! Thanks to the staff!

Great location, clean room”
We had a double room at UDee and it was a great base for our stay in Kanchanaburi. The room was big and clean and we had a fridge in our room which was good. The A/C in the room was powerful. The location was good because you can easily walk to the River Kwai bridge and the main street with shops, restaurants, bars etc - but it was far enough away from the noisy bars to get a good nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that the WiFi signal wasn't very good in our room.
