Excellent stay”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle-by Rydges. Arrived and used valet parking. Our room was ready and clean tidy and we had a large balcony with seats and table to enjoy outside time. The beds were comfortable and so was the pillows. The bathroom was of a decent size but the only negative was you had to stand in the bath and reach around a glass partition to reach the shower thus getting wet before you wanted too. The pressure in the shower was fantastic. We ate at The Ball & Chain as well as had coffee at the bar. We had breakfast and there was a vast array of choices. We attended a function upstairs and the food was very tasty. We joined the Priority Club and we enjoyed it so much we will stay at one of their hotels again.
Dear Maureen, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. I am so pleased to read such positive feedback about your recent stay with us. I'm glad you got to utilise the Priorty Membership, it has so many great bonuses! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Fantastic Location, Great Staff”
We spent 3 nights at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle, and were so happy that we could walk to just about everything, including the train station for places that were a bit further out. The hotel itself shows its age, but the rooms are nicely appointed. The bed was a little soft for me, but I did appreciate a wide variety of pillows to choose from. The pool is very small, which didn’t really matter because the weather was quite chilly. The concierge was always helpful, and they have loads of great advice for things to do and see. One frustration was that everything had a price, was an add-on: breakfast, bottles of water were 2-for-$6 AUD, quite expensive. They have a nice program where you earn $20 for every day you don’t have your towels or sheets changed. So we splurged for the buffet breakfast, and discovered espresso/cappuccino was an additional $4.50! (The instant coffee in the room was quite bad, but there are lots of cafes within walking distance.) The buffet was just OK - big enough, but the food wasn’t anything special. All in all, prices are high in Western Australia, and this location makes it a good deal. We would stay here again.

The room and the bathroom are huge. The station is jsut 10-15 mins away from the hotel.Great places to wine and dine around teh hotel.Loved our stay in Perth.

Perfect location, housekeeping needs improvement ”
Excellent location: walking distance to fremantle market, esplanade harbour, fisherman's harbour and train station. Room was spacious enough with a balcony. The concierge is very helpful. Gave suggestions about the possible day trips from fremantle and even offered to print my boarding pass for no extra charge!! Only down side is that housekeeping is poor. Room not properly cleaned and tidied. I expected more from a 4-star hotel.
Dear Evelyn, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. I am so pleased to read such positive feedback about your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Fremantle Icon”
We were stuck in Perth over Christmas. Booking at the Fremantle Esplanade was a clever decision. A hotel full of character in a district full of delights. Friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable room at a good price.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Impressive.Can not fault the service”
We were all impressed by the friendly, prompt service provided by all staff. The hotel is centrally located and most attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. Food is top quality and cleanliness immaculate. The Esplanade is a Fremantle historic icon and this is upheld by the service and quality provided during our stay.
Dear Claire-Marie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Convenient and perfect with young children and elderly”
Best part is that the hotel is clean, well maintained and great location. It is just across esplanade park where you can reach Little Creatures and the Fish and Chips restaurants at the fishing harbour with a short walk. Free CAT bus service bus stop is just diagonally across tge road, making it really eaay to travel around in Fremantle. we didnt need a car even though we were travelling with a 22 months old and 4 year old boys and 2 elderly.
Dear Shirley, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. We are very lucky to be situated across from the Esplanade Park, comes in very handy during the school holidays for families away from home. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Will Barrett Duty Manager
Comfortable though pricey hotel”
This is a most excellent hotel if we disregard the price. I got a "deal" here that did not include breakfast and that was very pricey. However, it is centrally located between the Fremantle pier restaurants at the front and the Fremantle market / restaurant street behind. Definitely one of the better hotels in the are. Just don't be fooled by the picture of the swimming pool. It is a lot more "humble" in real life.
Dear Roy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Excellent Location and Service”
We stayed here at the end of a road trip around SW Australia, and really enjoyed our stay. The location cannot be beat - walking distance to just about everything in Fremantle, including the ferry to Rottnest Island. (The concierge was helpful in planning that trip.) Also rode the train into Perth to run an errand, and it was very easy. Loads of great restaurants nearby, including "cappuccino row". Also a 3-screen movie theater just around the corner. One down side is that the pool is quite small, which was OK for our visit as it was a bit rainy and chilly. The staff were wonderful. There was a coin laundry machine across from our room. Bed was very comfortable.
Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Will Barrett Duty Manager
Central location and good for a short visit”
I enjoyed staying in the heart of Fremantle since we weren't hiring a car as we were only in Perth for 4 days... Restaurants and sights are all nearby. Staff were happy to take care of our luggage before check-in and I think we were upgraded to a pool-facing room with a balcony... Our only complaints would be that housekeeping didn't clean our rooms before our last night there and the fire alarm went off at midnight when we were sound asleep. Reception desk said it was a false alarm when we went downstairs. Otherwise, the reception staff are very nice and friendly during the duration of our stay.
Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Will Barrett Duty Manager
Great hotel with classical architecture”
Nice hotel with great amenities. Within walking distance to Cicerello's fish and chips and the famous Fremantle markets. Accessible to the Esplanade park and for those with cars, you can park at the nearby Esplanade car park at per day. Unfortunately, the hotel only provides valet parking at around per day. The public parking is safe and open.
Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Stunning Historic Hotel, Gorgeous Pool & Gardens”
very nice classy hotel in a great location in historic fremantle. privately owned this hotel offers a pleasant change with obvious attention to detail. the hotel grounds were stunning and with a short stroll to beach, harbour and city centre - we had an absolutely fantastic stay. most rooms have a good sized outdoor balcony and offer views of either 2 swimming pools with some facing adjoining street. this hotel also has 3 outdoor spas and a sauna with the grounds being very well maintained. i would highly recommend a weekend of pampering or a holiday in style and with so many restaurants, the markets and plenty of shopping a great stay can be had by all.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Stayed 3 nights...lovely location”
We stayed three nights with a spare bed for our son. Room was clean and tidied up daily. The location cannot be beat, right opposite Esplanade Park and a short 5-min walk to Fremantle Markets. We loved the little cafes and nooks discovered around the surrounding streets. Pricey but I would stay here again as the location is fabulous.

Nice hotel in a good location”
The location is superb, shot walk from jetty and main street, markets. great location to explore Fremantle. Nice interior with big open food area as you walk in. Long walk to room but it's acceptable.Comfy rooms,well-kept. Breakfast was very nice, great selection, happy with the taste too. Checkout was a bit slow, but no real issues. Overall a great place to stay, would stay there again if I come back to Perth in future years.

Excellent”
The location of the hotel is good as a base to explore Fremantle town. It is within walking distance to the Esplanade with eateries (good fish and chip) and the Fremantle market. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel with free Blue Cat bus that goes to different parts of Fremantle. Room is clean and staff is friendly and helpful.

Lovely stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Room is clean and spacious for two. Good location where easily access to Fremantle Prison, Fremantle market, esplanade park and eatery places.

Best Location and a beautiful hotel”
Its the best location in Fremantle and will for sure be back. We got there early from our drive over from Perth. Had a drive around looking for a place to park and then check in but that is nigh on impossible in Fremantle! But don't worry just put your car in the valet service and they will put it in their car park. Can't remember exactly how much but was actually pleasantly surprised by the price. Everything is walkable so it can just be left there with no issues. Pool looked a bit sorry for itself but wasn't too fussed as there is pleanty to do and see around Fremantle

3D2N Fremantle adventure”
Our 2 nights stay at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle was really comfortable. And the check-in and check-out process was fast. However, the valet parking fee was ridiculously expensive. It costs AUD 29.50 per night and I was wondering why isn't the parking provided for free for hotel guests. Also, I was issued 2 room cards upon checking in, however only 1 of the cards (for my room)can be used. Was issued a new pair of room cards for usage after giving the reception a call. However, only 1 of the newly issued cards can be used as well. Perhaps in the future, the receptionist should check if the cards can be used before issuing them to the guests. Was given the ground level room facing the street and I was glad that my sleep was undisturbed at night. But do remember to lock the balcony door before leaving the room. Location is great, less than 10 mins walk to the MUST-GO Fremantle Market and Cappuccino Strip. Hotel staff was polite especially the asian looking valet parking driver. He was really helpful with the directions. Thumbs up for his service! I will definitely stay here again! :)
Dear Chrystia, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
Festival in Freo”
We've booked a room here so we can spend time in Fremantle for street art festival. We've stayed here before and were very impressed by everything. We're still very impressed after this time around. Good size room, comfortable king bed, nice big spa, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was just so comfortable to stay here and we will definitely be staying here again. p.s. we didn't use much of other facilities at the hotel so we'll regretfully be a little reserve and give 4 stars at this stage.
Dear Phailin, Thank you for the great review of our hotel. I am so pleased to read such positive feedback about your stay with us and that you have stayed with us before. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Sarah Begbie Duty Manager
