Fairly central base for a short visit to central P
I paid in advance; there were no hidden costs; rail hub, laundry, bistros all on same street; not too noisy.
A pretty relaxed staff on a 24hr rolling shift, renovation of flooring going on, mine had been done. A faulty shower issue was rectified ok and a dead bulb replaced. Room left unlocked accidentally by cleaning woman, nothing missing as such. There was a mini fridge and a good opening window over the street ). I slept soundly. It is what it is.

Good for budget traveller
Near to Gare du lest, there are nearby sundry shops and easy access to public transport
It was fairly clean hotel, but they have really small elevator, rooms are fairly clean for budget hotel in Paris. but the best thing it is really near to Gare du Lest if your a person that doesn't really mind bout the room but getting to the public transport is your main priority

Old but good
location, staff
Good: Good location in the area of Gare du est metro station, lots of restaurant and supermarket near hotel. The staff is very helpful and nice! Bad: The bathroom quiet old and not clean. The soundproofing not good, I can hear the sound when the lift open and close (my room is near the lift). I feel happy to stay in this hotel in this 5 days, it's worth if your budget is limited.

A cheap-ish place to stay but needing a upgrading.
The staff, close to the station, the boulangerie across the road from the front door.
The room was worse than most backpacker privates and more expensive. Very tired and in need of a good clean. Breakfast was minimal. 24 hour front desk was handy. Probably not stay here again.

If it weren't for the staff this hotel wonightmare
The staff, the location and not much else
The room was very small, two people couldn't pass between the bed and the wall. The bed was a small double and there wer nails projecting from the wall above the mattress at head height! The bathroom was minute, the shower screen rail was not tied down and the curtain fell off regularly, the fittings were by old and the carpets need replacing. The lift (capacity of three people) was broken for two days during our visit. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. English language skills were better than my French and we got on well and that really helped.
