Budget hotel”

Pros: central city location, good chinese breakfast, staff helpful, washing machine, surrounded by eateries, near liuhe nite market, easy to find hotel, fridge, hot and cold water dispenser. Cons: corridor noisy, wall thin, bed hard, wish aircond a few deg c lower, everything old but functioning. You get what you paid. Only USD17. For us, if in KS, will come back again.

Professional Staff”

Hotel located at good location near train station. While deco is retro and facilities lacking the staff are most helpful and professional with integrity. Will certainly stay at same hotel for future visit.

Good place to stay. The hotel is very near from Formosa Boulevard Station, about 10-15 minute walk. The free breakfast is all you can eat. So kudos to that. The personnel are very friendly but cannot speak English so a little Google Translate will help. They offer free laundry in Basement 2. You can borrow umbrella from the hotel if it rains.

Impolite staff ( or owner?) - inappropriate for international traveller”

We booked two nights on Agoda and then extend for 1 more night directly in the hotel. We paid 1099 NT for the extra night. We gave the money for a staff who can speak English with us. However, in the check out day other staff ( look like the owner) informed us that, we haven't pay the money yet because she can not find our name in the list. She could not speak English, and there is no staff can speak English at that moment so it was so hard for us to explain for her. Then she asked us how much we did pay, and we said that 1099 NT. Then she told us that we need to pay 1299 and she she showed suspicion to us that we didn't pay the money so we didn't know how much was for one night. And she keep showed an unpleasant attitude to us until she confirmed that her staff was wrong. But she still asked us for extra 200 NT. We was in hurry for the coming train so we had no way except giving her the money. She finally didn't say sorry or any kind attitude to us.

Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, except an old lady housekeeper who was rude, spoke to me in local dialet (not Mandarin) which I don't understand, and told the young lady housekeeper not to help me with my request for more clothes hanger. Room is clean, cigarette smell, furnishings a little old and worn and bathroom a little cramp. WIFI signal is good. Breakfast is porridge with Taiwanese pickled vegetables, pork floss and dried fish, steamed buns, bread and toasts, coffee and juice. French fries and chicken nuggets runs out very quickly and were not replenished. Ice cream and coffee is available all day.

Old facility hotel”

Spacious room with large flat screen TV, strong WiFi signal, lighting at right position (just above writing table and toilet mirror), a big sofa and coffee table. Supplied breakfast has congee with dishes, bread with jam, ice cream and sometimes has fruit (water melon). All facilities are out-dated and worn out. The bath has no shower curtain and so the toilet floor will be wet after a bath. The room cleaning condition is just average and the breakfast room has no cleaning at all. Few hour stay in this hotel is welcome.

I think it is a love hotel”

The hotel has plenty of condoms to offer but not a single city map or any tourist information. In our room there is a free condom on the desk and I think there are at least two condom vending machines on our floor (did not walk the whole corridor to count). Did not bother to check other floors. We always saw the room cleaner cleaning rooms one after another.

I really enjoy staying here, the price is not too expensive, the room is good with all the things you need, the breakfast is good, eventhough I am semi-vegan, still there is something to eat, like bread, orange juice, and the place is near the bus stop, you only need to walk about 1 minit, for train station (kaohsiung main station) you only need to walk about 8 minits.

good location and affordable”

This is not a hotel to start with, it is a motel instead. The room is not fantastic is like red light district motel. On promotion pricing is a good call else do not consider. For a one or two night stay is still bearable, i feel is a bit dusty.

Goshen Hotel”

My friend and I shared a room here and we were very surprised to find stuff on the counter. When we turned on the tv there was lots of program which was also shocking. not a cheap, clean, bacpackpacker type place that we were hopibg for.
