Great private place”

Spacious rooms, nice decor, all bungallows sea view and large private balcony, well maintained grounds, a bit it the middle of nowhere but it was ok for us as we were happy to enjoy the privacy. We were the only guests and didnt mind it at all, kitchen was on standby anytime we decided to eat :) nice staff

Not suitable for solo travellers”

A good hotel. Nice rooms and setting, but very far away. More suitable for families and several travelling together. Perfect if you want a remote resort type of feeling, but not suitable if you want to go into town regularly or do other activities without paying to get there. Staff was really nice

Trust the negative review! This place ain't worth your money.”

The staff was lovely. Having restaurant at a hotel was nice because you pretty much isolated and have no other choice for food. HOWEVER, The hotel was poorly maintained. Private beach was not that nice. Not sure if its because the low season but I was the only guest for the entire place. Feels a bit ghostly haunted. Sorry but I will not go back for sure.

The restaurant is not available midday, "sold out" a frequent replay to orderings. The bungalows are aged, the Moskitonets don't serve, ours was too dirty to use by the way, blood of smashed moskitoes everywhere. Hot water is rare and lasts for 20 seconds. The beach is dirty, no body cleans it. Friendly stuff who try to do a good job - not their fault. Could be very nice with more attention on maintaining. As it is, it's too expensive by far and not what you expect - it's a homestay and should cost about 30 euros a night.

Best of the Beach....With no Competition isn't hard”

Ary's is located on the most beautiful beach in Karimunjawa. It has great access to the islands for snorkeling and epic views to calm anyone's stressed out lifestyle. The hotel itself isn't well maintained. We've stayed a few times and with each stay we see the level of poor maintenance even more clearly. The staff is kind and sweet but not proactive; whether this is due to laziness (doubtful) or poor training and discipline (most likely) is anyone's guess. But it does become somewhat painful if you stay here for more than a day or two. Good news for Ary's is that right now there is no competition other than mattress on the floor local homestays...at least within a 30 minute motor bike drive...So if you want to stay on this beach (which you should) and you want to be in Kemojaan area (which you should) then Ary's is the only place for a somewhat up-market room....Aircon for 12 hours (the night) makes for a distinct luxury when it is hot and still on the beach. So while I wish they would get their ____ together and learn some hotel management discipline, the fact is that the location is great and a few minutes a day of micro management can make sure the room gets tidied.

Arys lagoon is just perfect!! The bungalows are on a small beach, really nice bedroom! Food is awesome, and service perfect!! I would definitely go back there and recommend this hotel if you are looking for calm, peaceful place!

Nice rooms, bad location and poorly trained staff”

Karimun Jawa itself is awesome. It is definitely worth seeing. However there are far better places to stay, closer to the harbour, far cheaper and more interesting. Arys has got some potential. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing to do there and you are very much isolated from the rest of the island. That is the main problem.

Pre- organised ferry tickets and transfer from ferry to hotel which never materialised. Organised ourselves with great difficulty as hotel in remote area. Room price was 110 USD per night for bungalow. The standard of room was not reflected in price. Air conditioning wasn't working making sleeping impossible as provided with heavy duvet. No curtains on outer doors so no privacy. Issues with running water and at one stage no water. Room could have been cleaner, dead Mosquitos and dust. Construction site next door and rubbish on beach. Hotel website advertise diving and snorkeling. I wanted to scuba dive but was told by staff that they could not arrange. We enjoyed a day snorkelling but even then they did not have sizes of fins to suit. Food was sub standard for what I would expect for what they advertise. We were very disappointed and felt deceived, however staff great and offered free dinner in an effort to compensate but unfortunately this was inadequate. We have stayed in much nicer for much less in Indonesia and the standard here does not correlate with the price.

Nice Getaway”

We were in fact the very first guests there. An unique experience! You will come there for snorkeling and diving: the reef is about 500 meters to swim. The bungalows are nice and clean, the thick blanket is not necessary since the aircon is fighting in vain against the heat... ;-). In Thailand you would stay in a place like this for a third of the regular price, but: you wouldn't get the pioneer spirit of Anto and his crew!

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einem wunderschönen Privatstrand. Man kann Touren direkt im Hotel buchen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Danke

wir waren die einzigen Gäste, trotzdem war das Personal unaufmerksam. Fließend Wasser im Bungalow war erst auf Nachfrage verfügbar,die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher waren dreckig, hatten Flecken! Abendessen und Frühstück wurde frisch für uns zubereitet und war sehr lecker! Lage des Arys ist super!

Perfektes Hide Away”

Bis in die Stadt fährt man mit dem Scooter 30 min. Das Außenriff ist ca. 500m entfernt. Bei gutem Wetter kann man durch die Lagune bis zur Riff -Einfahrt schnorcheln und am Außenriff viel entdecken. Die Bungalows sind einfach aber sehr hübsch gemacht. Das Personal sehr nett. Die Küche ist gut, aber wenig abwechslungsreich. Nach 3 Tagen fährt man freiwillig in die Stadt.

Kleines verstecktes Paradies”

Sehr tolles Hotel. Wir hatten ein Bungalow, was einem die nötige Privatsphäre gibt (eigener Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer). Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel. Das Zimmer war ziemlich sauber (etwas sandig in den Ecken aber völlig OK). Da das Bad vom Schlafzimmer durch eine Wand getrennt ist und es im Bad und Eingangsbereich das Dach zur Wand nicht bündig ist, muss man mit Mücken (sehr viele), Ameisen und Spinnen in diesen Bereichen rechnen. Der Schnorcheltrip ist sehr zu empfehlen. Bei Fragen hilft das Personal sehr gerne weiter.

the place to be!! vous rêvez d'être seul au monde sur une île paradisiaque ?? alors cette hôtel bungalow est le lieu idéal !! accueil familiale, plage pour petite mais privative, le personnel est à vos petits soin!!! attention lieu difficile à trouvé et accès par une piste mais cela protège le lieu du béton commercial !!

Desconnexión total a unos 25min en moto del puerto, la localización es perfecta para disfrutar de sus vistas, playas del este y de su comida. Personal muy atento y pendiente de cualquier detalle. Magnífico lugar, dudamos que haya sitio mejor en toda la isla.

Karimunjawa un paradiso”

Sono stata 2 notti in questo Hotel, decisamente fuorimano rispetto al porto ma e' ubicato su di una baya stupenda. Camere decenti. Pulizia media, non mi hanno cambiato gli asciugamani ne' le lenzuola. Dalle 6 la mattina fino alle 6 la sera non c'e' corrente elettrica. Il problema e' che non hanno wifi e la linea internet dei telefoni locali e' veramente scarsa. Un ottimo posto per alloggiare "fuori dal mondo"
