Erittäin mielenkiintoinen, rauhallinen paikka.”
Mielenkiintoinen. Hotelli on vanhanaikainen, mutta toimiva. Meille tarjottiin mahdollisuutta kahden yön jälkeen vaihtaa Chitchareune Mouang Villaan Unescon suojelualueelle. Villa oli vielä rauhallisempi kuin hotelli.
Hyvä vastine rahalle. Siisti huone ja allas”
This hotel has a very distinctive architectural style that is quite grand, which belies its very quiet and homey atmosphere. The rooms are very good quality and the service is very friendly. While it is not in the 'centre' of Luang Prabang's tourist area, it is a pleasant walk away, and the local neighbourhood is still very interesting. I would stay here again.
Very charming hotel. Nice big room, though there was a misunderstanding when we booked, for 2 adults and three children 8 and under. We arrived in a room with one double bed and one single extra bed, whereas I thought there would be a sofa bed for 2 of our children. We had to request 2 extra beds, that at first the hotel wanted to charge us 25$ per night. In the end the hotel agreed to give us these beds “for free”. Nice swimming pool, nice smiling staff. Breakfast a bit boring and the same every day, which is ok if you stay for 2-3 days but we stayed 9 nights. We were 2 families and had a great holiday, would definitely recommend this hotel
Expensive hotel-I paid for buffet breakfast-as I was the only guest there was no buffet and I was offered a VERY small omelette and a plate of bread (I do not eat bread)-I complained so the next day a breakfast was made for me. However, for the price I paid the buffet breakfast should have been presented. There were also other issues.
This is a classic hotel and they already upgraded. Great location, friendly staff.
This hotel is about a 10min walk from the centre of town and as it was water festival fun & chaos when I was there, it was perfect to be able to get away from it. I was upgraded to the most beautiful suite, on 2 levels. with spa downstairs and bedroom and ensuite upstairs with lovely balcony.Restaurant food was excellent Laotian food and staff were really helpful. Swimming pool is small but lovely and the surrounding grounds are lovely.
Lovely relaxing place to stay”
We did everything we wanted in Luang Prabang and then came here to rest and chill by the pool. It was lovely, the pool was great and the rooms lovely. Lady as reception was very helpful and could speak English. Nice to chill out for a couple of days yet loacted close enough to get the the main street for the night market,
I felt it is over priced. We wanted a pool but the whole area smelt of dog poo, so put us off spending time there. The breakfast is poor if it is meant to be 4 star. So , yes it is nice but I feel overpriced
Nice clean hotel in good spot ”
Had no real probs but some mornings the breakfast was cold. And sometimes the hot water run out. Def not 4 star. Lao is a little more expensive than we thought but loved Luang Prabang. You can do it cheap if you want. Great baguettes (with great fillings) for 10 000 kip on the Main Street. And off the Main Street when the night markets are on, you can pay 50 000 kip for all you can eat. Or spend some bucks and eat at some lovely high end places
A little bit overrated”
In general, it was a quite good staying, but I think it's overrated like other hotels in Laos. Very poor, was the quality of the breakfast ( perhaps because it's out of the season, but it should not ). Some people speaks good English, but most of them don't understand.
Disappointed, but ok”
It was ok. I was disappointed in the breakfast, perhaps if there had been more guests there would have been more selection. I thought it was closer to the Old town than it was. It more expensive than it should be for what it offered. No hot pot in the room to make coffee.
Lovely Lao Style Hotel-Caring & Wonderful Staff”
My review is tempered by the fact that my husband became quite ill just as we arrived in Luang Prabang. Our room was at the front of the building, and there was a small amount of street noise when children arrived at the school across the street. Otherwise, the hotel location was quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious, clean and nicely maintained, with a good bath room containing a huge tub and excellent hot water shower. The breakfast was not as expansive as some, but they offered eggs prepared as ordered, plus fruit, bread, cereal, etc. Where this hotel really stood out was in the care we received when I reported that we needed medical help. The hotel provided a driver to take us to the hospital and back 3 times at no charge to us. When we returned, several staff, including the manager rushed out offering tea, and whatever we might need. I was most touched and impressed by their help. We were able to have laundry done at the hotel for a fair price. I was able to walk to the night market and Joma cafe for sandwiches while my husband slept at the hotel. I was grateful for the care we received and the attitude our comfort and health was a priority for them.
Nice quiet location.”
The hotel was about 10 min walk away from the main shopping district in town. The city is very quiet and this hotel is on a very quiet street. Most things around the hotel closed around 9pm. They were still working on the hotel addition when I stayed but I hardly noticed. There wasn't much additional noise that i noticed but I was out and about most of the day anyways. The pool is not heated so it was very cold in Jan but i can see it being put to good use in July. The breakfast at the hotel was very poor quality. You are better off walking down to the main strip and grabbing some food from a street vendor.
Clean, nice pool, quiet area”
The room was lovely and big and clean. The view was of a wall but the windows were big. The staff didn't make any special effort with us but did with the other (more wealthy looking guests). The pool was lovely. The bathroom smelt really bad without the fan on (not because of us!) The other review we made of this hotel was actually for the Banas Plain of Jars hotel so please ignore the comments-they don't make sense.
Very nice staff, clean, spacious room”
The staff were so lovely and helpful. They try really hard to communicate well and don't pressure you into going on any tours. We hired bicycles and reached the plain of jars, town centre and museum very easily on these. You can walk to town centre in ten minutes if you want western food. noodles and soup served on the doorstep (not literally).
Comfortable and affordable”
Though the hotel is not next to the main street, it is just 10 minutes walk to get to the main attractions such as temples, restaurants and shops.... further 5 minutes more, you have the Mekong river. The place is not new but well maintained and they are improving some parts.
Very nice hotel with a pool ”
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel mainly because of the pool which is wonderful to jump in after a long hot day. The staff were very attentive and helped us with the minor issues that came up during our stay. There are many much better value locations to stay in LPB though. We moved to another villa after a week here and had a bigger room with better wifi and two beds that was located right in the city center. I would suggest looking around for a nice guest house or villa if you will be here for more than a few days, you can always go swimming at this hotel even if you aren't a guest for $4 per person. Our new hotel was 1/3 the cost of this hotel.
Very comfortable place to stay, 5 minutes from night market and can walk to just about anything within 10-minutes. Standard Laos breakfast-not amazing, but will hold you over to lunch.:)Rooms are comfortable...the pool was my favorite part. So nice to come back at the end of a hot day and jump in!
We had a great time here! Location was fantastic, we could walk everywhere within about 20 minutes. Breakfast was varied and fresh. The pool is clean if however a little cold! Rooms were large and clean and quiet at night! We would stay here again!
