So good we booked to stay longer ”
It is the most wonderful tranquil Oasis in the middle of a busy city. The swimming pool is beautiful surrounded by trees and the staff are always smiling and extremely helpful. Would recommend it to everybody. Large bedrooms huge bed and good size shower room
Lovely peaceful oasis, very nice pool setting and staff were very nice and helpful, One of the on site tuk tuk drivers picked us up from the airport and took us around sites for 2 days at reasonable charge of around 15 dollars a day. The rooms were lovely with nice balcony with a massive bed ! We would happily return.
Wonderful staff, beautiful garden, nice swimming pool area. All in all good experience!”
The location is good for visiting the temples, as it’s a shorter ride than from the city centre. Although to get to the centre you need to pick up a tuktuk, but they are very cheap and easy to get so that was ok for us! The staff was extremely polite and friendly. Helpful - they organized us a tuktuk driver for the temples and gave us a to-go breakfast when we went to see sunrise. Pool area is nice and clean and you get fresh towels every day. They also provided plenty of free water which was great. Wifi doesn’t really worked in our room, only on the terrace and in the common area. Free massage wasn’t good at all, we booked one at 8 pm and the lady giving it seemed to be very tired and not in the mood to give one at all. That was the only little minus but hey it was free so i guess can’t complain. The area is pretty quiet, only sometimes the street dogs can get very loud and woke us up at night. But that’s not hotels fault. All in all we had a really nice stay!
Comfy stay in Siem Reap”
Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Gorgeous garden setting. Quiet neighborhood. A bit of a walk from the center but a few great restaurants very close by. Delicious breakfast overlooking the garden and pool. Spacious rooms with all the amenities.
good place to stay”
very quite close to the city and to Angkor. staff is very helpfull and speak great English. restaurant is not bad at all. swimming pool is nice. very silent area and you can enjoying the evening out of your room in the garden.
Will choose this Hotel again!”
This hotel is far better than we expected! First of all, the location is good with only 10 mins tu-tu car to pub street. Also, the hotel is with clean swimming pool, delicious breakfast, green atmosphere and helpful staffs. What's more, the hotel is not expensive at all as it's difficult to find such a lovely and natural vila in Cambodia with such a cheap price! We cherish the day while staying in the hotel, and we would like to thank again to all the staffs in this hotel:)
Oasis in the heat of Siem Reap”
We had a restful three days at Borann, enjoying retreating to the clean, saltwater pool in the heat of the day as a respite from the heat of temp,e visits. The bungalows were simple but comfortable, the bathroom also simple but clean and the staff were extremely helpful, making bookings for us and proving help with transport and local advice. Breakfast in the garden restaurant was generous serves and even when we left very early on our last morning, we had fresh warm croissants to take on our boat trip. We would recommend Borann as a stop slightly away from the main activity of the town but as a simple and pretty place to unwind and recharge.
Oasis in Siem Reap”
borann hotel is the perfect choice if you need a nice and quiet vacation.the garden and the pool were a true satisfaction after exhausted trips to the angkors. the room is clean, spacious, decorated in the traditional style. the staff are all friendly and enthusiastic.
This hotel design is quite old. However it is beautiful, i especially love the tropical trees and plants. The pool is small but it's ok. The hotel is located in a quiet area which is actually nice, but i personally prefer areas closer to the city center. When i walked back to the hotel at 1 am, the street was really dark. But otherwise it's a good location. Breakfast was kinda disappointing though... They served only eggs ( cooked in a few ways) with bread and mostly tasted bland.
Peace and quite”
I arrived very late due to a flight delay. This caused no problems. I was placed at a table and fed fresh fruit and tea while the staff took care of the check in process for me. Afterwards I was led through a beautiful mini jungle to my room. The room was very clean and comfortable. No dirt or insects, this is very special in Cambodia because ants are everywhere here. The staff was wonderful, friendly and truly cared about each guest. Breakfast was delicious; bacon, eggs, potatoes and French baguette with fresh fruit preserves. The only complaint that I could possibly make is that the water pressure is low in the shower. All things considered I happily rate SiZen at 9.5 out of 10
Good location; not part of the row of hotels between town and the airport. Very clean. Polite, pleasant, helpful staff. Our room quite noisy-barking dogs all night.
very pleasure time in Sizen”
We booked two rooms in Sizen, we are very enjoy the upstair rooms, the staff is very friendly, and the restaurant taste good.
Warm welcome, friendly, tranquil, lovely food, nothing is any trouble, delightful!”
Stayed here on 3 separate occasions during my 2 week stay in Cambodia. Every time it felt like I was going ‘home’. I’d definitely return...lots of people do! It’s within easy walk of the night market and pub street and costs just 2 dollars by Tuk Tuk. They pick you up from the airport for free too...so reliable...and will drive you back for just 5 dollars. Can’t recommend it enough!
Quiet, friendly, relaxing, comfortable.....paradise.”
We were greeted by a wonderful Tuk Tuk driver at Siem Reap airport to take us to our hotel. All the staff warmly welcomed us. Our room was beautiful....beds sooo comfortable, choice of washing the Khemer way or showering. Wonderful pool...sprinkled with bougainvillea...so clean and surrounded by comfortable chairs. Food delicious. Would recommend the Amok with chicken. If you’re looking for a tranquil place with smiley staff, a dining area surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and birds singing...this is the place for you. Would highly recommend it!
Nice and quiet hotel close to downtown”
This is a great hotel that has all the basic features. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Even though it is close to downtown attractions, about 1km (ie. Night Market, Pub Street), the hotel is very quiet, so sleeping past sunrise is no problem. Not even any cockerels screaming. The pool is a very welcome option for a nice cool down, and is very well kept.
Absolutely wonderful staff, the best we ran across throughout Cambodia. When we left after 6 days, they presented us with gifts and requested selfies, which we were very happy to take. The room was comfortable, although a bit more light would have been nice. The bathroom was simple but adequate. The pool and restaurant areas were absolutely the star of the show, a great place to hang out although perhaps some mosquito deterrent would elevate it to the next level.
Excellent Comfort and Charm”
Fantastic place! My favorite after more than a month touring SE Asia. It’s in an idyllic tropical setting off the main streets. The hotel has both comfort and character. The things you want to be modern are modern and then there are lots of traditional Khmer touches that add charm. The pool is great, the beds are comfortable, there’s both air conditioning and cool overhead fans. There’s a conventional shower (British style) and a cool Khmer “shower”. Our room had a patio overlooking the garden. Then there is an outdoor restaurant serving good food--breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as drinks at reasonable prices. The staff are amazingly helpful and kind. They fixed us up with a great TukTuk driver (Mr Seth) who took us to the temples for 3 days straight and gave us a great experience. The Khmer massage at the spa was excellent. This hotel checked all the boxes for me! And no TV!
a relaxing country place ”
pros: clean and nice room, country like, vue on a relaxing garden, quiet, very nice staff cons: not really have, but no tv, no modern equipment, but that give charm. i higly recommand the place, but if u are tv addict, or u like modern place, swap
Very clean and well-appointed rooms, extremely sweet and helpful staff, quiet location still close to everything. Great drivers and decent restaurant too. Only very minor suggestions for improvement - more outlets and more light. Would stay here again without hesitation.
Very affordable and beautiful boutique hotel.”
Very nice and quiet room. Ceiling fan and air conditioner work well. Staff are very good and friendly. We booked our Angkor Wat tour through them when arrived, which is advisable to protect from scams. Regardless be aware Siem Reap is all about tourism and in fact too much for my liking. All services and products are quite expensive and priced in US dollars. I would characterize Siem Reap as a "Wild West Tourist Town". I probably will not visit Siem Reap again for a very long time. Nevertheless I do recommend SiZen highly if you are in Siem Reap.
I really enjoyed my stay at SiZen. Set in lush gardens the place is a relaxing retreat after a hot sweaty day exploring the temples of Angkor. I loved the rooms here, the staff were friendly and organised a tuk-tuk for me to see the local sights. Great value for money and the pool is another bonus! Highly recommend!
Lovely green city hideaway”
We had a lovely stay at SiZen. The ladies on reception during the day were a delight and it was exceptional value for money. My only comment would be to improve the service at night and not to play loud dance music!
I had the most amazing time here at SiZen! The rooms are beautiful, the beds are amazingly comfortable, and you don't want for anything! The pool is so refreshing after a day at Angkor Wat, and the restaurant also makes things convenient. There is a bit of a ride to the main parts of town, but its a $2 tuktuk ride so it's not too bad. But the best part of this resort is the staff! They greeted us with cold drinks and snacks after arriving and were so helpful and attentive, booking us tours and answering all of our questions. I can't recommend this place enough, and I can't wait to come back!
Great small hotel with only 20 rooms, very clean & comfortable. Lovely tropical garden setting. We liked it so much we stayed here twice during our trip. Great value, delicious breakfast & friendly staff.
Hidden Pearl in Cambodia”
We extended our stay by three more nights because we could not find anything remotely better for the same price. The rooms were perfectly clean. Big Plus is the bathroom with its floor of natural stone and the refreshing khmer tub. Staff was very friendly and helpdul. Our little boy (18 months) loved them! English was no problem. They also provided all tours for standard prices with a very nice and reliable driver. The Pool was very warm but clean. Breakfast was delicious. Our boy got his own fruit plate every morning! The lush green garden provided shade and relief from the hot day in the city and the temples. Perfect place for families with children. We would come back any time.
Clean, and comfortable ”
The room was very clean and the bathroom large. The Khmer shower was a nice local novelty, and I enjoyed the bedtime stories provided. The room could use a bar fridge in it to keep the water cold and for travelers' medications. The room air con shuts off when you leave the room, so the room heats up a fair bit. It should also be noted that the hotel seems to have two names or it has changed its name to SiZen resort and spa (although spa services are not yet provided - they advertise them in the lobby, but they aren't actually providing them yet)
Oasis of calm”
Borann is a hidden jewel amid the hectic of Siem Reap, with a quiet lovingly maintained shady garden. There is a nice clean well-kept saltwater pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. The upper level rooms have a nice view of the garden and more privacy, but might not be suitable for families with small children or anyone unsteady on their feet because of the steep staircase.
Pleasant hotel with a lovely garden and swimming pool. Quiet location off the main road but still accessible to everything. Helpful and friendly staff (English and /or French speaking). Suitable for families with young children (ground floor room is better to avoid climbing stairs).
The Borann is well located and very quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Rooms are authentic, have charm and are of good quality. Garden and Pool are just great - a little paradise. Prices are reasonable. Very recommendable.
lovely and relaxing ”
We loved our stay at Borann and will definitely stay here again on next trip to Siem Reap. We stayed in a second floor room. there are very steep steps up to second floor. If you are staying with young children you should request a ground floor. It surprising how quiet it is considering the location in the city. We enjoyed the included breakfast. You could order it the night before for a certain time and it would be ready soon after you came down for breakfast. It was extremely hot while we were in Siem Reap and we appreciated the Khmer type "shower "(basically large vase filled with water that you pour over you). The bathrooms also have a regular type hot shower - however the pressure was not that great.. Maybe I wasn't working it right but once i discovered how to wash the Khmer way I didn't try the Western shower again. Take note that their website is out of date in terms of price for hiring a car/driver with a trip to the airport. So send them an email and confirm the prices if you need that service. Staff was very accommodating and attentive and answered my emails promptly. They allowed a late check out - we were there during low season. There were two twin beds in our room and there were 3 of us. The twin was big enough for my 9 year old and I to share a bed. Overall a really great stay.
Delightful place, stayed an extra week”
Have visited Siem Reap a couple of times over the years and the Borann made this perhaps the best visit. Its down a quiet lane and set in a beautiful compound. The staff is friendly and well trained. The French owner is very out-going but not always around. He is a long time resident of Cambodia who does many good works for Cambodian children in country and around the world. The Borann looks like a great place for families with kids of all ages. Nice garden and good pool for after-ruin relaxation. On-site restaurant is great if you want to stay in for a night. You are a very short tuk-tuk ride from the restaurant area SR, and within a short walk of some other good restaurants, the river and the central park. The ruins ticket entrance is about 10 mins away. Breakfast was good (baguette, croissant, homemade jam, good coffee, omelet/fried eggs, fruit plate and juice) and you can have it a early as a little after 6 am so you can visit the ruins without buses all over the place. Would definitely stay at the Borann again!
Beautiful, clean surroundings and friendly staff”
We found the friendliness of the staff to be unbeatable. The rooms were clean and fresh and had lots of character. The wooden furniture was beautiful and the food delicious. All of this at a very reasonable price.
Quiet quality place”
Booked for 3 nights but stayed for another three. Pool was fantastic ater a long day at temples. Recommend one day cycling to nearby temples. then tuk-tuk. The Old House restaurant in town is excellent as are many others. Staff extremely nice and friendly.
Peaceful hotel with nice swimming pool.”
It was nice to have a peaceful place to stay after long days of sightseeing. The swimming pool was clean and staff helped me find a good English speaking tour guide for the temples on short notice. Bring bug spray because the hotel is a bit rustic!
Hidden gem, absolute jewel”
This hotel is hidden down a narrow alleyway far from the noise and fray of the center of Siem Reap. It is like walking into a wonderland - gorgeous gardens, pool, beautiful little roms opening onto the gardens, sensational food.
A delightful retreat within hectic Siem Reap”
The week we have stayed in Borann, Auberge des Temples, was a real treat. Only 15-20 minutes walk to the old market and fortunately in a quite area of Siem Reap. A small boutique hotel with good rooms and a veranda, a small, but nice pool and a very friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic setting and superb service”
had a lovely stay here with the staff being amazing throughout. from the moment we arrived and were placed in a twin room which was then changed immediately to a double upon request i felt comfortable with my choice. the garden setting is very tranquil and seems hard to believe that the main road is only 100 yards away down a narrow alley. breakfast is great and the staff were kind enough to allow us to have this on our terrace overlooking the pool. small things like this make such a difference. tuk-tuk drivers are continually available in the courtside adjoining the hotel which is also a great help. a special word for bunna who was a great help with information at all times. a great stay and look forward to returning.
peaceful with lovely garden and pool”
After hot dusty days exploring the temples Borann hotel is a haven of peace and tranquillity with its pool and tropical garden. Staff put themselves out to organise a driver and guide for 3 days (recommended). Make sure you know exactly what the price of these are before you set off as we had a couple of surprises on our return when the guide had not made it clear that we had travelled further therefore should pay more. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood away from the centre but tuk tuks are always available for the short trip to restaurants and markets etc. We would go back to Borann without hesitation and look forward to it.
Friendly, great stay”
The staff could not have been more relaxed ,friendly and accommodating. The jungle garden setting in the centre, with the 2 storey bedroom units surrounding plus the great swimming pool is superb. They arranged to get us a mini bus and driver plus guide so we could organise our own bespoke temple trips as we felt we could not handle the full day tours. Tuk tuks are on hand in the car park of the guest house for 2 Dollars to run you in to the great selection of bars and restaurants in the town, although the food in the guest house in the open air restaurant is good value. We would re-visit tomorrow.
Mediterranian style hotel in lovely garden”
The garden with banana and palm trees and beautiful flowers protects the hotel from the noise and dirt of the nearby city. Garden, pool and flats are kept meticoulously clean. Tiles and interior details remind of Italian or southern French style. Taxis and Tuktuks are easily available. Staff helpful and effective. Service of blind masseurs to the room was provided at short notice.
Great little boutique hotel in Siem Reap”
We has a lovely time at the Borann. It is a garden-like setting with beautifully maintained grounds. It is off the main road which made it really quiet. There is a beautiful pool off the dining area. Very tropical! We were not too successful in getting the hot water to work that well in our room.
Tropical Oasis with a smile”
from the moment we arrived at the hotel i knew i had chosen well. the rooms were generous in size with fan and air conditioning. large bathroom with large feature urns great to rinse off the feet after a day out and about. the staff were very helpful in arranging a tuk tuk driver and tour guide for sightseeing along with an in room massage performed by a local blind massage organisation. i loved it. i loved what this hotel represented and was about giving back to the cambodian people with the staff they hired and the places they supported. i would definitely stay here again. in terms of location that depends on what you are looking for. its a 5 to 10 minute walk to pub street and the night markets or a $1-2us tuk tuk ride. not minding a walk i preferred the quieter location. there was still an abundance of shops, atms and restaurants close to the hotel. the only things i feel could be improved on is that they do not accept credit cards an unusual concept to us western travellers (unless you book with agoda). also i thought the pillows were a bit uncomfortable and would have preferred a doona to the thin blanket. i didn't really use the hairdryer but my travelling companion struggled with that a bit.
An oasis of peace and calm”
The location of Borann is perfect to get direct to the temples way . Fantastic garden where the rooms are, swiming pooll under the queens palms and all types of flowers, the whole hall open air and living room make together this option like the best
Beautiful bungalows and gardens down a quiet lane”
we are so happy that we stayed at borann. the location, set down a quiet lane, was a big plus--we noticed that some of the other similar inns in siem reap were located on busy main roads. it may seem out of the way to some guests, but all of the tuk tuk drivers in town seemed to know the location, so getting in and out was never a problem. the floral landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, and the pool was a huge plus at the end of a long day of hiking around the temples. our room itself was beautiful--we particularly loved the khmer bath in the bathroom and the wedge pillows on the bed that made for a very relaxing nap.
i have been there for 4 days, during the combodian new year. everything is ok except that if we could have a kettle to boil water for tea, everything will be perfect. feel like home, a little far from the wat but near to the wat
Lovely hotel ”
The Boranne was a delight to discover and was in a perfect location just outside the noise and bustle of the centre of Siem Reap. The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms were delightful and the traditional shower was a bonus.
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff”
The hotel was quiet and peaceful, set amongst a beautiful garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is also well within walking distance of the main tourist area. The food from the restaurant is superb if you wish to stay in for the night. The hotel has a fantastic partnership with Krousar Thmey - a local organisation who assist Cambodian children.
A great oasis in the middle of Siem Reap”
it was a really good choice to take this hotel it is very close to ankor and to the city center in a beautiful garten with a nice pool. the rooms are standard rooms but very traditional style, clean and peaceful. the food was great at a reasonable price. we booked a tuck tuck driver directly in the hotel for 3 days to visit ankor at a very good price :-) we can fully recommend to stay in this place
Great service and lovely rooms”
We had very pleasant stay. The staff helped us organize travel and were very friendly. The rooms have very nice Khmer furnishings and vibe, basic yet comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a quite place after hit crowded hours spent visiting Angkor Wat.
exotic and peaceful resort”
a nice environment to live in, the resort is quiet and clean. and is tug away from the main street yet accessible . has a beautiful garden that is very well kept and air around is fresh. nice place to rest and read. the staff are well mannered and communicate well. provide basic breakfast, but its sufficient .
Cosy small hotel with personal touch ”
Especially if you want to avoid the relatively bustling city center of Siem Reap with big and average hotel blocks this is one of the places to be. If you do not need tv and other gadgets but look for a relaxed base to explore Angkor this place is very recommended.
Great hotel - clean, atmospheric, and friendly”
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It felt so local and atmospheric unlike the generic hotels on the main strip. This hotel is located in a quiet area off the main strip and it's a $2 tuk tuk ride to get to old town. This may be a positive or negative considering what you are looking for. Staff were very helpful, swimming pool clean, and food at restaurant tasty.
It was like an oasis - a real hide away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. The room was kept clean and neat. We enjoyed the use of nature - beautiful lush garden surrounds, and the bungalows made good use of timber, broken up by crisp white linens. The staff were always helpful and obliging- would definately recommend to others.
Great staff & nice pool. The only problem is that there are mosquitos coming from the Khmer vase in the bathroom.
Very nice staff there, excellent condition!
Very good hotel for the price”
Love This Place”
Such a great little spot, tucked away down a quiet side street. Lovely gardens, helpful and friendly staff, each room faces out to the gardens...it's just great all around.
Nice stay at quiet hotel”
Overall my stay was nice. The hotel surrounds are lovely, very relaxing and quiet. The pool was lovely, particularly considering the hot weather, and the breakfast set gives you a good range of food. During the time I stayed there were only two other groups staying so it seemed like a bit of a ghost town. The staff were mostly very helpful. Two things which were a bit disappointing was that they wouldn't organise us a packed breakfast to take to Ankor the next - something which other patrons had said they do. Also, their Agoda website says they hire bikes - which they don't (one of the reasons I'd booked the hotel initially). After a bit of pushing they suggested they should be able to get some bikes for us from somewhere else. The staff had a party on one of the nights we were there - which they invited us to, providing us with dinner and drinks. It was a really nice and generous offer.
Rustic but comfortable enough”
It was pleasant enough. The only issue during our stay was the occasional lack of running water due to some road works in the area. Our showering then was Khmer style - a cistern of cooler water with a dipping pot. The bathroom floor is stone with a drain, so it was rustic but more or less effective. The room has great screened windows, so we had hoped to sleep al fresco but it was too warm for that. We did have to run the a/c our second night. Breakfast both days was very satisfying with fresh juice, fruit, and French bread. FYI - There was a room safe, but no fridge, hairdryer, or television if you're looking for one. Although the hotel was a bit away from the town centre, there was always a tuk tuk driver waiting to take you wherever you wanted to go.
Off the beaten track”
Our stay was ok. Beautiful, setting in the garden. Breakfast was really good with really fresh croissants and fresh bread, fruit, fresh juice and choice of eggs. Staff were very helpful. Room quite basic but comfortable. No fridge was a pain as the hotel closes at 10 pm leaving a night man in charge. So if you made it back before 10 pm you could get a glass of ice to make a cold drink but not if you got back later. And the temperature was high thirties so we really needed cold drinks. We had no water for showering for 2 evenings so had to use the Cambodian jar of water in the bathroom instead. Basically you throw cold water over yourself. Also no hot water in the sink, only cold. I had thought that they replenished the cold water in the jar every day, but it certainly wasn't replenished while we were there. Also, no phone in the rooms so when you have a problem, like with the water, you have to physically go to reception to sort it out. We had separate towels for the pool which was good. Lunch is only served till 3 pm so if you have a day by the pool make sure you get your order in before then. Food that we ordered was good. Tuk-tuks were usually available outside but if not you could walk to the main road and find one. Overall it was good but there were niggly things that could be improved upon with a bit of thought.
Nice Budget Hotel with Great Staff”
First thing to know, there are no TVs available in this hotel. But I find it rejuvenating without the modern distraction. The hotel consisted of double storeys bungalows, each divided into 4 units, 2 on each level. My wife and I were placed in the upper level unit. We need to climb up and down the steps daily. Do note that though the steps are not dangerously steep, it is a challenge to older folks. The staff is helpful in giving suggestions and making arrangements. Do tip them generously. The location is not too near the markets but not too far to travel in tuk-tuk. The swimming pool is lovely and inviting in view of the hot Cambodian afternoons. I will choose the availability of swimming pool over TVs. All in all, satisfied stay in view of cost.
Pretty basic for its price”
We stayed there 6 nights in January 2013. The hotel is OK but pretty basic. The rooms are big and nice but cannot be compared with a hotel room at the same price in for instance Bangkok. The bathroom is a bit rough, the hot water shower is not particularly hot and the pressure is bad. Ask for extra blankets already at check-in since there are none in the initial bedding (only bed sheets). The breakfast is quite simple. Eggs and "bacon" with bread and jam. The French variant also contains a croissant but no eggs. Coffee is good, which is to be expected in a French owned place. The is not in the midst of everything, to get to the old maret is a 15-20 min walk. On the other hand, it is quiet.
Fantastic setting ”
Generally a great place to stay. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. The location is a little way from all the bars etc. but it's a nice walk or quick tuc tuc journey. Shame the bar and restaurant closed early as there was no fridge in the room, but just a minor quibble.
Decent enough for the money”
out of the main drag so its quieter although there is a ton of wildlife noises at night. rooms are decent and bathrooms fine. they have a pool and its all pretty. the breakfast was really basic and the one time we ate in the restaurant it was average. $2 tuk tuk ride into town.
Pleasant escape from city center but a few issues”
Overall a very good stay and value at the Borann for around $60 USD a night. If you prefer the B&B type retreat away from crowds with a more "nature" feel this is for you. The rooms setup are 2 floor villa style with a balcony and lounge chair which is a huge plus. Rooms are clean, but the bed is hard/squeaky, no wifi, tv, phone which can get annoying even though you probably came to relax anyways. Plus is the breakfast is excellent, pool is nice, and overall the staff is attentive and will help setup tours. For us the sticking issue was the mosquitos both in the room and at the breakfast platform which is outdoors. Maybe some scents or nets to rectify. Overall good stay, $2 tuk tuk or 5 min into town for bar / rests / night market.
Nice hotel but a bit over priced”
We stayed at the Borann for two nights. Overll, we liked the rooms, the breakfast was fine, the service friendly and efficient. We were unlucky that there was a funeral taking place next door for the first day so we had very loud chanting and singing going on for most of the day. We didn't think the Borann offered as much value for your money compared to other similarly priced hotels that were even closer to town. Eg the shower was basic, there were no facilities such as a kettle or hair drier in the room.
Nice little villas, great to have a pool!”
enjoyed our stay at borann, which provided great service and comfortable rooms. the staff organised a tuk tuk and tour guide for us upon arrival which made for a hassle-free time in siem reap. the pool was much-appreciated after a long day at the temples and staff even brought us our beers while we were in there! the bathroom was probably more rustic than we had experienced in other hotels but that didn't pose a huge problem. enjoyed the a/c!
Not quiet and too far from Siem Reap”
The four days we spent at Boran there were two weddings just in the opposite of our room; the music starts one day before and at the day of the wedding at five oçlock in the morning. The music is so loudy that you could'nt sleep further. I believe that the management of the hotel has an agreement with the tuk tuk drivers in front of the hotel; outside the hotel we found a much better price for visiting Ankora. The garden and swimming pool is nice. We will not go back to Boran.
stunning, beautiful and interesting Angkor”
have an early breakfast and enjoy Angkor treasures in the morning or late in the afternoon and take a break at the hottest hours of the day around the swimming pool with local food.
Wonderful Stay in Siem Reap with very very nice and funny staff”
Wonderful Stay in Siem Reap with very very nice and funny staff
