Keskinkertainen, mutta toimiva”
Strategic location & friendly staffs”
The hotel near Kampung Ayer & the waterfront. Hotel provides free shuttle to The Mall, Gadong. Airport transfer for 20BND per way/pax. Nearby have many local restaurants. The only thing to take note is during Ramadhan fasting month, those restaurants only open for take away, no dine in at all and no foods eating in the public areas. The hotel also nearby to bus terminal for those who goes for budget spending, they can take public Bus No.23 to the Brunei International Airport which only cost 1BND. Will recommend to friends to stay this hotel.
We stayed one night at The Brunei Hotel on our arrival into Brunei and again before departure. The staff we so kind, friendly, and helpful. The rooms we clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Location was great as we could walk around the downtown and to the mosque for sightseeing. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Good Location and Clean room”
Location of Hotel is at center of town and staff of hotel is very kind and approachable. We went to tour and staff called up travel agency and arrange it though we arrived at hotel midnight. Room is clean and comfortable.
Lovely boutique hotel”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Brunei Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book the hotel again when next I'm in the area. Everything was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly as well as efficient. I even received complimentary breakfast, even though it wasn't included in my room rate. Nice touches like these make a huge difference!
Very pleasant stay and friendly staff”
The location of Brunei hotel is very great. It's very close to many scenery spots. You can take water taxi to Kampong Ayer. It is very worth to go. The receptionist (JM) is friendly and kind of our earlier check-in arrangement. And, I needed to appreciate another staff called 'Azmi' - the night shift staff while I parked my car outside. He was very friendly and helpful. Because the free parking of this hotel is very limited. The breakfast is good for enough choices. I have a very pleasant stay and trip in Brunei. Once I travel to Brunei, i will stay at this hotel again. Thanks ^ .^
For business traveler”
Have been staying here 3 times....during my business trip. Value for money and easy access to nearby Japaneses Restaurant and Coffeebean.
Modern hotel in central location”
Just minutes by foot away from the water taxis, the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, shopping centers and restaurants. No facilities (like swimming pool or fitness center), breakfast is acceptable, staff very helpful efficient.
Nice Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Town”
I really enjoyed my stay the The Brunei Hotel, and will definitely consider staying there again, when next I have business in the same area. The staff were courteous and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was perfectly adequate.
The hotel looks modern and new. The toilet was so spacious. The breakfast buffet was good. The location was good as well, walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The staff were helpful. The only downside was the wifi, the wifi was so slow in our room and signal was not good. But overall it was a pleasant stay.
Centrally located hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan”
What I like: - The room: Nice size with good bed and fittings. No bath tub in the room, but the shower was good. - The location: Centrally located smack in the centre of Bandar Seri Begawan. Most of the attractions are also nearby. Walking distance to the water village andthe Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. - Value for money: I've stayed at a hotel with a smaller room and cost way more in Bandar Seri Begawan. - Good internet speed. What I don't like: - No pool/ gym
Very close to Yayasan Complex and Omar Mosque. They also have free shuttle service to different malls. This is important so you can save on transportation costs. The staffs are very helpful too. We enjoyed our 3 night-stay here.
The hotel is located just opposite Tamu (market) Kianggeh and within walking distance to main tourist attractions. Service is superb,we get to check in as early as 10am, spacious room, extra bed felt as good as the normal bed, super fast responses from the room service staff, nice breakfast.. Can't find fault with this hotel.
The Brunei Hotel is value for money”
The Brunei Hotel is situated at the city centre which is at walking distance to Kampung Ayer and one of the largest Mosque at the capital. With its great location, it is accessible to visit most attractions and the hotel also offers shuttle bus service to shopping centres further such as The Mall, an area close to a nice night market (Pasar Malam). Great value for money and helpful staff.
Good business hotel”
First time and travelled to Brunei for business. This hotel served the purpose. Centrally located, clean and cozy set up, friendly staff. Breakfast was sufficient. I had a good stay in The Brunei hotel. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe staying here and walking around the hotel for works and food. I didn't use hotel wifi and restaurant hence can't commend on that. However I recommend this hotel to business traveller.
Clean and spacious”
The furnishing is new as they have recently revamped. Room is clean and spacious however with amenities and furnishing of a budget hotel. No cupboard for hanging up your clothes. Internet signal was terrible! It disconnect every other 5 minutes and you have to login again and again. For business travelers, this might not be the best place to stay if you require stable and strong internet connection. Otherwise, staffs are friendly and nice.
expensive but worth it”
Overall, the stay is good. The room is spacious and clean. Very nice ambiance for a tree star hotel. Its located centrally near the city attractions. The staffs are helpful and you get to have unlimited wifi. The food choices are limited, expect usual breakfast menu (HALAL one). The only thing I have against the hotel is the price. We paid 150 SGD/ Brunei Dollars for a night. I think its only worth around 80 SGD.
Perfect location. ”
Check-in was very smooth and professional. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was standard size , yet the bathroom was very small with no counter space to lay down bathroom articles . Bottled water supplied in room each day. . No tub, shower only. . There was no closet space in the room and personal belongings had to remain in the luggage. A small rack hung over the safe to hang 4 items ( 4 hangers) . Large flat screen TV that we never turned on. Kettle for tea or coffee was provided on the desk. . Small fridge provided. No chair in the room for sitting except the one at the desk. View from our room( 316) overlooked the early morning market across the street was very nice. We could feel the pulse of the small market, the comings and goings of the people) from our bedroom window which we enjoyed to see got ready for our day. AC was very good. Room was quiet in the evenings even though the street was right below our window. Heavy drapes which darkened the room for sleep was appreciated. Greatest feature of this hotel? Very friendly and helpful staff and its city Center location for walking around. Minutes away from the water taxi.
One of the BEST hotels I had ever booked!”
Good location, very near to the bus terminal, and walking distance to mosque, museum, shopping centre, wet market and water taxi. Their staff are very very nice, very warm and friendly. Facilities in hotel are good. There is a food court in the building at the opposite side of the road. BTW, I love the smell of the soap :). One bad thing is far away to the airport but I think this is an unavoidable trade-off, because the location of this hotel is Good Enough in Brunei for both traveler and businessman.
Here for business trip and first time in this hotel. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is walking distance to restaurants, shopping centre, morning markets, and nearby attractions, ie. Museums. However, they do provide free van shuttle to Centre Point shopping mall which is (i think) the biggest mall in Brunei. Very friendly & attentive staffs. Breakfast buffet can be improved with more food selection, currently very limited choices.
