Clean and tidy staff very friendly
Very good hotel for the money.”
Staff was excellent. The radiators in our room had no heat. When I mentioned this to the staff, they gave us a portable heater. That solved our heat problem. The hotel has no parking, but you can park temporarily on the side street to unload. We booked a nearby parking lot to oark our car. The hotel is located on a side street with lots of restaurants. We had a great dinner at the Siam Siam Thai Restaurant on this street. The Brighton Pier and Tower are nearby.
Very dissatisfied ”
I was checked into a very cold room, windows very dirty, curtains dangling, toilet facilities very dirty and smelly. In the middle of January you would expect that a hotel room should warm enough to give you a small comfort while you sleep but this was the opposite.
Booked 2 night and changed the first room due to the window curtain r not cover properly and all the plumbing drainage are stuck ! Changed to other the room n its the same problem !
Good hotel, worth the money paid (£30) but shower didn't work”
Great sized room, bed was huge & bathroom was nice. Stayed for 1 night, staff were very friendly. Only problem we had was in the morning we were unable to to shower because the water had been turned off! Called reception to find out problem & they said the boiler was broken & being repaired. Obviously out of their control, but still not great news for us. I'd have been really annoyed if I'd paid more for the room tbh.
This is a hostel not a 3* hotel. ”
The pros, good location and great staff, well heated. Cons Hotel very dilapidated, dirty windows, dirty floors, dirty and stained pillows, rusty taps, to loud noise from outside you can hear people talking on the street and the walls are to thin so you can hear every movement from the next rooms. We never had any sleep until 4:30 in the morning because it was to noisy. We stayed for two nights but our room was not cleaned or beds made during our stay. This place should be marketed as a hostel not a hotel. Not worthy the money they charge per night.
Dirty & old”
Rooms were not ready even though we stayed we were arriving at 12. They did allow us to get changed in another room, which was nice. Rooms were of an awful standard. Had not been thoroughly cleaned, smelt damp, windows would not close fully. Lightbulbs were broken and toilet seat did not fit the toilet. One of the showers filled the base with water when you tried to use it and we found somebodies dirty laundry at the side of the bed. Spend a bit more and go elsewhere I tried to give no stars where there are one, but it wouldn’t let me.
Por encima de la media”
Fantastic location. Helpful and friendly staff. Cleanliness left something to be desired. Beds awful, springs sticking up. Very noisy - people walking around sounded like a herd of elephants. Lots of students staying, so doors banging and shouting etc. very expensive for what you get :(
Good and cheap”
Nice enough but freezing”
The stay was below average, for the middle of November all we had was a thin sheet instead of a duvet, room was freezing cold, had to sleep fully clothed and had a scarf on, was still cold, the radiator was on full but didnt seem to radiate any heat. Loved the little kitchen section with the fridge, this came in very handy, The people in the room next door were very loud and seemed to be having a party until 5am, and rhe other side were enjoying some sexual intercourse being very loud, which an older lady travelling with us did not appreciate; but no way of contacting the front desk to report it other than to go back downstairs to the front of the hotel.
Not very nice it's too noisy you can hear footsteps on the ceiling as we were put on the ground floor room
The only downside was that the lift was not working. As I cannot manage stairs too well, this was a problem. We were given a choice of rooms because of this. Staff were really good. Hotel very central, suited us as was near to relatives, whom we had come to visit. The entrance was not very inviting, but after that all ok. We would return
Very basic ”
Not the best very basic
From the train station it is a 25 minute walk so we got a cab down there. The receptionist was great she made sure the room was ready for us and it was a quick and easy check in process. The room was great we was located on the 3rd floor... The hall way was under renovation, as we walked through we had got dust on our things but wipped off easily. The room had enough space for a double and the bathroom exceed mine and my girlfriend's standards! It looked like it had just been redone and was beautiful. Overall I'd say it was a 7.5 out of 10.
friendly staff and good room ”
there is water leakage on the first night and immediately we change to another room on second night staff members are so responsive
Clean hotel. Great staff who are very informed and a hotel that is on the sea front that does not coat the earth. Very impressed.
great location but a bit noisy”
The staff are friendly. However, my room was not cleaned every day. I am actually conscious about changes in towels and bedsheets for environmental considerations so I don't mind if I need to re-use the towels for another day. I noticed that the bins are emptied on daily basis but the cups were not cleaned in the four nights that I stayed. I stayed in the newly-renovated rooms and was told that they are better than the old rooms. It is however, noisy. There was a hen-party on my last night and I could hear guests shouting on the hall after 2AM and probably also because it was Friday night the streets below was busier than the three previous nights. I could hear all the noise of drunk party-goers until around 4AM.
Great location for the full brighton experience”
Great location right in the heart of Brighton. Great views of the seafront. Hotel was very clean and tidy, with towels and bedding changed regularly. However, the fabric and furnishings could do with a bit of TLC - pealing paint, burn marks from an iron on the carpet and furniture a bit beaten up from use. We requested a double room and got a triple! But did get the seaview we requested. Therefore the room we had definitely not for romance, with the sloping floor one bed on the slope and the other in the dip lol, a source of amusement for our stay. Having said all that you get what you pay for and at only for the room per night, we can't complain too much.
