“WOW - Langham Shanghai Xintiandi”
As a family of 5, we had a fantastic stay at The Langham Xintiandi and would absolutely stay here again. The location is amazing - in the heart of Xintiandi. Everything is om your doorstep - excellent restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shopping and beautiful streets to explore. It made the perfect base for our trip, with easy access to the rest of Shanghai while still being in one of the city's most vibrant and charming neighbourhood's. In the first leg we stayed in Nanjing road, but Xintiandi is my favourite place. Think Upper East side, Manhattan meets Chelsea London but to infinity better. Our room was lovely and spacious. It had a great view overlooking the park and Xintiandi. It was perfect for two people. One thing to note for families is that while children under 10 stay for free, the bed isn't really large enough to comfortable accommodate three people. A larger bed or family-friendly sleeping arrangement would make an already great stay better. The hotel facilities were excellent. The swimming pool was spotless, with a lifeguard always present, the jacuzzi was a lovely place to relax and kids are welcome! The changing rooms were clean and well maintained. We also ordered room service, which was delicious and arrived promptly. The service was exceptional. Every member of the reception team was warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. A special thank you goes to Francis at Reception, who truly went above and beyond for us. On our final day, with less than an hr before we needed to leave for the airport, we realised we had brought far more than would fit into our luggage. Francis overheard and immediately found a solution, ordered a suitcase on his phone, and unbelievably it arrived within 45 minutes. His calmness, initiative and genuine willingness to help turned what could have been a very stressful end to our holiday into something we still talk about. That level of service is rare and deserves recognition. Overall, The Langham combines a phenomenal location, excellent facilities, and truly outstanding hospitality - first class ad best we have experienced, ever! We look forward to retuning to Xintiandi and the Langham!
